I only invest in altcoins I know very well, such as Ethereum, because I understand its use and sales channels! I usually don't invest in unfamiliar altcoins!

In my opinion, the altcoin is only divided into two kinds!
1. Old altcoins, most of which have rankings, they are not easy to collapse, the value is zero, so when the market falls, they are more suitable as a safe haven!
2. New altcoins, they just entered the market or trading platform, such altcoins are easy to appear independent prices, but they are also very easy for us to lose all wealth overnight!

in my opinion not all altcoins are worth investing. many altcoins don't have the potential to rise. so before buying an altcoin it's better to see all the project developments.

But when it comes to liquidity, the top 10 alts seem to have pretty decent liquidity. Or at least the exchanges give us such numbers. For example, the 24 hour volume of XRP on binance is 5,400 BTC, which is not bad. The real question is to what extent this is a real number and not artificially engineered liquidity. The exchanges have been shown to do this shady practice to improve their perceived importance and position.

Something I admire about recent ICO models is that they are more of a survival of the fittest, since we've dropped from ATH, investors and early backers are backed to a wall, and would only result to DD; thereby investing in only projects that matter. But amidst this structure, HiNounou has refused incentive based token sale event and refuses early adoption bonuses. It's really a good thing to help democratize the token sale, and no single investor will be able to hoard so much tokens only to dump upon listing. More projects should consider removing bonuses if they must sustain their projects long-term.

I think that long term investing in alts is a very risky strategy, with the large majority destined for failure, but if you're savvy enough to pick out only the best alts then the potential returns will be mindblowing. I do see altcoin as an investment opportunity but not for the new projects because we have yet to see if the team would be able to carry out what they have promise in their whitepapers while I may be willing to invest in the coins that have been existing for years because we can already see their developments and their project may already be complete and we can see the demand then if the people would use it for its actual use case or just for speculation purposes.
However, there are still new projects that are worth looking at and you will be lucky if you would be able to purchase it during ICO when the price is still cheap. Of course, you still have the option to purchase it when it is already listed in exchanges.

So all these years, you only invested in Bitcoin? I cannot blame you if that's what you think since a lot of these altcoins are really unstable in terms of price and majority fluctuates base on bitcoin's price. There are still established altcoins out there that is worth investing though .
Most are very low at this time and to me that is a great chance to get more and invest but not just any how token , I will advice to invest in more of old coin and token which has reputation and not this new ones that are just coming out as many will not make it up again , and now it the best time for long term investment.

There are some coins and tokens that can be very good investments.But like a lot of things you have to be careful.There are a lot of scams out there.And they are hard to pinpoint.They look like a good investment, solid team, solid vision.In a second gone.If there are thousands of something this volatile, and more are coming, I would stick to the proven ones.

If you want to invest, make sure you look at the background of the project, not all of the altcoins you have future prices, even though the coins have been registered as exchanges, you can do research and join the telegram group from the project, what benefits they get from their project.

Not all altcoins wohld be worth investing because altcoins are mostly unstable and only some good for long term holding. Now that we are on bearish market and seeing how many altcoin tokens are becoming deadcoins, it simply proves that there are only some alts which are good to invest particularly those which would survive the negative market behavior at this moment. we should further wait and see which would be able to withstand the struggles.
