I have a lot of experience sending coins off to get graded. I have been a member of NGC for a number of years-they grade all my coins. There are a TON of coin grading companies. But you could literally decrease the value of your coin if you choose the wrong one. Plenty of grading "companies" exist, and ridiculously over-grade coins and have even let some fake ones slip-by, so having your coin graded by any one of them is literally a waste of money. There are THREE grading companies considered reputable, and having your coin graded by them will increase its value. The companies are NGC, PCGS and ANACs. Only ANACs grades Casascius coins (and I was QUITE suprised to find out they did). Since I first saw a Casascius coin graded and encapsulated by ANACs, I have wanted one for myself. Their fees are a bit high, though.

BUT if you submit five coins for grading, you quality for a discount, and only pay $12 (plus shipping) per coin-a HUGE discount; otherwise you would be paying a minimum of $29 (plus shipping).

I already have 2 coins I want to submit for grading. I am looking for other people who would like to have their Casascius coins graded. I need 3 more submissions to qualify for that discount-it would be optimal if they came from one person, but they could just as well come from separate people.

I would need you to ship your coin to me so that I could ship all of the 5 coins together. I will provide you with tracking info, everything necessary to provide COMPLETE transparency. I just want to get my coins graded for less, I have no other intentions (hopefully my reputation proves that).

How you choose to ship your coin to me is up to you. I will ship them back to you insured, via USPS First Class Parcel Post ($5).

Now, the price per grading of each coin is $12. However, ANACs charges a rather high fee for shipping (because they only do so by insured, registered mail). This is another reason why sending your coin along with others is a good idea-you pay only 1/5 (per coin) the cost of shipping to ANACs. I just checked-the total cost for return shipping from ANACs for 5 coins (you choose your own method and pay yourself to get your coin to ANACs) is $26, so $5.20 per coin.

SO, a general breakdown of cost:

1.$x.xx (cost of sending and return shipping (you can just include cash, postage stamps, whatever) of mailing your coin to me and me mailing it back (you can choose any shipping method you want)
2. $12 grading fee by ANACs
3. $5.20/coin for return shipping from ANACs
Estimate of total: $27
If you submitted the coin for grading yourself: $29 grading fee, $19 return shipping from ANACs fee, (estimate) $5 to send your coin to ANACs. Total=$53

That is why it makes so much sense to do it as a group. All prices quoted can be found on ANAC's site: anacs.com (http://anacs.com/PDFFiles/submissionform.pdf)

SO, lets get our coins graded for about half the price it would otherwise cost us! Doesn't this look awesome?
