Underestimate- nothing
If I'm to be a trader I cannot quit my work because of trading because whatever thing we do in this live we should be very serious with what is giving us physical money because they are like a step up stone that will prevent us from lack, however he should have even take it as a privilege as he is trading and working in real time because jobs are rarely to come by, though it depends on the money you make from trading, if perhaps your salary a month is $400 and sometimes you make over that amount a day and you see that the job is dividing your attention then I wouldn't say the person is wrong for quitting the job, but if the person is not consistent yet then taking the job serious is the best option because all the traders I no are all working class people who even encourage other traders not to quit there jobs for anything based on what they also saw.

And that will be like one of the wrongest advice to quite and then focus on trading we know how bad that jobs can be but the money can always used for something and you won't have worries because your job does not stop you from trading, I know people that do all time trading but on the other hand they have other bussiness and use trading as a side hustle, seriously jobs are hard to come by so why not stick to the one that we already have and save our self a lot of stress. And am someone can actually go out for work then come back then go for a bath and then eat and come back to my trading.

Because I don't think trading stops anyone from there jobs so it's not enough reason to want to leave the job we should think of how to be more initiative, and everything should be planned out and it makes a better sense thay way, let's assume that all hopes are put in trading and you did not eventually make anything so why put to much hope in trading what if it does not work, because I know of even practitioners that actually trade and they did not quite there job.

Yes, I did, it was even twice and I tell you that I do not regret it because they are not extremely paying jobs. Smiley

I am a risky taker, though a reasonable one at that, and I must have weighed my options before doing that. Notwithstanding, I don't advise people to do that in the name of trading, the luck I have might not be the luck others would have and as we know, the majority of traders are losing, so what becomes of you after losing the whole money you invested in it? We should think and act conservatively and reasonably.

I want to know, the reason why I am putting this up here is because as we already aware that trading doesn't guaranteed a regular profits, or we can't be sure of how much would make either every week or months. Does it mean we should stop our office because a trade gives us x amounts today and we think we would still have that chance tomorrow?

I do feel the urge to have a day off from work but not to actually leave my job as it gives me a fixed income and at the same time I love doing my job so hell no on quitting work in exchange for temporary profit.

The answer here is case to case basis depending on how you love your job and how much do you earn to your trading.

There’s no way to have 1 correct answer here.

Quitting your job despite of being not to be a profitable trader or someone who dont make profits is really just that putting up yourself int that great risks because we do know that trading doesnt really guaranteed profits on which if you arent that good but still decided to quit then you will be ending up on miserable specially when it comes to financial aspect. The time that you should be quitting your job is on the moment that you are making profits even though not constant but you are profitable on which this is something your main indication that you are already a good trader. There are even those who are good ones who dont like to quit up their job because they do still want to go into their workplace and still wanting to earn money but actually this is really just that a good back up money that you can make with your job.

This will fall into someones preference because there are ones who do want to learn up t rading because they do really want or like to stop on going into office and totally get rid of traffic and in socialize with other people. We do know that there are those individuals who are really that not liking with this kind of system but rather they do want to go solo instead.  Quitting your office work is something a very risky decision to be made because we do know that when it comes into this kind of decision then you should make sure at least that you are already profitable.

No, I don’t. Having a stable job creates more income guarantees than trading itself. Even though we hear successful trading stories spread out in the social media, but what we don’t know is how far they lose a lot first before starting to gain significant profits from trading. To the fact that you could end up losing all your hard-earned money first before you start making profits. That’s why I prefer to keep my job while I continuously progress in trading. In the end, the more sources of income, the bigger my savings will be when retirement comes.

Yup. The stories are mostly fake. I even want to say all fake. The successful guys don't really make stories, its the ones who fail and need more money from semi trading related hustles who make all the noise.

People forget that trading as a full time job is actually very rare. The real 9 to 5 traders work for someone else, using someone else's money. They make trades on behalf of rich people.

You doing it on an exchange with your own money? Then you are def better off with a day job, focusing on yourself and growing your careeer.

This question is common in trading. I think my input for this is the same as the majority, where I need to find consistency in money or income just like your day job where monthly you have your salary, a fixed amount in exchange for your work.
In trading, I believe it's difficult to make consistent profits, but it still depends on how you trade.
There's no such thing about consistent profits in trading but the best thing to consider or target out is to have that sustainable profits overtime on which at the time or moment that you can be able to sustain your living despite of the loses that you are experiencing. We do know that loses are inevitable but one thing that gives out that advantage is that on the time that you do become that profitable is that you wont be already relying with your dayjob salary. We are all wanting to acquire such trading skill but of course its not something that you can get in a short period of time but its not something that impossible or something that you can attain. Who doesnt want to have a life that not be going into office and having some work? When you are a profitable trader then time and other aspect will really be showing up some freedom of your time on which you can do work from home without any issues and this is something that you will be needing to target upon. Its hard but doesnt mean that its impossible to learn up. It will really be that up to you on how you will be acting out accordingly. It will really be that be basing up into different factors. In speaking about office works on which there are still those people who do want or like to go or having some office works despite on having that profitable trading career because they do still want or like to mingle with other people or socailization because when we are just in the convenience of our own house then its really that indeed boring.

Do this instead. Keep on working and trade isn't time extensive, you can always set the buy and sell limit which is automatically going to hit base on your trading plans and the coins that you're buying. I've thought about this before and I've realized that profits in trading isn't really guaranteed so I'd go being an investor which is effortless and do the other things that I can like the continuous working in my traditional job. To those that have plans in quitting your day jobs, it's okay but make sure that you have capital and savings to sustain your living. If not, you can continue to work and trading part time. Use your salary for your bills, use the trading profits for building up your dreams.  Wink

Short answer: you don't.

Hear me out.

There is no guarantee of profits in trading and it is more of an emotional game, you'd still need your job even though you're profitable for the first few months. The job would keep the mind in a sane state because if you don't have the job anymore there is usually an undue pressure to make profit which can even prompt one to take trades they don't normally take.

The plan is keep job => become profitable for a free months => can safely quit now that you've gotten a hang of your craft.

Any attempt to quit early will just result in more pains.
Keep your job and keep pushing and learning from your trading experiences. You may be profitable at the moment, but losing will be quite inevitable the next days and months, so you have to stay cautious when trading. And while having a job gives you fixed amount of income, but in trading, sometimes you lose, sometimes you gain. So consider trading just a side hustle, while your job is the main source of income. That way, you can't be wrong in your life's decisions.

If I feel that the profits I get from trading have accumulated enough to start a business, then I am not afraid to leave an office that previously did not pay me enough. The problem is, trading never guarantees profits, even though a real job can at least give me a steady salary. It doesn't matter how big the business you develop, as long as we own it then we are the boss.

Working under pressure without being supported by a sufficient salary is not suitable to be maintained forever. It's true that finding a job is difficult, but if there are other places that are more profitable (personal business) then I think that could really be a solution. But no matter what, there are always risks that need to be considered in whatever decisions we make.

There are 2 options here, one of which is that you are very lucky in trading by buying a token that has increased in value hundreds of thousands of times, or the work in the office is going too badly and even with a small profit you decide to leave it. I think that the best option would be to continue working in an office if it allows you to combine it with trading.

I wouldn't think of quitting my job for the results of trading. Moreover, trading can still be done even though we are busy with work. I mean there is still time to trade even though it is on the weekend or when we finish work. I think we can still benefit from doing all of them without leaving one.
as you said, the benefits of trading will not always be right. maybe we get a lot now, but we will not know what we can earn tomorrow. especially making trading like a daily activity may create its own pressure for traders. except for those who are focused on trading every day.

Why do you even have to leave your job just because you're trading, and you're making money from trading? It doesn’t make sense to me, I don’t think trading will stop you from doing other activities. I know someone that left his job just because of trading during the last bull run, but he ended up regretting it.

During the bull run, he was making money and was thinking the work that he was doing was just stressing him, and the amount paid doesn’t really worth it, so he decided to stop, and he was enjoying his money, but when the bear market started, he was no longer making money, rather, he was losing, and he lost most of the money he was trading with, and he ended up regretting why he left his work, he doesn’t have a choice but to start looking for another job. During the bull run, most people are always making money, but when the bear market starts, only professional traders are always making money.

Do you quit your office work when you starts making profits from your trading.

I cannot quit my office job because I have started making a profit from trading. I think this should be based on how much I earn as profit from trading, and I will be very sure before I quit my job. I have other things to do, like business I established using the profit generated from trading, so that after quitting my job, I will not rely on only trading; also, I will make sure I’m a professional trader, and I will make sure I trade for a long time, and I will make a lot of money before I think of quitting my job.

Since you know that trading doesn’t guarantee a regular profit, this should be another reason why you shouldn’t think of quitting your job that gives money every time since trading cannot do that for you, so it is not really advisable to quit your job and face trading, but there is a certain stage where your trading skills and the kind of profit you have made from trading will make you consider quitting and facing the trading. However, trading can give you a huge amount today, and tomorrow you will lose something more than that. Be aware of that also.

You can never make regular profit by trading, you can lose the amount you get by profiting several times and then losing once. So trading profit should never take away from your regular source of income, it would not be a logical thing to do. You don't have to go to any particular place to do trading so I can do trading whenever I get a chance but it's not always possible to get a good job. So first of all there should be more focus on regular passive income. If you greedily leave your job and consider trading as a source of regular income, this attitude will put you in a lot of danger at some point.

Quit my job to focus on trading? No. I don't know if being a full time trader without any other side hustles works for some  people, but the few professional traders I've seen have other sources of income they earn from. Some are into tech related fields, some are trading mentors and many have other investments they earn from when trading isn't profitable to them.

For someone who already has a job, quitting his job because he has started making money from trading is not a good idea. If he must quit his job, he must put plans in place to enable him not go broke during his bad days. Most decisions require wisdom and not getting carried away with the excitements of the moment.

A quote that perfectly suits this situation, I think, is, "Buy a car worth 10 lakhs when your bank balance is more than 100 lakhs." This quote says a lot when you focus on its meaning. Coming to your question, it would be a stupid decision for a person who just earns a little profit from trading and quits his job. There is no guarantee of passive income from trading, so how can someone block their passive income? It would be better to make a significant amount of money from it, allowing you to live peacefully without any fear after losing some trades. At this stage, I would recommend leaving your job, but before that, it would be a poor decision.

I use trading as my second source of income but I can not always make a profit from trading. I realize that I still difficult to profit from trading so I still working on my job and even if I can make a stable profit from trading, I will not quit my job and focus in trading. That will not easy for me so I still better to do two things which is trading and work in my office.

I am not confidence to say I can always make a profit daily from trading so that is why I still need my job to earn money. If I can make a profit from trading, I save that money for my future and my investment. So far that's works good for me so I keep trying to make more money.

It depends on how the trader responds, if they feel that they are trading just for a side job, then they can do that and still work. But if they are already getting consistent profits and are sure that their decision to become full time traders is final, then they can quit their jobs and pursue a career in trading. So it all comes back to the trader, they must listen to their heart and how the history of their trading activities, if they feel confident enough that they can profit from the market, then they can become a full time trader. But if not, then they should just keep working.

The thing is even if you’re profitable in trading for over a year that doesn’t guarantees your confident on something this volatile, for me one shouldn’t quit their jobs to focus only on trading except for reason(s) like the job itself is too risky like related to life insurance stuffs, or it is too stressful that it requires your time all the day long, and it’s stress isn’t even relatable to the incentives from it, this way you can simply quit your job but not focusing on the trading alone.

Before quitting you should have used the early days profit to actually set up another income source or find a less stressful and even less incentive income. The reason for having another source of income is simply to be less dependent on the income on trading.

Also trading requires other capital sources that’s why you even see numerous mentorship programs just for them to source for larger capital. It is usually a bad idea to focus only on trading to me

If I were single, I would quit.
If I were married, I high unlikely to quit.

I think at some point you need to dare to quit your job and try to work on your own i.e. self employed, hence I suggest people to get married when they're already self employed, however if they choose to marry when they're still working under someone, they need to expect to become employees until they death.

Become a trader was one of my childhood dream, but after I know in trading you will not always make profit, I choose to not become a full time trader.

Why quit your job when you’re still able to make them both profitable. Instead, continue to work on your office hours and trade on your free time. That is way more profits secured.

We all know trading outcomes can never be certain all the time. Yes, you can be a skillful trader and achieved significant amount of profits, but the question is how long? Unlike if you work and trade, whenever you lose in trading, at least you still have a permanent job that will provide you income regularly.

Lol! That's the worst decision any human can make! Your job is a source of your regular income. Never leave your job unless you have enough savings to take care of your emergencies and the remaining years of your life. Trading is risky and it doesn't guarantee regular flow of money every single day. So it's better not to depend on that. The benefit of crypto market is that, it is open for 24 hours a day. So you will have time when you logout from your office desk. Utilise that time to trade and make additional profit. But never leave a job and depend on trading unless you have a huge savings. It will help you to retire early in life.

Definitely not. There's a reason why there are full-time jobs and part-time jobs, and I don't think trading counts as a full-time one. It can probably count as one, but only at a certain amount of money, I'd say. Depends on how (and where) you live, but it's money that can generate enough daily profit to let you live as a middle-income earner I'd suppose. Anything below that, I just consider it as a bonus from time to time that I use to invest again.

Pretty sure you already know that though since you've already realized trading doesn't provide a stable source of income. It's either what I said really, or you trading and profiting so much money in one (or a couple) of trades. Money more than enough to live your entire life without worries but that's on rare instances really.

I'm not a trader, but this is what I observed as well during the bull run in 2017, at least I remember back then reading threads in the altcoin boards about some people who says that they quit their job and focus on trading itself. However, when we go into a bull run in 2018, I don't know if this people have keep the same energy in trading and we don't know if they are making the money that they can cover their bills or even put food in the table for their family.

So my advise would be not to quit until such time that you have save enough, or have at least some money that you need to have in order to survived in the next 6 months. Again, it's the question on what will be for you when the bear market comes? Maybe that time, it's going to be very hard to trade and make money as usually that is the time wherein the market is going to bleed and it might be bad for you.

I created a similar topic somewhere else where I asked "what will be the first thing a trader will do if they start making profit from trading. " Is it to quit their job first, retire their parents, get married first, or have another investment first. To answer your question, first we know that trading is not a low risk kind of investment, which means they could be severe losses and profit can also be made. As for me, the only time I will quite my day job is if I am certainly and evidently making $500 to $1k from the market everyday.  Also, if my success rate has surpass my losses,  I can consider taking such step.

I can make profit in trading for 2 weeks and later lose again. That is trading. The only reason I will quit my job and focus on trading is when I have traded for a year and more and I have no loss but huge profit. If I trade again for another months and I make huge profits, I can quit work for trading. But it remains one other reason that I will quit job for trading which is having business established already with the help of trading profit. If I do not have a guarantee business, I will not quit my job.
Good! This is one thing i keep telling people that before you quit your job and office work to other business they should have a reliable income or work that is generating money for them before leaving it for something that is so unsure about the outcome. Of course as a trader we should look for another business that would keep generating income for us before finally quitting the current job that is generating income for us, no matter how much they seems to have be making in trading, they should have other source because once someone starts trading and began to make profits in trading they would want to double their capital forgotten that same way their risk would increased as well. Therefore, they can lose everything they have accumulated from trading over the years in just one day or thereabout, that is why it's good to have multiple stream income.

From what I experienced and my friends experiences about the reasons they decided to quit their main jobs and focus on trading because they found an alternative freedom in earning income. They realize that trading is not always certain to gen erate profits every week or every month, maybe you have experienced where you find 2 choices and one of them gives you freedom, peace of mind in terms of time. In the office everything is arranged starting from when to come in, when to go home, even dressing has been arranged in such a way. As if the freedom we have is trapped, while in trading whenever, wherever you can do it as you wish.

A quick overview:

Option 1: Quit your job and focus on trading. In few weeks or months, you encounter a significant loss and have no back up. Go back to the street and start all over again from square one looking for money to re-establish yourself.

Option 2: Maintain your job alongside trading. After some weeks or months, you experience a heavy loss but lucky you have your job as your back up to help you cover up and also generate funds to start over your trading again. No one knows about your loss because your job cover you secretly.

It's as simple as these two options and the decision to choose is absolutely yours. It's not ideal to forsake your primary source of income for secondary sources no matter how profitable you think it is. Most secondary sources are not reliable and can crash at any time. As far as your job is not too bad and not stopping you from trading, you shouldn't consider quiting.

I will not quit my office work when I starts making profits from trading because I consider that my profit from trading can be my other source of income. That will gives me more money so I can use it for my investment or saving that money. Earning from trading will not be easy because we must have a good skills in analyzing the market. So we don't have to quit from our office work because we can use that income to fills our daily needs.

Besides that, we can not always make a profit from trading as the market will still moves to any direction. Although some people can make a profit from trading daily, that will not easy for us so we must think twice if we want to quit our office work.

Well it's nothing much about the subject matter, which I would have to also hear from your parts to know.
Do you quit your office work when you starts making profits from your trading.

I want to know, the reason why I am putting this up here is because as we already aware that trading doesn't guaranteed a regular profits, or we can't be sure of how much would make either every week or months. Does it mean we should stop our office because a trade gives us x amounts today and we think we would still have that chance tomorrow?

Totally depends on SUSTAINABILITY!

If it do comes into a time that i do able to make some sustainable trading profits then i might say that its really that considered out to be the moment or time that i will be quitting up my job and will really be doing full time specially if the amount that you are making is really that much bigger on what you are making or getting from your day job. It will really be just that depending on you because there will really be those individuals who will really that still continue on what they do currently have now despite of being profitable with trading. We do know that enhancing trading skills and becomes professional or sustainable isnt something that will really be so hard and it takes time.

This will be basing up on how you will be able to sustain or last up on the time or moment that you do make trades. Having a work+trading session is never been easy because you will be needing up that kind of time management because on the moment that you do have a work then its really that hard for you to manage up both things and and this is why it will be taking a while for you to enhance your trading skills and be able to achieve such kind of situation on which not all will really be having that kind of achievement in life in terms of going full time with trading and being profitable.

If you are already making some profits from your trading, the only condition that should make you quit and take that big leap of faith is if you are working in a toxic environment where your boss, supervivors, and colleages are terrible people. If your mental health has been hanging on for dear life because of your job then quit.

You can figure the fear of the unknown part out later.

If the toxic situition is not your reality then do not quit. Stay back working and build more capital, get more experience and have if I were you, I would have a fiancial target that when I achieve, I will take profit and quit my job without a second thought.

Quitting your steady source of income to embrace something that you can't predict is somewhat of a gamble with high risk for your financial future.

How can one quit your office work to trade cryptocurrency, even though trading can give you profits that can surpass your entire monthly salary in a day profits, at the same time in trading, you can lose all that you make or open a position that will place you a waiting stage for a very long time, this is the many challenges that come from cryptocurrency trading which make it not favorable as a full-time job.

No, and I don't have plans. Maybe because I have seen that there's no guarantees in trading because even if you very sure already of the outcome of your trades but once the market instantly change its condition, obviously your supposed to be profits have vanish as well. You don't hold the final outcome of your trades most of the time, so you have to be cautious when trading, and won't easily quit your job for the sake of earning bigger profits in trading.

You can't quit from your office work while you are trading unless if you are a full-time trader and you want to monitor the price.
Trading is not a stable job; there are times that you would lose and there are times that you can gain so much profit.
If you end up becoming a full-time trader, then you should be consistent, and it needs a huge capital to be able to gain a good profit on every single spike. Even a small percentage should give you a huge gain because of the large capital. Maybe if you can make a profit on every single spike and you do so consistently, there's no problem to quit your job. Do not forget about risk management; it can help you reduce or cut your losses.

Quitting our own job for the sake of trading is a very risky decision. You could have both lose in the end and make you a hopeless person. My suggestion is, quit only when you are already making massive amount in trading, wherein you have saved already a lot enough that you can live for 3-5 years even without working on your job.

I have never been able to make a profit from trading continuously, but when I took a profit once or twice from the trading platform, a different feeling worked in my mind. At that time, I felt that I had become a very experienced person in the trading platform, I would be able to make money continue from it, but when I took a trade again and faced a loss, I felt very depressed again. But to be honest, when I took a profit from trading, a kind of good feeling worked in me, which resulted in a reluctance to do other things. Although I do not work in any government job or company, I still felt reluctant to do my own work when I made a profit from trading. However, this may not be the case for others.

Trading is much sweeter and easier when you have some side income to cover your other expenses. In this case, you don't get into pressure to make some quick profit in order to cover urgent bills, which could easily lead to bad decision-making due to emotions.

So if you are trading, do not quit that job until you have some good amount that can push you throughout your life. I have seen some folks make life changing figures in a few trades. I guess those are the kinds of people who can quit their jobs and start new lives all together.

It's madness to quit your job that pays you regular within the agreed timeframe by contract for trading that has no specific pay day neither guarantee that you can excel with it  and even if you're excelling in trading it doesn't still make sense on quiting your job. What happens to the call on multiple streams of income ?  Moreover, having a job won't restrict me from having to trade because trading doesn't take all of our day. You just have to set your TP & SL after opening your trade and get back to doing other activities without having to stress out all day.

Underestimate- nothing
I can make profit in trading for 2 weeks and later lose again. That is trading. The only reason I will quit my job and focus on traps f is when I have traded for a year and more and I have no loss but huge profit. If I trade again for another months and I make huge profits, I can quit work for trading. But it remain one other reason that I will quit job which is having business established already with the help of trading profit. If I do not have a guarantee business, I will not quit my job.

There are some decision that when it comes to trading it is not advisable amd just the way you said it you can not be making profit everyday amd I don't see how trading stops anyone from working and there is no way you can not balance the two and you have more time during weekends depends on how you plan your self but there people that all they do is trade and they don't have actually jobs and it's working for them and no matter how it is I am getting profit I still love doing what makes me happy  there is no way that you keep making constant profits and the best advice would have been quite when there is other investment attached that way the space for multiple sources ot income is already created.

Because I feel there is a season that you might not be getting it right and the only thing that might be sustainable moght not be other than your job or your business that is what those are for because life becomes hard when you don't have a source of income and this are part of the reasons we have to take this things very seriously because everyday profits is not assured and I see it as a side hustle why not we just focus on building our selfs and supporting everything with trading.
