The only online wallet I currently trust: https://mywl.lt

Why do you trust it particularly? Genuinely curious

Hi, bite. Even if you use online wallets, it is better to store large amount of coins in a "cold storage", see https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_to_set_up_a_secure_offline_savings_wallet

Perhaps the US regulatory environment. I think they have a great platform, but its a use it or lose it scenario. Look to be doing something with Korea, perhaps to drive liquidity.

Makes sense. Its a real bummer you put all that work into a platform and then nobody shows up. Scary!!

Have a look at Coinkite and Kraken for LTC.

i'll second kraken for a nice exchange and wallet. Be sure to enable two-factor auth!

Except there is no volume at Kraken. What gives?

Steer well clear of Instant-E.com.
A total scam site run by a *******  crook.
I have contacted Google about the site but they have done nothing.
Still being returned on page 1 on any search terms entered looking for an online litecoin wallet.

Like Google ever do anything .... worst "customer service" in the world, along with Gox Wink

Hello everyone I'm new to crypto currency have bit of bitcoin and litecoin and would to know if anyone knows of a secure online litecoin wallet similar to blockchain.org or coinbase.com for bitcoins, litecoins online instant-e.com doesn't have that built in security which blockchain and coinbase has?

Online wallets can always be risky, because they're begging to be stolen from ... HUGE $$$ accessible from an internet connection Smiley

Instant-E.com scammed me, thankfully it was only 0.59 LTC ... keep you own wallet, back it up regularly (i keep a copy encrypted on my computer and on a USB stick), and read up on how to encypt it (It's really easy). Also keep your wallet offline most of the time until you need to transact with it.

Desktop wallets can usually be found on or linked to the coins official site. You simply need to download the file ( for windows it usually look like [coinname]-qt.exe ) and installl it on your own computer.

For keepin huge amounts of coins in your own wallet ... there is a pretty good suggestion here, a bit over the top, but definiteley super secure ... https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/howto-create-a-100-secure-wallet-17240
