Well I'll have a problem. I've got a Blue Yeti, and it is supposed to be cardioid, but it still picks up ambient sounds. If this takes off, then I'll have to use a rifle microphone.

It will be a subset of the Fit to Talk member group. And if anybody abuses it, they will just be chucked off.

One way it could be used is for you and I to be online with a Spanish speaking member. He can select a thread on Bitcoin Talk where he wants to make a reply. He can start a post on FtT, and we can discuss this over the voice server, and edit the post in real time. When we all agree that is is a worthwhile post, then he can copy it onto the BT board.

Ummm I kinda like it, for it can be like a dictation, so we non-natives will learn a lot about listening. My spoken English is pathetic, though. I don`t have now a microphone, my lap`s one is dead (I was trying a couple of days ago of having a Skype conversation and it was impossible), but it sounds really nice. To me, at least, it will be really useful to practice my listening/speaking skills, I do sound like a drunk robot while trying to speak English.

Well, this is a good idea using VPS and Teamspeak to improve your English it can also help when it comes to engaging conversation with others and very accessible and also it is accessible to almost all platforms , but when it comes to spelling and grammar errors they could download some useful extensions to their browsers like Grammarly, well it truly helps because it corrects some errors like capitalization, spelling, proper punctuations and even grammar in real time when you are typing and the extension is safe and totally free.

Some of the members of the Fit to Talk English project seem to be worried that their spelling is not good enough to post. Well first let me say that that shouldn't stop you. We are there to help you, and if you don't post, then we can't help. Google is also another great way to check your spelling. and by looking at the results, you can check if you are using the correct word as well.

But what has all that got to do with voice converations? I'm considering paying for a VPS and Teamspeak licence so that you can take part in group discussions to improve your English. You can read about Teamspeak here -

You would need headphones and a microphone, and you would need to install the Teamspeak client. Just think of the advantages of being able to discuss your post on a Bitcoin Talk board as you are making it. What a great way to improve your post quality, if you take advantage of the free service.
This move to get the newbies to get involved in the discussions with the ease and comfort for taking away the fears and worries of not getting the right spelling of the words and also the correct way of using grammar would be so good and many would take it as an advantage. Imagine that you do not need to encode all the things you want to discuss you will just sit and use your microphone to record your statements and arguments. Anyway i know how the poster of the threads wants to have a good and healthier discussion here in the forum just like i remember that when i was a newbie i was able to receive merit from him. I wish i could receive some merits it has been a while.

I would use my own paid VPS hosting, and not a part of any of the other services.

I find it can be a good idea, but how are you going to implement that? Meaning: are you going to invite your team some random people or the system of engaging is going to be like in the FTT project?
Besides, can we implement that on FTT?? I think it can be easier for you since you have already "filter" the possible trolls or scammers. Now, it can be quite difficult to manage a lot of people in a voice chat, isn`t it? Is it going to be a selected group?

💡 Websites, scripts for BTC web4crypto.xyz
As far as I know Discord (https://discordapp.com/) allows voice chat and is free, if you want to consider it.

Edit: It appears that Teamspeak offers encryption and own servers, while Discord is not end-to-end encrypted and centralized. Possibly justifies the cost.

This is a great idea especially if you are new or practicing english. The way people talk would dramatically increase and improve when they have someone to talk to, whether it’s english or some other language that a person is learning. It’s the practical way to be efficient in your time practicing. It would help a lot of members who cannot practice due to lack of peers not generally fluent in English.

As for the teamspeak, it’s a great way to brainstorm a certain topic and help out the members that needs help and practice to create quality posts. As long as you credit them also (if the contributors mind)
