That electronium of whatever was called wasn't actually mining. It was fake type of mining. However technically you would earn actual rewards using your phone. Another 99% of all the other miners found on typically the Google App store are malware to steal your private info and private keys. They can even include clipboard attacks so if you try and send a bitcoin payment it will change the address to theirs.

Reason why there are no phone miners is obvious. They can't compete with GPUs and ASICs. If you took all the phones on the planet in existants the hashrate would maybe be equal to an ASIC or 2. Hence for a single phone there is no point.

Yeah, the electroneum app was quite annoying in that sense. It was initially part of their roadmap to enable mobile mining, but the actual release they did was 'participatory' mining, not PoW. Anyway...

Cloud mining is not mining and almost always a scam.

Staking is not mining.  Its more akin to investing and drawing interest than it will ever be mining.

People try to stretch and manipulate the meaning of mining...but here mining is Proof of Work.  Everything else is something else.

The only thing that's near identical to mining on mobile phone is cloud mining and staking, but the real proof of work algorithm is way beyond the capability of any smartphones, even the high end androids

Hi all! Do you know any apps in the phone (Android/iOS) which really allows mining Ethereum?
Well you must be heard this thing from any shit mining apps. Like all people have said here, ethereum can't be mine with a smartphone. And almost all of altcoins is not mineable on the smartphone. If you want to mine something, you need an effort, at least build a vga mining rig. Otherwise you will be end installing some shity faucet apps.

Nothing of value is ever mined on phone.  And 99% of “mining” on phone is scam....phones are no good for any mining.

The answer is NO, Ethereum use a POW algorithm called Ethash, a smartphone or ios phone can never handle this PoW algorithm, if you come across any app promising you that your phone can mine ETH its either a way to scam you or infect your smartphone with malware or spyware

Hi all! Do you know any apps in the phone (Android/iOS) which really allows mining Ethereum?

1. You're on the wrong board, Ethereum is altcoin, please move this to altcoin mining.
2. Ethereum cannot be meaningfully mined with phone. On the phone you may get faucets or pay-per-click apps that may give you some pennies, or you may get fake apps that will give you nothing or even steal personal information. But that's not mining.
