I believe you don't have to plan it when you're going to stop gambling. It'll just come when you realize things. If you think it's time to stop gambling, then stop. I know it's not that easy especially when you're getting addicted to it but before engaging yourself in gambling, it's better to set your limitations, for you not to get too attached to it in the very first place.

Setting limitations is a tough decision for a gambler once you are inside the game. You tend to spend more than what was planned. But going back to OP's query, I certainly do have exit plan. But that exit plan is I believe very far from happening. I don't know yet when is the time to call it quits. So right now, it is still an exit plan.  Grin

Certainly, a lot of gamblers have exit plan but the realization of that exit plan is always hazy to most of them. The main enemy is yourself in this battle.

Plans like this I have done, in the past gambling is my lifestyle because every day I gamble without thinking about how much bankroll I have and will continue to gamble even though it is a little money. But because something happened until in the end I continued to gamble to get a big win at the end and after that was achieved I decided to leave gambling. But honestly, gambling can not really be abandoned permanently, because there are times we will return to gambling even if it is just for fun and want a little profit.

But honestly do you have an exit plan or the right time for you, that you are you going to leave gambling, not a week or a month but permanently, or you are going to stay and die gambling?

How will you limit yourself if you feel lucky and almost wins? Will you just stop and follow your supposed exit plan?

There's no such thing as that in gambler's mindset.

They will just stop once they got to lose, they got broke, they got wrecked.

No, I don't think I am addicted to gambling. I can leave gambling in anytime I want, and I know that I don't need to chase the win money or big win because that will be too difficult for me.

I have that plan but not now because I still want to enjoy the gambling games. Perhaps, I will leave gambling permanently someday because I don't want to see myself become addicted. That will be difficult for me if I am addicted to gambling because I know that it will everything I have.

I don't have an exit plan nor I do find myself in addicted to it since I set a particular amount that I want to play put the other money aside for other purposes. I don't think there is other way to get out of if you are too much addicted. I think setting limit is the best way. This way you keep it under limit and balanced.

When I am able to generate consistent profits in other businesses and of course far more than gambling profits, maybe that's when I will stop gambling and occupy myself in other businesses. It might be quite difficult to leave gambling for someone who is very addicted to gambling, but I'm sure someday he will come to his senses by himself.

And maybe for some people who are not married, they will start to stop gambling after marriage because they cannot continue that bad habit. They will think that needs in family are more important than gambling, well everyone has their own plans in future.

If you are a chronic gambler, you will have a hard time planning your exit plan, you will not even think of crerating a plan, only a proffesional psychiarist can help a chronic gambler to plan his exit, I'm lucky that I am not a chronic gambler, I can plan easily how can I plan my exist, I can replace it with online gaming which is very popular with all my friends.

I think it could be, a chronic gambler out of his gambling habit. It's just that it takes quite a long time, chronic gamblers will come out when they already feel bored with gambling and that's when they realize that they are doing bad habits. Everyone has restrictions, including limitations in addiction, someone surely have boredom.

It's really difficult to exit gambling.
If you have won money, greed doesn't allow you to stop gambling. You want to win more. People think they can win again.
If you have lost money, you will continue your effort to win the money that have you have lost before. You lose and lose again and you finally have to exit as you cannot afford to continue gambling.
Generally, there are many people addicted to gambling without any plan to exit gambling unless they have to exit.

It's not impossible to leave gambling cause if one is determined to quit, then it should not be an hard task especially when one is not addicted to it at first. If you find yourself finding it hard to fully call it a quit, then you are addicted.

As for your question, in the future, I may not continue gambling and it has nothing to do with addiction but more of life or interest changes. Even now, I don't play continuously instead I play, take a major break and play after weeks. It's just my way of keeping my sanity.

I am confident that I am not gambling. Proof is that I am not using my money but some satoshis that I can get from their faucets.

I may loss but what I am really losing is time, and that's it.

Grin Have you thought about the satoshi left in your wallet continuously, what it will amount to because the satoshi should make part of your coins. This means you are also gambling maybe not an addict but something is going out from you to gambling site.

According to your level on how hooked and how addicted you are, it's almost impossible to leave gambling because you will be leaving the excitement and all the feeling associated to gambling, not to mention the prize that you are going to win, if you already set up a winning method.
Exit plan?

I don't have any, but in cases that I already won and won big, I easily exited and quit and I don't want to stretch my luck for that day. So my only exit plan is to have control, and not push yourself and of course, don't be greedy.

But honestly do you have an exit plan or the right time for you, that you are you going to leave gambling, not a week or a month but permanently, or you are going to stay and die gambling?
Really hard to say, and even if I'm in a losing streak, I would just stay out for a couple of day, just sort of cooling off period. Of course I wanted to quit at some point, but it is going to be difficult. I have periods wherein I quit gambling for years when I don't have a stable income. But when things are going right on my end, I will continue to play to have some fun.

I'm currently taking up my doctorate and am in the middle of my dissertation dilemma right now, and gambling is my only escape to all the paper works and odd researches that will meet me along the way of my boring life. I have no problems whatsoever when it comes to controlling my gambling habits, and I can definitely stop it forever if I wanted to but seriously, I need something to keep me occupied in the mean time and that's sports betting and casino games.

It actually depends on you if you want to quit despite of getting addicted, its not bad to stop it especially when it can bring good effects on you as a person. We should know how to manage ourselves when it comes to something like this. We have different techniques in order to win but we must understand that in gambling there is no assurance that you will always win.

I already tried to stop gambling but I really can't resist it especially before like almost a month I already didn't gamble but there's a very small inside me telling me to gamble lol, but I already learned.
As long as I have extra money, I still doing gambling, I only gamble my money that I afford to lose.
The more you dared to quit gambling is the more it became desirable, your eagerness and lust will be more active with this trials so better just let it be
Anyway I see nothing wrong with gambling unless you are addicted things that only few are suffering
Why instead of quitting is you study how to control playing and limit your self from betting ,I mean lessen the amount to risk and be contented if what’s the outcome everytime you play and never forget to not Chase the losses

Permanently quit is difficult especially for addicts? I suggest not to stop permanently, but to play in some free time, not every day, but depending on your desires and free time, can be once a week, or 2 times a week. as long as gambling doesn't harm you, why do you stop it permanently?

In my case, I won't leave. Because why should I? I am not in the level of being so addict in gambling to the point where the money or amount I allotted in it is very high and it seriously affects my personal savings. So even if I stay in doing my gambling activities, I won't die because I'm in control on how to use my money on it.

But if you are someone who uses his or her money excessively just for gambling, then it's better to exit or stop for a while. And when you decide to return, be sure to be a wiser gambler.

An exit plan is not necessary for gambling, you know how to control your self if you want to exit in gambling. But why you are planning to exit instead of having relaxation for a while. Exit means you will never gamble anymore and totally leave gambling. Remember that gambling is a form of entertainment and not necessary to spend more time.

You can decide anytime in your self when you stop to gamble, if not, you have a serious gambling illness that probably you are already addicted. You know what, there is no cure in gambling addiction but it can be treated. Before it's too late self-moderation is a must and exit plan is not needed.

You could quit if you are a gambling addict,  don't feel comfortable gambling or your negative experiences from  gambling outweigh the positive. You don't keep doing what brings you more harm than good. I guess gambling experience is different from person to person. It is alot similar to our experiences in Crypto trading which some do just fine on while others don't.

I don't have problem deciding to leave gambling permanently because I can't resist not having a single money at all so that makes me to keep some money not for gambling but for myself. Anyway, i'm not into gambling that much so I can leave gambling without having to decide whether I stop gambling or not.

I will not have a problem if I decide to do an exit in gambling I am not a chronic gambler I can stop anytime I want, although I'm going to miss playing if I decide to totally stop I can do it. I'm playing to have some fun, not for profit, I will just replace it with online games and that's it.

I tall goes down to how much time you are spending in gambling site, if you spend 3 to 5 hours, you will really have a hard time withdrawing because it is deeply embedded.

Your question is appropriate for professional glambers. Who are playing occasionally like me they don't need exit plan. Because they already on exit mode. I play sometime like weekly or monthly, but I am really not addicted on gambling so I should not have exit plan. Who are already addicted they might not really leave gambling. I have seen even on real life, they gamblers have opportunity to gambling anywhere they will try to join. So its pretty much difficult leave gambling for addicted people. But its possible in my opinion, should be try hardly and maintain habits, and must be busy with some other works.

You can realize it yourself that it is not very easy to quit gambling. Even if you are not addicted to gambling, we still want to play it because it give us pleasure and fun.
(.....)
Especially with the presence of your friends, I remember before when I stopped to gamble for how many months but here are your friends, you can't just resist with them because you can bond with your friends and make memories while gambling.
You can't exit in playing gambling as long as you play moderately, not too much is okay.

To be honest, if I get the capital and a decent job, I will leave gambling permanently, because of my immediate need to gamble. in my opinion gambling is just a game and for fun, not to be the main job.

No I don't have any plan to stop playing gamble, why? Simply because I like it, I have been playing gamble since more than 15years ago and I enjoy it. The main important thing is that as long as I can control myself including controlling money, emotion, etc then I will still play gamble. Gamble does not affect my daily life especially on financial thing so I can continue gamble as long as I wish but I can stop it as well once I feel bored about it. Maybe most other people will say that I'm addicted, but I'm quite sure that I'm not because I can control myself so far.

If you don't have one you should have one in case you are losing to much and you are neglecting your family, that's a hard thing to do, if you are very much into gambling, in my case I can do an exit anytime, I just spend my excess money and just having fun one thing that I need to learn here is to not push my limit.

If anyone is addicted to gambling then he or she will not leave the gambling until they run out of money. For most of the gamblers they do not have any exit plan. Even they do not have the plan B or plan C for the situation in which they started losing more than the winnings. No money management plan also.
People come in gambling without any plan and that is the main reason they lose more money.

stay and die gambling?

Life is a gamble so thats the same risk everyone has, the choice here is to place money on some gambles or not.    I never place large amounts so I have nothing to walk away from in that sense.   Just betting small amounts keeps it as a game I can play my whole life and its no big deal, I wouldnt want to be controlled by big gambles tbh.

For who already addicted, it will be very hard depends on how much he into it. I mean sometime when people do other thing beside gambling to make them forget about their addiction. But it is better to prevent or make barried to ourself before get addicted. If me, glad i am not really addicted to gambling because i am stingy although only to buy something that important.

I have no problem leaving gambling sites if I have a good replacement for the excitement it's bringing to me, I'm not really very addicted to gambling, but of course you will miss the excitement and the thrill for every bet, there will be withdrawal symptoms but I can take it, I've already overcome a lot of great things in life.
