You can have graphics and branding. Your account just needs to get past the newbie stage. Banning newbie accounts from posting images was a great help to those of us who'd rather take their forum reading without walls of geriatric porn.
I have never seen any 'geriatric porn' here. Not to mention walls of them. Maybe in the offtopic section is thread for this stuff but I rarely go there.
So I doubt that newbies will overuse their ability to post pictures - that is if you are normal person, interested in bitcoin or cryptocurrency discussion and not off topic pictures only.

But thing is - if you are developer of new coin you probably SHOULD have account older than a month on the largest cryptocurrency forum. It is not that you learned about bitcointalk after you learned about altcoins.

The restriction was put into place because Newbies posted porn in the speculation section.

I think that there must be better solution, cos present one, doesnt seems to solving the spam problem. Prohibition of images has no influence.
You must be joking right? Obviously you haven't been to the wall observer thread in the past and dealing with the XXX images of gay porn in a single image.

Correct, i haven't been there recently...

This has had a lot of effect and I don't recall the last time that I saw something like that. As I've previously stated, the altcoin section is mostly garbage and is treated as such. Anyone who is here solely because Bitcoin does not care about the number of coins that get created.

i think that words are more then enough to make a spam or to have influence on the price of the certain project on exchanges.
It hurts the project more then images, but posting any kind of posts is not prohibited anywhere on the forum.
Do you think that it is ok?

I also think that after images prohibition, there is a lot of new accounts created and maintained to become juniour accounts soon, so we can expect a lot more new coins very soon. And spam of course.

Is a matter of freedom of speech, and democracy.

Branding of new devs and it's coins is prohibited on this forum,

Nope, there is the alt coin section for exactly that reason.

however lack of graphics has a great impact on interest that people have for a project, but seems that administrators of this forum can not find a better way to partially disable launching new coins and developers,

You are paranoid thats all, newbies can no longer directly include graphics because it was a large spam problem in the speculation section.

but i ask myself several questions that i can not find strict answer:
Why they want to limit that?

They want to limit spam because too much spam makes the forum unusable.

-snip-
So how they can do it without branding?

Just wait 30 days, post daily or buy a cheap old account. There are other restrictions, like 360 seconds wait time between posts, they are in place for the same reason, spam.

To hell with that , its a private forum. Deal with it.
I completely missed that part while reading this on my smartphone. Enough with the free speech nonsense. The right to free speech has nothing to do with a forum. If anything, we should increase such restrictions.

Edit: And if you can't wait for a month to get started on the forum, you shouldn't be here.

No. This is BitcoinTalk, not createAnAltcoinTalk. That section is like a trashcan, with or without graphics. AFAIK only newbies are affected and it should stay that way. Besides, as soon as they become jr. members their links automatically become images.

It is not democratic to allow someone to post images and to limit others. The whole concept of bitcoin is to have some anonimity and independence , so why we do not have this here, on this forum?
Every day there is new people, with new ideas that want to accomplish, but they are facing obsticles like branding theirs product.
And those people want to attract more and more other persons that are not involved in any kind of virtual currency world. So how they can do it without branding? What will be the first impression when they see a ANN thread ? Nothing, bunch of sentences that do not mean nothing to them. Some of them do not bother to read at all.
Ofcourse, that has great impact on freelancers, coin developers, which will turn to less and less innovation in virtual currency world.
Current situation is worst than before. Scams are everywhere, and different then before, with so many viruses, no real trading at all, as we can see couple of days ago, of bitcoin pump and dump on Bitstamp. Not to mention that developing of altcoins is almost dead.

So i will make a pool, just to see members opinion about lack of graphics, and freedom to post graphics.

Do we need graphics and branding back to make this forum more attractive and to make development of virtual currencies to move from the dead spot or not?
