Personally music doesnt work well on me especially when i want to focus. If i have a choice, i would play any music while playing. Online, bg music is okay. In casinos, you have to bear on it. I like to listen to music but nothing plays. Music enhances the ability to learn anything improves memory. Music helps the brain learn and remember. I find listening to music and doing something else quite distracting to be honest. If one thing I have actually noticed, its the fact that I don't even like the sound of games while playing, they seem to be a distraction most of the time, this is why sometimes, if i am not listening to music while playing a game, i prefer to turn off the game sound completely and play in total silence, this also helps save my battery, whether it be on my mobile phone am playing or my laptop, playing without sound helps save my battery for longer play time.

There are sometimes that you may want to enjoy yourself, the game will not be about winning and you are not going to use high amount of money. I don't think there is comparison though as far as gambling and listening to music. I mean you can play without music and I will assume majority doesn't want distraction when they are playing, hence it's better for us without any music in the background.
