paying taxes to support my government it was a great pride as my part, because taxes are the main revenues of the government it just like a father has to work and get pay to support the family and community services as well, aside from that it also help to build from growing community and to maintain the standardization services of the country, that's why i pay taxes,,,  Grin

How much extra do you pay? Or do you not have enough pride to go beyond the suggested amount?

This question can be asked for every rule we have.
Would you kill people or rob banks if there was no judicial system?
In this stage of our evolution, we need hard rules because without them we would be like apes with nukes. Paying taxes is one of those rules.
I don't see how society would function without taxes, at least in this moment.

Have you ever heard of Bitcoin?

Do you understand there are alternative ways of paying for things?  Don't you think the ancient method of using force could possibly be replaced by a voluntary system?

No...not likely. Most people can't think beyond what they are told.

If you use a countries infrastructure then you must contribute to maintain and improve it.

Taxes are necessary it's just a shame so much gets wasted through bureaucracy.

How much extra do you pay each year?

Giving more to our country is the best thing to do in our life, to support more their project and development to be made with our mother land,
This IDEA is awesome and great, but with such corrupt government officials on the line, don't want to do that. my money will be wasted with such alligators on government offices.

Lol. Seriously guys, it's your duty to contribute something for your country. You can't possibly ignore the fact that there is this government that maintains the peace and security in our society and do its best to bring some jobs for its citizen by making a deal with other countries and making some strong ties for prosperity and security in times where things would get messy. So, why would you not pay taxes? Are you that greedy and selfish? The law mandates it and we should follow it.

In theory, taxes are good. They pay for the roads, for the hospitals, in my country even for the schools.
This was the theory.
In practice an awful lot of money from the taxes is stolen. Plainly. The rest is already insufficient, but has to be used to pay the wages for the ones stealing from us and their families, all having "regular jobs".
Then the country get loans to pay for the schools, maybe hospitals too and.. darn! no money this year again for the roads, but maybe EU will give us some money which, if we cannot steal, we'll use for the roads.

Now take a guess, how much do I love to pay taxes?

PS. As you can see it's not only about extortion.

My mule don't like people laughing
You missed a vote topic. You should add I pay my taxes to avoid paying interest on late payments.

Here in Canada they usually don't put you in jail, they just take all your money instead.

If you pay without consent, have you ever looked up the definition of extortion?

extortion
/ɪkˈstɔːʃən/
noun
1.
the act of securing money, favours, etc by intimidation or violence

I pay my taxes unwillingly because paying taxes is the type of legal burglary for me. I do not want to give extra money to government's ridiculous investments. Paying taxes without my consent is complete extortion which is commited by legal forces.

Above 99% of tax payers are unwillingly paying it.
And among the payers, above 99% are faking or try to fake their income.
Tax is a forceful social duty. If you want to do more it's better to do it personally for the sake of your name and for confirming you money is not being used in useless task.
