Depends on how old the kids are really, once I turned 16 I had to help run the house, or pay towards room and board.

Doesn't really seem harsh at all to me.

I do not think it is true.   Except by accident like that he might really be a guy.  The whole story is very constructed.  Plus, I don't believe that someone smart enough to mine bitcoins since 2010 would be dumb enough to write such silliness.  "I have oh so much money and discipline and good ideas, please Internet tell me what to do with it all"

Yeah, the idea of an "in-house" currency that the kids earn with works around the house in exchange for boarding and food is pretty though.

The farthest a piece of property can be with out being literally in the ocean. There are many bedrooms, bathrooms, and space to establish offices of sorts.
