Thanks for the warning. Unhappily I  have found that my desktop purchased one year ago has had that backdoor. Following GIGABYTE recommendations I have updated BIOS. Clean Windows install from accompanied backup disk was my further step taken  after BIOS update.

Needless to say that backdoor on  machine  used to deal with  crypto is the last thing every bitcoiner wants. It is enough to make one cry when he/she gets such  shit  out of box.

 (not far as  May 31, 2023)  case:  millions of motherboard sold by well known maker such as  Gigabyte have  backdoor in firmware .

Researches from Eclypsium Labs who first  found  backdor in Gigabyte firmware have released script that "that can assist others in managing their Gigabyte backdoor mitigation plans.".

Infected machines  are exposed to the wide spetrum of risk.
