It is really hard to tell. People with this have a disease tht symtomps are asymptomatic or in other words not noticeable. We may never know who are and who are not.

No I don't think they are increasing, percentage always stays the same. Just because priest touching young boys was not covered on TV 200 years ago doesn't mean it wasn't happening.

Unfortunately, yes, their number is clearly not decreasing. And it's just awful! After all, we must somehow protect our children from such people. We need to fight them!
The increase in the number of this category of "perverts" is connected, in my opinion, with the increase in the number of mentally ill people.

I think paedophilia is on the rise, especially in developed countries. In my country, an undercover journalistic investigation uncovered stories and methods of how some paedophiles entice their victims. Thank goodness for that report as now stricter laws have been passed to protect children against such predators. Hopefully this will help decrease the number of paedophiles.

But in countries such as the United States and India, it can get you life without parole. I guess the age of consent in Philippines is even lower (at 12 years), but I am not very sure about it.

But pedophiles have existed since time immemorial ( at least since the foundation of the Roman Catholic church). That said, I would claim that pedophilia is tolerated more nowadays. Pedophilia is a menace everywhere. But it is more common in restrictive countries, where sexual maniacs are not allowed to vent out their lust. For example in countries such as Pakistan, prostitution is banned. So the single men sometimes do sexual acts with each other, or with donkeys or goats. Children are easy to lure, so they also become another target.

Actually, that is a weird question all of a sudden but still, makes a sense for the current cases occurring these days. I cant probably tell that number of such people would increase or not but quite recently more of such cases are popping out these days. Many murder cases are also committed by pedophiles, because their identity and their behavior do not want to be known by the general public.

All problems of sexual perversion are due to mental trauma and no one wants to treat them, because these studies are allocated very little time and money, and some perversions generally take as the norm.
Every country has its own dark secrets and this case is one of them. I have heard this case for several years, a child being raped, held hostage and so on so forth. Its kind of sickening though, how humans can do such a thing. I wish their sentence would be greater of being imprisoned so that they'll learn.

When you say they are pedophiles who murder kids, do you mean that they raped the kids before killing them? because you may be confusing the terms. In any case, I think that pedophilia is increasing in a weird way, because young girls are getting better at make uo and they dress better. So pedophile hide behind that and it's their excuse to annoy girls just saying "Oh I did what I did just because I thought she was older" and stuff like that.

There probably isn't a significant increase just more attention to it which makes it easier to notice it. Take the Child refugee's in Australia I believe 40's/50's.. lot's of reports coming out a decade earlier or so about child molestation and abuse but it's been over 50 years. It's just easier for media to report stuff like this.
I hear about train crashes in the USA and honestly I think to myself why I need to know about this but it's an example. 30-40 years ago maybe even 25 years ago I would never have heard such things.
