You either have control and you keep yourself or you don't! I guess once you lost control of your personal data there's no going back, it's out there and you can't just "take back control"! Depending on what "info" about you leaked maybe you will have to request some new documents, people had all sorts of problems, it can be really crazy!
So in the digital world security is very important, you simply don't share important stuff just like that, especially not all documents without thinking twice! It's why I don't like KYC generally, I avoid it whenever I can... but if I have to verify myself I am checking the service twice before I do that!
