Binary option in fact is a mixture of both trading plus gambling. As you need some analytical skills to understand and do it we easily can consider it some sort of trading and this is first part of explanation. You can not predict and guess correctly like in gambling luck also plays its role so it is also a sub form of gambling as well. This is how I take it to understand.

Although there is some skill involve in it but binary option is more similar with gambling, in short time of period it's really hard to predict about anything especially with 1 minute and 5 minutes lines, this turn this into gambling because it is all about our luck and we call it pure form of gambling.
