Simple question. Do you think regulation is a necessary requirement? It is fundamentally adverse to the idea of virtual currencies in the first place (free use of money, without any governmental oversight and supervision) but some may think this may hinder its use in money laundering, illegal markets, etc. So what is your opinion on this?

Necessary or not, one thing is clear, regulation it's unavoidable. Since crypto interacts with the real world and it's adopted by people it is going to be under a regulatory framework. I think it will be positive because regulation means recognition.

A proper regulation on cryptocurrency really is a must since there are a lot of abusers using it to hide their wealth, promising unbelievable RIO during ICO and to scam other investors who are not knowledgeable enough how cryptocurrency works. It is for everyone's benefit because without proper regulation, cryptocurrency will not move forward and may continue to be manipulated by those big time players in the market. Cryptocurrency is still immature and those shit coins that do not have enough documents should be eliminated.

We need regulation or filtering to protect us from scammers and various projects that are created to deceive. That's why we have to sacrifice something for the sake of such measures, maybe the tax will be introduced.

Do you think regulation is a necessary requirement?
Yes it is needed and necessary as it will remove the doubts of the citizens that are not trusting crypto's. If the government will step in and they will start regulating cryptocurrencies then it will be beneficial not only to the users but to the government as well.
Regulation = tax
Regulation = trust

This type of thinking can't be removed but due to the regulation, actions will be implemented.

Rules or Regulations it is a big big must to have for the world or a country and here in the crypto world. As others dictate rules is a must for madness and war shall not happend in the crypto world e-money and cryptocurrencies. Think of it rules are needed for limitations are needed for a person or a community to work and succed.

Inrelation to madness here are my possible scenario the might happen if we have a world(and in the crypto world) with no rules:

1. Hacking can happen
2. People might get more than the regular that is enough.
3. Error in machince and mobile applications that is related to bitcoin or crypto.

The regulation of crypto is for our own safety, so I take it positively.. Everything that involves finance must be regulated in order for us to be safe from any modus or crimes. As long as they didnt ban crypto. regulation is accepted.

it is hard to say in my opinion.

on one hand we have all these cryptocurrencies that are being created that most of them are scamming specially these tokens (ICOs) that keep on coming out like weeds. and also we have all these businesses such as exchanges which are also scamming their users even if they are the #1 exchange in the whole world....
.... regulations can prevent (or at least make nearly impossible) all of these. so it can be a very good and  a necessary thing.

on the other hand we are saying a cryptocurrency (eg bitcoin) is a decentralized censorship resistance currency that anybody can use and regulations can be restrictive in this case and that may be harmful.
also not all regulations are good. there are times when the government sets some stupid regulations in motion which are in fact restrictive more than anything else (like unreasonable taxes or rules they have to follow) and that  can damage the businesses.

Well if someday you want to buy anything anytime with bitcoin or any other crypto currency then some kind of regulations a must otherwise it just opens up so many theft opportunities.
For now I believe ICOs are the ones that have to be regulated as soon as possible because they are full of scams and shit coins.
