I dont know if the smartest people on earth are also active here on bitcointalk but one thing is for sure, we have a lot of smart people here because working with blockchain technology is not easy and it takes a lot of experience. Would be interesting to see a thread were everyone on this forum will post his IQ, even though probably a lot of them would lie.

This is so true but there is a factor. This isn't a fun forum so that increases the quality of people who join here. Knowing about Bitcoin is not that easy so this is more than expected.

Bitcoin forum talk has definitely got some of the smartest people frequenting here. I am pretty sure that people of all kind come here to engage in their favourite subjects as this forum offers a great variety of them, and the best thing is that we all share a common interest - Bitcoin, its blockchain technology and crypto in general.

To the point that they didn't rely to traditional jobs for them to earn money and take advantage of the internet, I think that one make the people here smart. Also some of them are I think smart because of what you have mentioned, I have also read those statement on those forums. But some are I think are smarter for the reason that they didn't rely to unnecessary information and go to reliable websites that can make them more knowledgeable. Not that the smartest people on earth would be, but people who studied the information, and not bad at bitcoin. I believe that he is not limited to learning, and every time there is something new that you have not heard or know about.
