No idea whether it's possible. If it was then the only direction I'd be heading is the far, far future. A couple of minutes of that would be far more thrilling than a year selling lumps of mud to medieval scum.

Time travel is a proven fact in physics. A lot of scientist traveled in a future already.
The more gravity you have slower time goes for you. Less gravity faster time.

Scientists proved Einsteins theory by taking atomic clock on board of super fast plane. They flew around the earth at super speed. When landed, atomic clock on board always became late compared to one they used to keep on the earth.

Time is only rate of change.

"Present" is where we are, now. Past and future are programming by God.

I don't think its possible to go back to the past, but time travel to the future can be interpreted as freezing your body for say 100 years and then getting revived. One way ticket...

I think it's very unlikely, but I don't think it's impossible. Incredible as it may seem, there are scientists working on it...
I remember seeing a documentary in which some researchers were working on a device with several beams of lights to carry particles over time.

Even I do not know, until I saw real examples. Personally, I do not want to travel in time. We need to live here now and now, and only time will be wasted with this machine.

After reading the wikipedia page for time travel I still don't understand much of the whole concept.

I do not believe in time travel. It is fantastic. People have not learned to fly normally in space, but here it is a question of moving through time. The human body can not stand this.

That's why it's impossible, if it actually was we would already know about it and it would be used. Time is made up, it does not "flow" it stands in place but we need it tho.

IF time travel were possible (I don't believe it is).. I would travel back to the days of Rome while it was still a republic and not ruled by one dictator. Then I would live my life as a Roman. Go to the gladiatorial games, have slaves and be Roman.

Actually that is paradox which tells us that if you would travel back in time, you could not change anything. Why... because first of all, all events that happened, leaded to the moment where you traveled back in time. So if you change something, events wouldn't be same and you would not travel back in time in the first place.

I always thought about it, to travel back in time to make my future better but by doing so you can make it worse or even a member of your family that is now alive to be dead if you change your past....if you change your past it will be good for some and bad for others

Well yeah I don't know why do I believe in time travel but I really do believe in it,
And if I can go back in time I would provably change my pass and make some better future for my family.

Well, i love time travel movies even though they always have flaws. But i still enjoy them.
I can't really say i believe TT exist but i have my hope . if possible, i'll travel to the future and buy Sport Almanac, if you know what i mean

thanks for this, I think creating different timelines is good to visit the past and then when we want to come back to our real present it to swap from one timeline to another without affection the present or future. But how can you create different timelines, that is a big question!

There's a number of theories in physics. One says that there is one timeline and every change you make in that timeline will impact the future, which means that if you go back to the past and kill your parents you will disappear. The other one says that there are many timelines and you can end up in any of them. This means that if you go back to the past, you may end up in another world, where your parents don't know each other.
This second theory seems to be more probable.

one thing that always call my attention, what would happen if you visit yourself when you were younger and talk to him? and also can you create parallel worlds so you don't alter the future while visiting the past?

That's quite big job to do and maybe not even possible, maybe even if you were to go back, back in time and somehow show the technology to people and convince them that religion is an illusion, that could speed up the industrial and tech revolution.. or maybe go back with modern technology with you and convince them that you're a good and shape the religion first hand, also you could be going back a few times to visit your "followers".

If I will be time travelling, I think I will go back at the time that I first heard of bitcoin, I think that is 2010 and start earning or mining them in my mom's PC or our family computer.

Yes, i do believe in time travel. If so i would prefer to go to my childhood. Because the moments of childhood are the best moments ever and i want to get back my those moments.

I must say that your proposal is really interesting, but i would have to decline it. Because if i could go back in time i would not go to South America. If i could chose where i would go, well that is hard question, because there are lots of things i want to see. For example japan in Samurai period. Technology on the movies nowadays are really awesome where they uses some of scientific that will never exist on earth how if there are an scientist who could really make one? Who can bring back the future or will be teleported to change everything. Do you think it will be counted on the future?

I believe a version of time travel exists.  There are many documentaries that prove it also. Through the worm hole has good points. You don't need to travel at the speed of light to travel through time and we are all time traveling everyday and night. The sci fi traveling through time on a magic bus or plane or car doesn't exist.

You are right. There are things which are practically not possible, but theoretically possible. But there are some other things, which are not possible theoretically as well. For example, let's say that I want to increase the human life span up to 200 years. It is theoretically possible, if I find some way to prevent ageing. But it is not practical in real life. But time travel is different. There is no method to go back in time, even in theory.

Actually,I don't believe in time travel.Because it's not possible and of course I don't believe in imaginary things.We all know the reality but we don't want to trust.If it's possible then nothing will be here as future. If time travel will possible then we will not say this line,"Time and tide wait for none ".Because then time will wait for us,very funny! 😁

Many ambiguities in theory of time travelers:

1. Always talk about future improvements that should be repaired in the past.
2. Many theories that say if we met directly with our physical in past, will break the quantum that makes us lost forever.
3. There was never a word "using bitcoin" in future. So theory is not plausible.
4. If there is possibility millions of leap time for everyone in future, then this will never end because we have millions of cloning in any period of time.
5. If time travel indeed proven to be true, religion just a fiction to fill human mind.

Well i don't believe anyone has ever traveled in time and i think its beyond us to be able to attain this. Imagine if we can actually go back in time to correct wrong things we've done or simply to exlerience things that would matter to us nowbgat we didnt take notice of before. I'd love to think that there eould be a time when we can all do this but there may also be some consequences in the future if ever we have the capability to change the past

People are not bothered that much, because none of them lost a family member or a friend to the atrocities committed by Hitler and Stalin. If I could go back in time, then I will first try to eradicate religion. The root cause of 99% of the conflicts int he world is religion. Without that poison, the earth will be a much calmer and safer place to live.

But answer me this, if time travel was possible and someone uses it and goes back in time 7 days, would he end up in space where the Earth was 7 days before and if not, why not? If you ask me, time traveling isn't possible, since time itself doesn't exist.

This was funny to read i must say, and i totally agree with your way of thinking. There is too much that people does not take in concern when they say that they would do this or that. To have AK-47 in that day and age would be really good, but as he said, they don't need firearm to kill you. So i suggest that you take T-90 with a lot of fuel, so that no one could kill you in your sleep XD .

I can already tell you how it would end up.
Since you're completely new to this you'd end up lost in the jungle or bitten by poisonous snake or spider, catch a fever, whatever and die carrying your AK's before reaching any village.
Even if you managed to do it and present your power by shooting someone you'd be worshipped at first and then assassinated in your sleep or poisoned by some other power hungry warrior. Also in the jungle you wouldn't stand a chance against a tribal warrior with poisoned arrows and blow darts, because he could hear and smell you from afar and you wouldn't even know where to aim your weapon.

It's funny how many people would kill themselves (just like you) when given a time machine.

Why go back to just 30 years, when you have the capability to go back millions of years? Here is my plan. I will purchase a few AK-47s and a few thousand rounds of ammunition. Then I will travel back 2,000 years to some Latin American nation. I will become the chief of some small tribe, and using my firearms and knowledge of technology, I will conquer the entire world in less than two decades.

You really wouldn't want to see ancient Greece, Egypt, bring home some artefacts from the jurassic period, but waste this to go back 5 years and buy bitcoins. You could just invest in Apple in the 80's...

It is not something which can be achieved through the advancement of science and technology. Time once lost can't be regained. So no matter how much the technology advances, time travel will remain confined to the sci fi movies and comics.

I've studied some physics over the years, but that's a moot point.

Time is only measurable because we made it so by defining it. Using average lifespans as a measure of time is meaningless, as it references a time frame specific to our particular planet ie. an Earth year, which is not a measurement of time but a measurement of a cycle ie. how many Earth day/night cycles it takes for Earth to complete a single revolution around the Sun.

For time travel to be possible it would mean that every single point of reference would exist simultaneously, for all events that have ever happened, are happening or will ever happen. This means that if time travel were invented in the future it would have to also exist in the present and the past, which means we would have witnessed time travelling events already. While there are many images/videos/stories of these kinds of events having occurred, there is no hard evidence to prove these are anything more than misinterpretation.

For me the biggest hurdle is energy conservation laws. There are many examples of irreversible events in normal life that require energy input that results in a state change of an object that cannot be removed again to revert an object back to its former state. Take the breaking open of an egg and the beating of the contents as an example. Energy is used to break the shell to release the internal contents and more energy is used to beat the egg yolk/white. Time did not change the state of the egg, energy exchange did. You can't reverse this simple energy exchange and get back the original egg.

As far as I'm concerned, there is only now and the thing we understand as time is simply the transformation of energy all around us, altering the state of objects in a way that we can witness and perceive as a passing of time.

Kind of. I believe that we could go back in time but not in to the future. Also, there a lot of. Firstly, time doesn't exist, it's something we made up. Also, one thing that I like, if you were do go back in time, you wouldn't change your position, but  with the Earths movement and galaxy movement, where would you end up? In the middle of space?

Also, if time traveling exists, we would already know about it.

I agree with you. Perhaps this idea is only for movies, but agree that sometimes you want to dream. The scientific world begins to open with a dream. And suddenly something exists? Because sometimes there are reports that there are people from the past. Though of course to believe in our time media is also not an option.

Time travel is a thing of sci-fi movies. But if ever I can travel back in time, I will go back to where I started to learn about bitcoins and be one of the early adopters of it.

This is a very interesting topic for me as I have, many times also, thought about time travelling whenever I read about certain things in the past I wanted to see and experience. I think past cultures are very interesting, how things were made then, and how the people acted. I specifically wanted to know about ancient Greece and to know more about how their culture influenced most of how we run things today.

I believe in time travel but not on travelling to the past or going to the future. Time travel is our daily life experience. Time travel is a motion of activities from past to the present. Going to the past is impossible since the only existing reality is here and now, past is just a term referred to the point of time that has passed. Future is nothing but just a possibility but not existing separate from the present.

I do believe in time travel, and if one day people make time travel machine, whether that will be bus or automobile or something else, I would like to go back or in future. You could use a lesson in physics. Time exists because it's measurable.
Take a look at how living organisms react to time, their life can be fit into a timeframe and every specie has its own. Some live only one year (like some insects for instance) and some can survive for hundreds of years (trees). Time travel is possible, especially if there are multiple timelines.

I personally don't believe that time travel is possible, purely because I don't believe that time exists outside of being a human construct.

Nope of course if time travel is real, then there's no doubt that future and past is real. What happens if you go in future, then the past will change that means your future is not you anymore, your future is different so how will you still live? And if you go to past your future will change and how are you ending up building a time travel machine if you already change your future. This world is all about equality and balance, there's no equality, means no world.

I don't believe in time travel, but if such a possibility were, I would have travelled back in time. Knowing the price of tradable commodities could earn not bad. It may not be the best use for time machine, but it is a natural human desire.

Although time travel is impossible by all known laws of physics, relativistic time dilation is real and it's implementation is just an engineering task (like fusion power or super-human AI).
