Oh sweet, these websites are new to me. I'll follow your instructions and try them once I switch SSDs on my daily driver rig and open the Armory wallet.
Thanks.

You don't have download the blockchain, if you only want to know your balance. You can enter your address(es) in any block explorer and check their balance.

Here are some good block explorers.

To see the full list of your addresses, go to "Wallet Properties", select "Backup this wallet" and then "See other backup options". In the new window that will pop-up, select "Export key lists".
Your addresses start with 1. Be careful not to enter your private keys in block explorers mistakenly.

Back then I did some mining and lots of faucet runs but I don't remember if those earnings got into the Armory wallet. Balance is 0 and I thought it is correct as long as the last backup is older than the last block date in the synced chain.
Back to downloading the blockchain I guess Smiley.

Thanks for the reply and all you do for the project to keep it healthy. I couldn't believe Armory is still around after more than a decade.
@Zaguru12 so there is still hope my wallet does contain something. It doesn't make sense to backup something that is empty or was never used.

I'm trying to recover an old Armory wallet from 2014 and after many hours of fighting errors, installing Ubuntu 18.04 and downloading 1/3 of the unprunned blockchain(until 2018), I finally can see the database created and transaction history updated.
As the title says, I wonder if the balance is correct if the backup was created in 2014 and blockchain download is synced to 2018. Should I download the whole thing in order to get Armory work correctly?

Yes you’re seeing the transaction history since the address was way back to 2014 and the block height is upto that of 2018. But that details or history might be wrong because that’s not the entire block height. There could be transactions that have been done in a later block height that are yet to be downloaded. You must have to complete the download to the latest block to get the correct history of that address. Even when you run a prune node, you must have to download the full block and then delete the earlier blocks.

So it is a must to complete those blocks download to confirm the real amount and details of that address

It shows you that the coins are in your address up to the block height you've downloaded. You want to know if you have these coins *now*, you need the highest block *now*.
