I derive joy watching soccer aside bet, it’s just pleasing watching your team and the opponent play a tough game. I get excited at same time I feel tense like mixed feelings when placing a bet and losing the game. Although it’s not all about the bet but imagine your friend beating you just because the game never went as planned, it’s still fun because we get experience a level of excitement when watching soccer or other different sports.

I can't speak for everyone but I think it's psychological good if you bet on what you can afford to lose so you don't get carried away by too much emotion. If you bet on any game, your reaction should be normal and your interest the game should remain the same unless you bet on a huge amount that was going to hurt you.

Bet doesn't change my emotions during the match. If I bet or I don't bet, I react to how my teams played, I even move my body when there is some kind of action aspect like sliding to score the goal or heading to score the goal and many more. There was even a day that I nearly kicked my TV with my head when Victor Boniface scored brace for Bayern Leverkusen, I was in the mood as if it was me that has the game with me and that's how I react normally.

It does make the event I’m watching more exciting to have a friendly bet involved. Anything from who has to do the dishes to, well, anything you can think of. This is especially true if you don’t really care about the outcome of the event either way. It gives you a reason to want a team to win. If you have skin in the game, you’ll care more. Just how it is.

This is one of the forms of gambling that has been a way to make match watching very interesting. There are many times one just have to experience this kind of happiness being with friends while trying to bet with one another to make the match more interesting.
This is why watching ball in the public places are so captivating talking to random people especially opponents and supporters to create a remarkable experience with people around. The best place to have this kind of experience is in the club or bar especially when people are crowded.

If it's the team I cheer for, I don't need to bet on the match in order to feel the excitement and to shout the players' names when they are performing a promising play. Naturally I feel my heart beating, because it's the club I'm emotionally attached to since an early age. However, regards another teams I have a neutral stance towards, I don't feel the same, so a potential reward through a placed bet can boost my mood to develop an ephemeral connection to the team which is playing.

I get that point and it's true if the bet is to adds up for enjoyment then that's good while watching the game,  most of the time there's always differences between groups if people and to add additional enjoyment betting is another source of fun, loser will carry all the burden especially if you do have a bully friend until the last minutes that you are together you need to accept everything hahaha 😆 😂

What I feel when the heart is pounding is watching the match while betting a large amount then this match will be more tense with mixed situations, whereas enjoying the match without betting may not have any burden this is just a cheer for you because it is too cool.

So you are betting on a match so when you see your favorite team lose there will be a sense of annoyance even though I know this is just for entertainment.
So what is more thrilling is of course there is a bet in it.

When Watching matches together with a friend or friends that have different opinions about a particular match, bets on that match creates some kind of suspense and excitement. Everyone becomes committed and so invested in the outcome of the match and that is why there are no dull moments throughout the period the match is being played. The whole purpose is just for entertainment as there will be no room for anyone to have any feeling of regret when the match does not end in their favour. The interesting thing about Watching matches with friends is that the match will always end with fun and excitement no matter the outcome of the match. The fun will definitely compensate for all  bets lost.

It is quite engaging and fun if the two groups of friends know how to take a joke. In this setup, one group is always bound to lose while the other can celebrate on their glory all they like. Sometimes, people couldn't take a joke and would be hurt by the snide remarks of those who won the bet. It's fun if everybody just gets on with it and not try to be a jerk or something no matter the result of the bet.

It's also great to share your passion with someone you know closely, and enjoy every games available to you at that moment. You can talk to them freely about the sport that you both know and like albeit supporting different teams.

This is one of the numerous bad side of gambling anyways. It can bring about malice and misunderstanding between blossom friends when they are not favored by the outcome of the results. It is not longer a news that as humans, we all have our own personal interests regardless of how close we are with our friends, no one is usually truly happy with failure.

We also have friends that can carjole our efforts and ridicule it when we fail, such friends tend to gaslight situations that could cause a slight provocation between friends who had gambled. This is one of the disadvantages of engaging in betting instead of just watching your games.

Placing bets like this is just so entertaining, and interesting, that’s where most people really have fun, people that places bet like this are doing it basically for fun, and not because they want to make money from it, and people placing bets like this don’t really get addicted to gambling, so when am gambling, I will prefer to place bet with my friends like this, because it’s always more entertaining, and interesting.

Yeah I do enjoy games when I place bets on it, and my prediction is right, which I will say most people do enjoy, but even when my prediction is wrong, I don’t really feel bad because I don’t lose much. The only people that won’t enjoy their game when placing bets are the ones that gamble with so much amount of money, which their mind is not always at rest when the game is on, because they won’t want to lose.

When I was growing up watching football, we never knew what bets were. We just watched out of our passion for the sports and the team. Our excitement were more of innate and not driven by a bet. It was pure and unadulterated joy. And we enjoyed the game. I shed some hidden tears when the passion was so much and my team lost.

There are some people who don't like gambling and only alignments that they rely on to get happiness on their favorite team, they don't need to bet to get excitement at the match, as long as their favorite team is the winner and shows an extraordinary game it will give them happiness, not everyone likes to gamble on what they like like like watching football, the point of view and behavior of each human being on the same object must be different, you must realize that friend.

In my case, I always prefer to watch the games of teams that I'm a fan of, regardless of whether I bet on them or not. In some cases, I watch games involving teams that I bet on, but only when I see that the game will be very interesting. I don't watch games while drinking alcohol, because I hate alcohol. I haven't consumed alcohol since I was born. I prefer to watch the games while eating some things and drinking juice or tea. I'm very happy to watch the games alone and at home, drinking tea or juice and eating some things that I like. I find it annoying to watch the games in places where there are a lot of people drinking alcohol because from what I see, there are always fights in those places.

I will watch the match I really like or support as a fan. Unlike the match I bet on, I will not watch all the matches. But when you bet on the team you watch, there will be a feeling when you support it. Not only because we are part of the supporters of the competing team, but because we also place bets, of course there is hope and enthusiasm that drives us emotionally to win the bet. There will still be a feeling of more enthusiasm when you watch the match where you place a bet.

The answer is the most passionate and fun is to be able to watch football with friends and bet on each other's favorite teams, it adds to the fun and also the tension that is naturally obtained at such moments, and it becomes a rare moment if you already have your own family, because when you have a family it is quite difficult to meet with friends and watch football while betting with them.


Sometimes we don't need betting sites or casinos to bet, we use money directly and choose one of the teams in the match, so even friends who don't like betting in casinos can bet directly with other friends, but there are always friends who don't like gambling, whatever form it takes.

This is very correct. The most fun part of it is watching the game, and if your favourite team is winning, it even gives the watching another kind of vibe, especially when there are crowds of people, either friends or just normal people, that are watching the same match with you who are not in support of the same team with you. Watching a match without betting = doing a flat activity, i wonder about these people, how can they watch without betting, there is no excitement there. Just imagine when yesterday Endrick scored a goal in injury time without betting, it would be empty. From my statement, we should all know that i cannot be happy when watching without showing partiality.

Not all of our friends will really be that interested on making out some bets but if you are a gambler and a friend who do have that same interest then good for you

Watching soccer matches and bets with my friends actually i did that plenty especially when there were special events available such as world cup or Euro cup so almost every matches we were make a bet but basically we did that for fun and entertainment so that's why me and my friends not too serious and usually we bets only $2 or sometimes less than that amount but indeed i have to admitted that although we bets only using small amount of money but the excitement is different when we were watching the matches and bets on those teams because when i won my bets then i was very satisfied can beat my friend

Even if it's not a bet involved still my heart can go crazy if that match is important for the team for qualification or championship or something like that or else it would be just same as usual. There will be some extra eager to know whether my instinct about the game is right but that's usual way of seeing anything as per the human brain.

Friendly bet can end up disastrous too, let's say you bet $10 against your colleague or something and you won but they're saying it's just not real can make you temper and lose mind for a while.

Well for me I think it works better then other way round. So rather than saying a friendly bet makes watching soccer or other sports more exciting, I will say watching soccer or other sports makes a friendly bet more exciting. The reason is quite simple. If you check closely you will notice that people that love sports betting a lot are usually those that Also love sports a lot ,and most of the time these persons profit from sports betting more than their regular counterparts who aren't sports lovers.

People who watch sports find it fun and easy to place bets on them because they are usually more confident since they literally have a nice understanding of how good the teams are coupled with the potential they have. All these contribute to how they predict the outcome of different games.

Totally depends on where you would be happy at and same goes with your friend that whose with you on which we know that its not necessarily important that money should be involved but to spice things up then you would be coming up with that kind of idea on having those kind of bets. If your friend doesnt really like on having bets then there's nothing you can do but to play along and agrees with it, but if your friend which does have that kind of similar behavior on wanting to make things spice up a bit then betting into those games will definitely be likely that you will be placing something in between on which this isnt really that shocking i should say.

We cant be able to deny that having those monetary bets will really be having that kind of thrill or could be adding up some kind of excitement since you do know that you could win up something.

Every gamblers needs money, and it is because of money that majority of gamblers gambles this days, which is why when it comes to me, regarding which among these two makes my heart beats more, as I will say that it's either when my favorite team is playing and losing that I get emotional, and likewise if I placed a bet and game not going according to prediction that I usually gets emotional, but however, what makes the difference here is that I always try as much to gamble with what I can always afford to lose, which is why if either I lose or not, I only get emotional and not depressed.

It became a tradition for me and my neighbor to bet for one team. 2 years ago I bet for the Denver Nuggets to win the championship and our gamble was a set of drinks and some food of course on a weekend if our team choice loses the pick. I won that bet.
Last year was different though. I went for the Mavericks and he took the Celtics team. Same bets, foods, and drinks (alcohol) on weekends. We enjoyed the drinks while talking about how the game ended and it was fun. For me, it excites me more to watch games where bets are included.

I play bets, but I also enjoy games and can enjoy a game without betting on it. While learning to gamble I made sure to condition myself in that manner so that I will not be under the pressure to want to bet whenever there is a game. You are right that something will be different when we watch the match and bet and also we will monitor the match well but it will be different if we just enjoy the match without betting and for now of course it is very rare for someone to bet with their friends when watching the match because there are many other options to bet and it will also make us more serious in watching the match, especially the team we put on Betting has won of course this will be very encouraging, yes choosing to watch the match in order to be able to determine the team we will bet on will certainly be better but we can also see the history of the team's matches if we want to place a bet on a team.

I have a friend of mine who's into soccer betting; it's the same guy I had mentioned participating in fixed matches in third-world countries, and we'll occasionally mess around with the Greeks' Super League matches. On the one hand, if it's a risky Derby or a large bet, I'd be having mixed feelings of anxiety and thrill, especially if I'm not seeing the results I'm anticipating. TBH, I can't relate to what OP has shared since it's soccer and I'm not watching that sport, but I have an almost similar experience with basketball though.

As for my experience, there are no bets whatsoever. It's just we are excited to watch the whole Game 7 Finals game and we are on different sides. What's the atmosphere in our room while watching it? We are very noisy that our neighbors shouted at us. I mean if you're watching your favorite team playing in a Finals game and it's a close one, it really is very entertaining. Of course it's my story so my team won , but my team really won and even though there's no bet, we've enjoyed watching it.

I would love to watch and bet with sports with somebody but unfortunately, there's nothing aside from me that's an avid fan of watching sports (particularly basketball).

I definitely feel more invested and interested in a game when there is some money on the line. It's a little bizarre but I guess part of human nature, we all want to reassurance or even pride from being able to predict more accurately than other people. Ha, I and my friends do the same. Watching  favorite teams in the pub we are betting on them and the winner pay the drinks ^{(probably in your case the payer is the looser but it doesn't matter).}. My  winning friends never thought that it such a big deal to pay for others in the case they win. There's something about the excitement with betting and watching  football games with friends, it's just inexplicable and it can lead to you out of much excitements with the friendly arguments gambling away more money than you will do ordinarily if you were doing it alone. I am more excited watching games with bets attached to them. As gamblers,  we are used to expecting to get rewarded on our actions, When we are betting, we are excited on who will win and what will be the outcome.

It can still be a friendly bet, but the excitement is still there, When there's no bet, we are just half excited if our favorite team win, but if the competing teams are not our favorite teams without bets its like we are just watching and we don't care what will be the outcome.

It is always fun to watch football games with friends in a bar or betting shop. The atmosphere of analysis and argument makes it so entertaining that you wouldn't want to view games alone at home. Football is always fun with or without betting. But the fun of a live game will be complete if you win your bet. This is because, with the win, you can afford to pay for some bottles of drinks and go home with something.

People usually bet on virtual sports and I wonder how they derive fun from it since it doesn't look real. Live games make betting lively and entertaining. House games become an option when the major leagues have closed for the season.  

Any sort of bet on any game makes it more interesting, but depending on the size of the bet would determine if my heart is racing while watching the game or not. You throw $1 on a game it's a whatever amount and unless I really like the team I bet on I am likely not too interested in the game. If you toss $1k on the game, no matter if I like the team I bet on or not, I will be 100% invested in every play of the game.

Entertainment value is priceless as far as placing any amount of wager on a game, the excitement level is there the heart pumping action is though.

Ofc with a bet. Though granted I don't think there's ever going to be that big of a difference between with or without since I enjoy watching the sport itself no matter what! Being frustrated on missing goals on dumb plays, watching some insane plays by players, getting to foresee what's going to happen, unexpected defense by the keeper and stuff like that. Those aren't really connected to the bet and those themselves bring joy and excitement to me. The bet is just ehh, kind of like a side thing. Not really the main course when watching sports.

Granted it does get heated up when I bet with my friends since it's on the same circle.

Both can be more exciting for me because I have experienced with both. I bet with my friend for a glass of wine and enjoy the game and the result of the match was draw so we pay the glass by ourselves

In the other time, we just watch the next competition whereas we don't make a bet and just want to enjoying the game. Well, that is also exciting for us because we can enjoy the moment and feels happy because we can sit down together and other friends also come to us and watch the match. A friendly bet make watching soccer more exciting for us but that will depends on who your friends and how they can act with the bet. I mean they should accept whatever the result and not feels angry with other friend if they lost their money because that is just for fun.

This is why sports betting is so popular. It adds to the excitement of an already enjoyable game and also makes watching it, which is sort of a social event, more fun. I rarely bet when I am out watching football with a group of friends cause I do most of my betting online, but having a bunch of friends around and a few bottle of beers makes the mood so much better.

Always stake responsibly. If you are in a nail biting situation hoping not to lose your bet, you are staking more than you can lose. You only anxious moment should be potentially losing large potential winnings which are close to the finish line, and not your wager.

Whether it’s betting online or placing bets during the actual game, it’s always exciting as long as the bet amount gets you pumped. If you’re a gambler, you usually have a range where you feel that excitement. If you get excited with just $1, that’s great(less risk for you).

But personally, if I’m at a sports event with friends, betting around $50 to $100 would already bring some excitement. Of course, as I said, we all have our limits, so it’s important to stay within those limits without sacrificing the fun.

I do agree, it can get quite interesting and fun, if no hard feelings are intact for the bets made between the friends

Good way to increase the excitement of the game is to bet with your friend on simple things like buying of drinks at the table after the match, this way you both can bound along with the game, while the match is ongoing, you be busy enjoying some cool drinks and a little tipsy will light up the moment, but this can only be done on sport bets.


Unlike in house games, we're even if you are playing against other players, you have to remain active and avoid any distractions all through, so games like football match where you and the friend are just spectators, you have little to nothing to contribute to the game.

There is nothing as fun as watching a soccer game with a group of friends who are disagreeing with each other's choice of option, especially where there is a bet in between.
 
It brings out all the passion that both sides have for the team they support; it will get to a point where it will be as if you that place bet on the other team should jump into the television and show them how it's being done.

When I go with my friend to watch soccer games, and we place a bet on who will pay the drinks. We get so excited and cheer for our favorite teams. We might even shout things like, "Go Mbappé, go brother...!"
Of course, I’m not saying you should bet on every game before watching it... I'm just saying that human psychology is difficult to understand. Sometimes a 1$ bet or a drink can change the whole atmosphere...(as long as it's for entertainment)
