Do you think HDD mining for coins such as burst, filecoin, storj will become more profitable than
pure processing power driven ASIC mining?

I think they will at a certain point becasue they are actually providing a utility service which is more valuable
as a service intrinsically than pointless high difficulty hashwork.

What do you think?
Why would ASIC miners will switch to HDD mining? hdd isnt that good because it has less life span than our GPUs and i dont find any reason why would these new coins will impletement HDD minings over GPU mining where GPU has more hash rate than HDDs.

In love with Bitcoin!! 💓💕
ASIC mining will surely be phased out unless they drastically reduce the power consumption. Electricity companies are not ready to provide electricity to the miners and neither Govts. The truth is that ASIC mining does consume so much electricity, which could have been used somewhere else, like in factories, schools, hospitals and so on. Resources are limited and so is electricity in most countries.

HDD mining, staking, proof of brain, sharing CPU power for projects (Golem) are some mining principles which will become popular and profitable in the coming years.

I think the age of ASICs will be gone soon.
I know it sounds dramatic and some may call me crazy but hear me out.

There are technologies that actually have developed a type of mining that valuable intrincially.

ASICs do what they do and I appreciate that they provide security to the network and validate transactions.

However, mining for coins suchs as Juan Benet's filecoin or decenternet's spice actually provides a utility service on top of doing everything BTC is doing.
Economic fundamentals always catches up with the hype and eventually, people will pay more for mining that provides more value.
We already know that a huge amount of people are waiting for filecoin mining. They know it is profitable.
We already know that a huge amount of South Koreans waiting for spice mining and they know it will be profitable and even more approcheable than ASICs.

I mean if you look at the people's greed waiting for these 2 in their community forums, you will know this ain't no joke.

What do you say guys

ASIC mining if more profitable than HDD mining , the truth that asic mining is the main stream proves it.
