1. Have a good whitepaper.
2. Condense the whitepaper into a couple of convincing slides.
2. Visit national and international blockchain conferences and present your project. This is *so* important and often neglected. Investors will trust you more after they've met you personally.

If you can create I Facebook and Twitter account that is only crypto related individuals only ,it will be a useful way of marketing your token and telegram and youtubers are also helpful.

Well with our project, for example, we have been getting messages from private investors from abroad that are showing interest to our project and we have met with some of them and some have invested in cash while others have offered help instead of equity etc
but best is do marketing, have a solid idea, and don't be afraid to meet people and explain your project and if the idea is good then people will come along.

I realized that more than 80% of all tokens are being sold in Pre- and Private Sales.
While ICO pre-sales are targeted at large investors, private investors make their decision based on how the token sale is structured.
The best way to steal investor's thunder is extremely good airdrop and bounty campaign

you need to appear as often as possible at conferences and submit your project to the public, so you fix your name and find the money.

I suppose that the roadshows can work best of all for that.
The team should attend conferences and events to meet potential investors. Just read the agenda of an event on their website and choose the optimal options to visit

Try and find some ICO pooling groups. They love hearing about upcoming ICOs which their investors get invitations to the pre-sale.

You may want to check earn.com. There are plenty of investors listed on the database and you can try to communicate them. Earn.com helps you contact targets without sharing their e-mail addresses. You may have to pay for each request but you will only pay if you get a reply. Worth trying...

Try hiring an ICO adviser who is also a venture capitalist or has a firm that operates venture capital. Surely, he or she can help you attract wealthy investors to invest in your private sale. Here are some notable venture capitalists you may want to join your team: David Drake, Jason Meyers, Tim Draper, and Michael Raumann. Try messaging them on their LinkedIn as most of them have an account there.

Like I once found it, but I forgot, lol
otherwise you can get seed funding from partnership. some projects gather partners to help raising fund and I think this way is good for start-ups which have only small budget to start.

Providing more information to your potential investors is a start. You need a solid white paper, a solid team, a solid website which looks professional, and an idea with a well planned roadmap where the expectations are being met.

Many listing websites claim they have some sort of investor database and you can arrange an email campaign with their help. But sure no one can guarantee the quality of these addresses Undecided Promoting your company profile on different investment platforms like angel.co, innmind, crunchbase etc can also help

If you have a website where you host your white paper and full token specifics, you can start gaining user attention through a wide means of marketing.
Press releases and advertisement goes a long way in terms of marketing.
Regarding the private investors, there are a number of ways. Expressing interest in an ICO allows you to call out on private investors who want to buy more than $x in early investment opportunities (before the pre-sale). Alternatively, as you suggested, you can go and find them by using an array of options (funds, private equity and crypto brokers).
