i personally will never trust anybody else. maybe it is me being too paranoid but but i have always been this way. also things are not so black and white, trust or not trust at all. it is the matter of trusting degre.for example i will not trust anybody no matter how his reputation is with a large amount of money (like >3BTC) but for smaller amounts like 0.5BTC there is still room for trusting somebody who you can see his history and reputation.

Yes I still trust escrow providers (only few of them though and not because of late events, I never trusted all of them). Honestly, if you only follow every (maybe just most) move they take, you could identify those who are long trustworthier than the others in list than on occasions go out of their way and miss-use the power and trust they've earned.

I only used 1 escrow MZ and he disappeared in Aug-Sept 2015 after which I never used any escrow. I thought of using Sebastian and Master-p but Sebastian's account got hacked and all know what happened to Master-p. I wouldn't say all escrows are untrusted these days but I've sincerly lost interest and hope of using an escrow due to their shady behavior. I prefer accepting money from buyers who trust me and I've not had any issues till now. I don't mind if users don't want to send me first and don't trust me enough as they too have their own reasons like I have mine.

I'm not sure what's going on with escrows lately , It doesn't even make sense because sometimes the scammed amounts are nothing compared to what they was holding as escrows . (Master-p , Devthedev ... )
Which makes me think that those escrows scamming lately are either getting hacked (like really hacked (accounts, keybase(PGP) and all) or ... they are simply the same person who was planning to do this from the beginning (who knows right ? )

in devthedev case it was just a mistake not any scam, he bumped his old sale topic without know domain was already expired.

about escrow yes I do still trust few of them

The domain didn't renew automatically and was quickly snagged by the person who sold it to me upon expiration, I still am the owner of the source code.

In my case I will still trust those reputable escrows like monbux. I mean I only trade small amounts of btc so I don't think there is much risk just in case. For me it is best to use escrow instead of dealing with someone who doesn't even have a reputation so escrow still helps.

There will be always people who can be trusted not all are the bad guys. After some serious scam situations with escrow services. Think twice before you deal with someone and do some research about the person who offer escrows.

Yup, there are still a few out there that can be trusted. And i guess the community helping out in this is a key factor. Personal notes and experiences shared can help get rid off of these bad scammers.

if you don't trust escrows then don't do huge transactions unless you  are willing to do meet ups.
meet ups can sure be great particularly for legal stuff, you get to know someone who uses bitcoin and could be a start of great business partners.

devthedev faced an issue but I thibk he didn't scammed anyone.
As for your questions, yes I still trust some of them. For small amounts tho. It's much more safer at some point to always use an escrow rather deal with someone unreputable.

For me,Escrow = People you trust .In the worst case scenario if they scam ,the best you could do is blame yourself instead of blaming forum or the people trusted by the people that you don't have known or traded before with.

P.S. : I use Shorena and Mexeer-2 .

this "Unchi" guy claim that it's his website (with a valid proof) .
It has been established that unchi recently re-bought the domain(he was the one who had sold it along with the script) after it expired. So yeah, forgetfulness is an explanation. Anyway , the neg has been removed

Other then that , where you got the information's about "Master-P" running ponzi scheme using alts ? mind giving a link for those alts

Same here, I can blame myself for trusting my own opinions if it comes to that  Grin

Business on this forum is all about trust.

If you don't trust the partner you're doing business with, i guess there is still no choice other than using a forum escrow. Offcourse, this trust is never absolute. I'd never trust an escrow 100%, but the thing is that i'd trust somebody like Ognasty a lot more than a newbie or junior member i'm buying something from.

Can they run with your money? Sure they can, but the chance is smaller than when trusting somebody without their history.

Eh no, devthedev didn't scam anyone. He was most likely forgetful, the negative is there just for him to come and make a public explanation

Regarding master-p, the dude was already scamming lots by running ponzi scams with his alts. Anyway I follow the rule of "Don't trust anyone more than what his account is worth". It might've saved me , considering master-p wouldn't go for a small con with his huge trust rating, but I forgot to check he already had lots of other BTCs in escrow to make it "profitable" for him to scam

I know devthedev didn't scam , at least not 100% . It's just it doesn't make sense , I mean he posted that Topic in November then suddenly he bumped the topic and this "Unchi" guy claim that it's his website (with a valid proof) .
