Most GPU rigs already have weak CPUs because every MHz of CPU that they don't use is extra purchase cost and extra wattage from the wall. I have essentially free power already and I put my CPU to work mining monero

Downloaded Verus Desktop App and tried to bootstrap the blockchain, but sha256 file is not found, so it doesn't verify. EDIT: Actually, it doesn't download anything. While the normal blockchain download fills the specified directory, the bootstrapping doesn't do anything.
Can't insert my existing Verus address anywhere in the desktop app.
Wiki is very overwhelming and not helpful.
Neither a noob-friendly project,nor actually working at all... 
Uninstalled.
EDIT2: Downloaded snapshot and inserted it manually. Solo mining seems to work now. Other points I made are still valid tho, I don't know what address I'm mining to
EDIT3: Can't find any option to mine on a cellphone. Maybe you're referring to staking?

I'm mining verus with a Ryzen 1700, 14Mhs because it's the most efficient for me with a rig of GPUs
According to whattomine I suppose to mine 3.242109 coins a day, but the real mining in Luckpool I'm gaining 1.94564642
Be careful to buy CPUs only looking in mining calculators, I'm used to and it's only an estimate but it's very different at the moment

It gets 6k to 8K a day on centralized exchanges and double that on decentralize exchanges so 10k to 16K
There was 30k of Vol yesterday from big exchange news and more to come.

Its nice to mine that much, but you cant really sell with this 24hour avg. volume. :/
The best day was $8000 trading in 24 hours. If someone sell $10000 worth of coins it will go so deep, but hopefully the coin will rise in the future.

It might make $13 a day today but most likely not for long. Most likely due to this post many people will start to mine it and the difficulty will go up. Even if the difficulty doesn't go up then most likely the price of "VersusCoin" will start to fall.
I stopped basically mining the most profitable coins because I got tired of the switching back and forth, it was too much of a headache and in the end the profitability was pretty much the same no matter what you were mining.

i have stopped mining a long time ago because the profitability for me is very small owed to high energy consumption. but i stake some coins from time to time. but i usually do not stick to one or 2 coins, as a lot of them can easily go down the drain very fast. so once i discard the coin in exchanges, i just find a new one. the turn around should be fast when it comes to alts because very few of them can really sustain its market. might as well increase its value.

Or I could just buy the coins and start staking them while you sink money into hardware and wait a year to get your money back. I will also buy shares in the power company that your electricity costs are funding my dividends.

I'm not good at this field! I don't put CPUs to work, so I don't make any money from them. I will learn more! All my work is done from a smartphone. I sometimes use a computer but it is very inconvenient.
