you can use Trezor Model T or Ledger Nano X...
About staking, it is not included in the OP post, but Ledger Nano X and S can be used to stake. If Trezor Model T can be used to stake, then Trezor One can also be used, so far the coin to stake is support. And the OP is asking if Trezor One can later support Cardano, he did not mention anything about staking.

Also, Ledger Nano S support Cardano. But I will still prefer Trezor Model T because it is completely open source wallet. But using passphrase for trezor is highly recommended.

You might want to check out this thread too: https://www.reddit.com/r/TREZOR/comments/ktxkj9/trezor_one_with_cardano_ada/. Some people recommend using ada lite wallet and try it with your trezor one (it's 4 months old tho). If that doesn't work, then using other wallets is probably your only alternative.

you can use Trezor Model T or Ledger Nano X they are works perfectly with Daedalus and Yoroi wallet and I am using one and you can also stake your ADA safely.
Therefore, unless there is an increase in its price and the number of people who are asking Trezor One to add it, it is better to buy the two above.
The profits that come from staking will make it to buy them.

You can use this Trezor official link about coins supported by their hardware wallets to check the cryptocurrencies supported by Terzor, you will noticed something, you will noticed that the coins that will likely be supported by Trezor that not yet supported are list as 'soon', also both Trezor Model T and Trezor Model One are not yet supporting the coins, these are new cryptocurrencies that are created not long ago. Cardano has been created since 2017, model T is already supporting it, which most likely model one will not support it. The best you can do is to contact Trezor customer care and ask the question or buy Trezor Model T that supports more cryptocurrencies.

Super lame!
I bought this a few months back.
Since then I've bought a good amount of Cardano..
But my Trezor One doesn't accept those coins.
Didn't know this.
Now my coins are sitting in the Coinbase wallet.
Why wouldn't they do an update so that it can be accepted?
Seems weird.
