There are many merchants - both online and offline - accept Bitcoin as a form of payment. Includes huge online retailers like Overstock and Newegg to shops, bars and small local restaurants. Bitcoin can be used to pay for hotel costs, flights, jewelry, applications, computer parts and even a college degree.
Other digital currencies like Litecoin, Ripple, Ethereum and others have not yet been widely accepted. Things are changing for the better, Apple has authorized at least 10 different types of Cryptocurrency as a viable form of payment on the App Store.

you should not credit cards, but create cards that are connected to the wallet used in bitcoin transactions.
With the card in my opinion will make it easier for bitcoin users to transact in the real world than to use their gadget to transact using bitcoin

I don't think you can get a credit card with bitcoin or any crypto currency. I'm not using them because cryptocurrencies gain value faster than fiat, so i prefer to spend something stable, that won't be giving me any profit in the near future, and hold coins that do the opposite.

My opinion will make it easier for bitcoin users to transact in the real world than to use their gadget to transaction.

Current prototypes of crypto-cards are mostly prepaid, coming from different manufacturers. As the popularity of digital currencies grows, their features, such as transaction fees, processing time, and accessibility, are also improving.
The concept of a debit card for cryptos is relatively simple. These are plastic cards that look similar to standard credit or debit cards. Personally, i do not have much experience with this type of card, but in the future i'm planning to set up this option and thereby support the crypto-world.

Due to fact that cryptocurrencies gain value faster than fiat, I never thought to use such cards. Remember stories on Bitcoin and Pizza Smiley But After regulations end, probably cryptocurrencies will get wider use. Then we can think about use debit card etc. And There were and are too many card project on this issue. But I have never seen a successfull project.

There are very convenient to use if you want easy access to your money. But to me that defeat the ideas of keeping my coins for long term since I got tempted to use those cards when am I need.

But isn't it good to use them instead of just keeping?

I see cards as an intermediary solution, cards and ATMs are the interfaces people already know and may bring more users to crypto, but the ideal solution would be to replace them and avoid those companies fees.

In my opinion, crypto currencies are good as payment method only if you buy it and immediately use for some deal. Otherwise, you can't use most of crypro currencies effectively according to its volatility. As for me, these cards must include a converting option.

I havent used them but they are comfortable if you have no cash on hand.

But if the adoption isnt too wide in ones country, its convenience wont be experienced.

Exactly, I'm talking about such services.

Many people who trade bitcoin either as a payment method on their websites or when trading it on crypto exchanges, use a debit card to convert the earned or acquired cryptocurrency into cash. Before using your credit card to purchase cryptocurrency who mainly first convert it to bitcoin and then use these credit card. There are also options for multi-asset cards debit and prepaid as we shall see later. But I do not have any cryptocurrency card.

I used to have a cryptocurrency card but it wasn't associated with credits or anything. It was just a pocket card to show my balance and the current prices and rates of different crypto currencies and few fiat money like Dollar, Euro etc. I think it's yet to be introduced that you can actually lend BTC. Please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Honestly, you shouldn't use a debit card (fiat or crypto) when traveling the world. If your card is compromised, it is linked to your funds. Credit cards that do not charge foreign exchange fees are made for these trips. If you're going to use a card that acts like fiat, at least get the protection.

What kind of protection do you mean?

I think if we use such a card it is very good, and it is very useful for us all, and I myself am very happy to use the card because it can help for future success.
The problem is not in the use because we all know this is going to break barrier between the traditional banking and the cryptobank but the problem lies on the providers of this card. they are not interested in given out cards to unregulated cryptobank because of the issue of scam and money laundery which many have said cryptocurrency promote. when you listen to many peoples comment here on the thread you will realized nobody have said it emphatically that they are making use of the card despite the fact many ICO goal are centered around debit card provision. AMON, MONACO, kurecoin and many other ICO are still targeting this project

Your point is very good indeed. It's true that the main difficulty such projects face is the actual integration with banking processors and providers like Visa/MC or any local one, because it's the matter of policy and legislation, probably

Guys, what's your view on cryptocurrency cards (like credit cards, I mean)? Is it convenient or useless? If someone has an experience of using them, would be glad if you share!

Hi there. I only recently started using one of the crypto debit cards called Wirex. I was looking for a way to fund my crypto investments via paypal (add crypto card to paypal and send funds to it). Wirex has very nice ios app, that has btc and ltc wallets. You can request cards (with free delivery) and currency account will be added to your app. So you get free card delivery and monthly account costs are for USD account $1.50 and for EUR account €1.20 (i think that it is same price).

But am thinking now, that it is good option to exit from my crypto positions. Just send funds to internal btc or ltc wallet and exchange for your local currency. In my case euro purchases within europe are free of charge and atm withdrawal fee is €2.25 (one downside is, max daily withdrawal amount is €250, which is not great 🤔).

Still have to test it out though, check all te fee and compare crypto exchange rates with exchanges etc. At the moment I am in stae of waiting for my card, after creating and authorizing my account. Will let you know ones my test is finished. Good luck with your crypto card exploration 👍

Thank you for sharing your experience. Tell me, is it possible to use this Wired card for doing offline purchases? I mean can stores accept it like simple Visa or Master Card? Or is it simply a way to convert crypto to fiat?

What a nice question, using cryptocurrency card is very easy and convenient but just that you will be charged for using the card too.

You mean the commission, right? Well, traditional bank cards also charge for some transactions

So, as far as I got it, your card for only for online purchase? No offline shops?

Crypto cards can be a great way for payment and easy shopping or replacing anything that is done by using currency now a days but the fact being cryptos having such a volatile rate its use can get limited , also decentralization of bitcoin is an issue too and yeah its banned in my country too. I don’t really see any future for crypto cards in the near future.

you should not credit cards, but create cards that are connected to the wallet used in bitcoin transactions.
With the card in my opinion will make it easier for bitcoin users to transact in the real world than to use their gadget to transact using bitcoin
Obviously the transaction between bitcoin users will be much convenient and hassle free with cards being introduced and maintained but what about the security at the end its a form of money too, if the card gets stolen who will block it , there must be an organisation who controls the use of the card and also keeps a check on illegal or fishy transactions.

I find it very useful with cryptocurrency cards, Convenience paying for every purchase anywhere has led to the mass growth of people using credit / debit cards and merchants who accept cards. The advantage of a clear card: no need to go to the bank to withdraw money, no need to worry about carrying large sums of money, and in case if your card is stolen, the only thing you should do is to contact your bank and block your card for prevent illicit transactions.
No doubts that the card payment mode has brought a revolution in the present days with no real need of carrying huge amounts in form of physical cash also that card is safe even if its stolen you can block it , but the fact being a crypto card its fluctuating rates itself can make you poor from a rich in matter of days , If the rates of bitcoin suddenly touches a low peak then you cant even blame anyone for your loss.

Completely agree on this point. the issue of volatility is, probably, the main reason why merchants are so sceptic about accepting crypto.if it's converted immediately into fiat - this is another thing.

Those crypto cards basically defeats the whole purpose of using cryptocurrency.  The shop ends up getting fiat when you spend crypto.  If we want real mainstream adoption we need to get more sellers to actually accept bitcoin and not just a service that converts bitcoins into usd.

I see your point of view. But witnessing pretty high volatility of crypto, it's no surprise that merchants are not that willing to accept it. And of course, legal issues have much weight here

This kind of card (credit or debit) can be very useful nowadays for people who deal with Crypto-Currency on their daily lives, like traders, gamblers and even merchants. I say useful because people can convert Crypto-Currency into fiat instantly, paying for any kind of service and goods they need. However, it doesn't follow totally the Crypto-Currency's purpose, that is to skip all the kinds of middle-men in a negociation...

To be honest, I haven't really used any direct credit card that takes money from my crypto funds but I have been using Uquid for more than a year but you have to convert your Crypto funds into the fiat currency before topping up the credit card. I have not come across any service that allows me to spend funds directly from my balance in cryptocurrency.

It's great tool in order to increase transaction mobility around the world.
I've local project named Pundi, they are using card if you want to purchase good which it's a great tool , IMO

Those crypto cards basically defeats the whole purpose of using cryptocurrency.  The shop ends up getting fiat when you spend crypto.  If we want real mainstream adoption we need to get more sellers to actually accept bitcoin and not just a service that converts bitcoins into usd.

If people's demand is greater, I think it's not a problem for having bitcoin credit card

Guys, what's your view on cryptocurrency cards (like credit cards, I mean)? Is it convenient or useless? If someone has an experience of using them, would be glad if you share!

As a bounty hunter, there are many ICO projects that provide also a crypto currency cards and as far as I know most of them are have a successfully project. But for now I really not have experienced to used crypto currency cards.

your definition of "successful" is flawed which is why you think they are successful.
success doesn't mean raising a lot of money and having a big hyped up market where people trade the useless token they created. success means if they truly create a useful product that people actually use in the real world and most importantly it means if they actually have a company and it survives in the long run.

I want to have experience in using cryptocurrencies cards wow it sounds a great progress of bitcoin a cards can access anywhere we want to go a socially  oriented worldwide or we can make exchange in a lower service fees.

When my country supports cryptocurrency then I want to use it because cryptocurrency card is very useful for everyone.

Right. unfortunately currently it's hard to use such crypto cards due to restrictions and regulations. Hopefully, it might change in the future.

I don't think you can get a credit card with bitcoin or any crypto currency. But debit cards do exist. Do keep in mind that debit card and credit cards are two different things. Debit cards are more like prepaid cards. I did use a bitcoin debit card before from advcash. Wasn't that bad. But most of the cards have been taken down since VISA started to cut down ties with companies that issued debit cards to users without any regulations.

Sorry, yes! sure, understand the difference.
I mean these cards might be really convenient when it comes to using crypto in daily lives, like shopping.

i personally don't use them, and suggest you to don't use them, simply because they take a lot of money from you with high fees. most of the times , they have a fixed fees like 2-3$ and a % fees around 3% when you take money out from ATM. Are they serious? 3% every time that i want my money in cash? No thanks, i prefear to change them in an exchange that support FIAT and then send them into my credit card/bank. Cost zero.

What a nice question, using cryptocurrency card is very easy and convenient but just that you will be charged for using the card too.

Ask yourself this question, Do you want us to make the same mistakes with Bitcoin as we made with the current financial system? Do we want debt to continue and even increase in the coming years? We are already sucked into a financial death spiral with the current funding mechanisms to feed our insatiable need for "things" that we do not need to survive.

I hope Bitcoin can help to break those debt chains, not strengthen it.  Angry

I do not use cryptocurreny cards, because in my country have not allowed that. but maybe it will be time if we also have to use cryptocurrency card, because I think it will help us a lot. so it's like a regular credit card that we can use anywhere just by swiping the card.

Actually no crypto currency card was made until now. All credit card and any card that we use today is useful to us of course, but not totally easiest way  in terms of transaction unlike bitcoin is very easy to transact and the most important here is you only or me only can transact directly to respective client.

No, there is no cryptocurrency cards that circulates in my country right now. In fact, I always used remittance center and cashless cards in order to withdraw my money in cryptocurrency. But if I know that there is an existence of crypto cards to my country, I will use it. By the way, I followed ICOs that creates crypto cards but until now, I do not find an ICO that succeed because most of the projects related to cards are scam.

I too haven't used them yet but will definitely soon because it will be the most convenient way to use cryptocurrencies for common transactions ina easy way and one of the best method to bridge the gap between real world and the cryptocurrency world. but the thing is how far it will be usable for common transactions because most government's has a negative understanding about cryptocurrencies. So it will take more time to expand around the world.

you should not credit cards, but create cards that are connected to the wallet used in bitcoin transactions.
With the card in my opinion will make it easier for bitcoin users to transact in the real world than to use their gadget to transact using bitcoin

I have no experience of having a crypto card, because in my country the crypto legalization is not clear, or has no legality from the government.

but, I think that crypto cards have a purpose to make transactions easier for every consumer, then used to shop. such as DASH as a substitute for PayPal, many traders are receiving DASH, and the transaction is also faster.

you can buy DASH in some countries that legalize crypto, such as in Argentina, venezuela and others. then you save it on DASH wallet with card shape, and can be used to shop at any merchant receiving DASH.

I think it would be useless. Because banks have been associated with Crypto companies to use Blockchain technology and expand their market share. So the coins were getting profitable from the bank, so Crypto cards would not have too many uses.

are these bitcoin cards (like debit card) convenient? yes of course.
am i using them? not at all.

i do believe that they are bringing a certain centralization with themselves which i do not like. and i don't see the point in using them either. bitcoin is created so that you can use it as a currency without needing any kind of third parties in the middle. if we start using these cards then we are using these third parties. and they control our money and can put restrictions on them.
besides why would i use a bitcoin debit card when i have fiat debit card?

I haven't heard of something like this being available in my country but I would totally use it. If a lot of people were to use bitcoin cards worldwide it would raise a lot of great awareness for us and many people would be really curious about it  Grin not to mention the convenience would be a welcome step forward in terms of advancing the way crypto works

I'm not using them because cryptocurrencies gain value faster than fiat, so i prefer to spend something stable, that won't be giving me any profit in the near future, and hold coins that do the opposite. I think that crypto cards are a decent idea while not all merchants are accepting cryptocurrency directly, but they shouldn't be seen as the target. They are only a temporary solution if you want to spend your coins, but since they are connected to payment processors that are instantly converting to fiat, it's not the economy that we are hoping for.

Card system for cryptocurrency is already available in other countries but in my country, there is no sign that it will be adopted or use soon due to that not many people do use or invest with cryptocurrency. I really like the idea of having a credit card like for cryptocurrency but this kinda removes to why it is called cryptocurrency which is mostly used online and not like a bank. It is an investment which people earn from like a currency but no physical features. If ever cards for bitcoin will be released I'm not sure if I'm going to use it or not.

I am not sure anyone have down the review about the Bitcoin debit cards usage or best cards list. I really worry that fees is big problem on maintenance charges mate.
If you want to use the card you can go with bitpay, spectrocoin and advcash. These cards brand will be help for you.

There are many projects on the use of cryptocurrency cards, however, and many of them have been successful. However, until now, I have not experienced it yet. The law of my country does not allow it to exist.
