i was born hating mussels as living in australia the only ones i tried where smoked in a can or jar, then i took up scuba diving and soon found out how good a raw scallop was when you are 14 meters below, also great in white wine garlic and onion in a extremely hot pan for 30 seconds a side.
but now i live in belgium
mussels are amazing if i wasnt baking 12 various cakes and breads tomorrow i would go out for mussels

I adore them, for me I can easy be on sea food only don't need meat at all. Sea food, mussels, fish, alges, for me perfect. I know that mussels are very strong and has an intense taste but its simply beautifull

They taste really nice with cream garlic and white wine i think that they taste lovely you should try them with that
Why should I hate them? They could be very tasty food if prepared properly. I like them most in some combination with pasta or risoto.

I believe it actually depends how you prepare it. Soup and grilled are two I would say is the best. Especially grilled topped with butter and cheese!
I like mussels too but it will all depends on how they were cook that's what will make the difference.

Never tried them, but it looks something I'd either barf after eating or love.
