does betonline.com send an sms when you sign up?
Do they keep your money if they find out you use vpn?

I'm not familiar with what you're talking about, and I have no intention of looking into that either. I would rather play gambling here in the crypto casino that has existed for several years in this field, and there are already communities that put money into their platforms, such as stakes, duelbits, Rollbit, and others.

Then it is not good to use a VPN in a casino if the country you are in is restricted to the casino itself or your country. Because for sure, in the end, the casino will get caught and find out, and it will just hurt your head too.

That's like the first step to KYC together with your name and as everyone is saying, most of the casinos are asking about it. So, if you think that you're okay signing up with that then that's fine. So, actually you don't have to sign up with your number, you can do that later when you're already signed up and you have to fill your account with some information for the limits that has been made to your account.

The difficulty would depend on your setup + how meticulous is the platform/providers + perhaps luck as well lol.
How do I go about setting this up with being found out in general by any gambling site, (not this one in particular)?
I have no idea if this casino is strict with the VPN but most of the casinos can cut you some slack when your transactions or withdrawals aren't that much. They don't mind you using some VPN because it's likely that becoming the norm nowadays and so, as long as you don't violate it and they allow it but you gotta know by asking them, the support directly if you're going to use VPN and if they're okay with that.

Most of the gambling platforms I've seen and have been using, they don't request for the user number, instead, they will only use the email address used in registration to send you their message, they mostly understand the privacy that includes in doing that,

Do they keep your money if they find out you use vpn?

Have you first consider going through their ToS before sign up to read if they require the use of vpn on their platform or not, if you violate their rules then they will definitely help you keep your money with them.

I can understand from your question that you are trying to overcome the restrictions imposed on your geographical area, but I do not understand your choice of a casino that does not support your country, although I am sure that there are certainly many options available to you.

As an answer to your first question: Whether the casino sends an SMS or a verification link via email, they can discover your geographical location.
Regarding your second question: Since you intend to use a VPN, if the casino does not require SMS confirmation, they can discover that as well. In any case your situation will not be good at all. The worst thing that could happen to you is for the platform to find out about you and let you make deposits without allowing you to withdraw. This is a very likely scenario and many people have experienced it.

Maybe buying a dedicated IP from a privacy-focused VPN provider is one of the solutions to avoid being flagged for malicious usage with DNS encryption. Then again this is not a foolproof plan especially if you're not cautious (forget to turn on the app when you want to access the website, for example). I think you should expect that they'll find out about you regardless of what you do, so if you use them less the lower the chance you get screwed up. You can also look for VPN friend casino, I seem to recall a thread about that in this sub-board. CMIIW.

you can try signing up since there is no obligation to deposit about creating an account.

Not sure if the site restricted your country so i cannot comment on that but many casino does not
allow their players to use VPN because sometimes this has been used by cheater to abuse the system and the site.

If you win some money, they can make up the excuse that you use a VPN, they must say that VPN is supported or not, if they say nothing about VPN, do not use VPN, they will use that against you when you win.

What would be the cause for your funds to be frozen? Just because you use a VPN they'll easily freeze an account? I think that is not a just practice of a casino, they have to ensure that there are TOS to be in place and being followed, if VPN is not mentioned in the TOS, then you'll not violate anything if you are using a VPN, unless if they decide to scam which any argument will not work anymore.

I think your point is valid here and I fully support your opinion. As a casino putting all the required guidelines on their terms and conditions of service is very important because there all players who visit can read it properly before engaging. Looking at VPN affairs, if a casino writes about VPN on their terms and conditions, it is likely their is a clause holding VPN usage which you as a gambler would need to read before engaging with them but if there is nothing like VPN there I think they have no moral rights to confiscate a gamblers fund just because they use VPN which was not captured on their terms and conditions. So that should not be a case of argument as the casino should know that already. They can put up an argument if the stated that on their policy but can not do otherwise unless they have the intentions of scamming people.

Find something better, it's not the only gambling platform that ever existed.

This is even the first time that I have heard this name, it shows that it's a less popular online casino, and apart from the possible restriction on your location, they can decide to do you bad.

Unpopular casinos are not to be trusted, that's why I don't just go to any I can find online and start using it, if you can share your location instead you will get free names of good online casinos that you can use.

They can find out that you are using VPN, but the problem is if they don't support the use of VPN, have you read their ToS first? Just do the research yourself, if you can't find anything about VPN then do not bother to even use it.

If you win some money, they can make up the excuse that you use a VPN, they must say that VPN is supported or not, if they say nothing about VPN, do not use VPN, they will use that against you when you win.

Like fool proof way? hmm. I don't think such a thing exist TBH. IMO, it's all about mitigating and bearing the risk.

Your purpose of VPN usage could be an important variable. If it's for privacy, I could see some platforms out there letting you off assuming there are no other accusations such as bonus abuse and you're willing to kyc.

If your place is restricted. There are two kinds of platforms. One that eats your deposit + winnings once found out and the other that only eats your winnings. To sum it up read the terms of service. Again, assuming there are no other accusations such as bonus abuse, etc.

The overarching theme is you are at their mercy hence, bearing the risk.

You have to read the TOS of the casino to know if the allow the use of vpn and at what limit they do that and also if you are not getting sms verifications I advice you use email instead because sometimes experience that delay in getting sms verification codes also when I want to use some new casinos site by registering on them via sms code verifications.

And each time, when it didn't work I switched to email verifications and at that point I gain access code that helped me get through with my registration on that said platforms.

Even if you use a VPN and a fake phone number, they will find about it sooner or later.
How?
From this reply I can conclude my assumption that you are trying to bypass the casino's geo-restriction was correct.
Well, even if you use a paid VPN service, the casino owners can and will find about it especially if it's a well established casino which has invested a lot of money on  sophisticated anti-cheating systems.
In that case, they will ask you to verify your identity to confirm you are from the country you claim you are from.

I am not familiar with this site as i never have played on this  but if their TOS says you must not use VPN when your country is restricted then you must respect that decision and never violate that or else your funds will be on hold or be taken.
about SMS? have you tried creating one and have they asked you for your mobile number?

I checked this casino but it seems it's not working, I means the site is not loading, doesn't seem like they are still online.

But however, even if the casino was still online and working fine, it is a very unpopular casino and not known to several of gamblers on this forum, so, as such, it's hard for us to know what their terms and conditions are, or how they operate.

I will want to assume that you possibly made a mistake in the domain extention; which is why the link you mentioned is not opening, maybe the domain extension is not a .com, but something different, what I did advice is you try to find out the actual site, and make sure you are not directed to a clone, then read their terms and conditions or terms of service to discover how the site operates, abs whether they allow their users access the casino with VPN or not.

anyway, @Potato Chips, since betcoin.ag is betcoin.com, yes, I visited the website live(I needed to use VPN to access the website). sorry I didn't noticed that they domain has been changed and that you went all of that trouble trying to access betcoin.com.
No worries! plus that only took me a couple of minutes  Grin

Anyhoo. It would have been nice if they made the .com domain redirect to .ag since they spent a good amount of time on the .com domain.

It's interesting though that .com domain is expiring in a month or so

The difficulty would depend on your setup + how meticulous is the platform/providers + perhaps luck as well lol.

For instance, perhaps you chose a provider that leaked your DNS. Being on a non-dedicated IP could raise an eyebrow as well if several users have already used the same IP.

I'm not sure about the virtual/disposable numbers but I guess some could be keeping a block list of known problematic numbers which they could be distributing across some services. Cheap phone verification services like smspva also recycles their numbers into oblivion lol.

Casinos being operated by the same company may group user data as well which they may use for cross checking.

base on the terms and conditions I quoted from their website, yes. according to the terms and conditions any attempt to circumvent the restriction they have will result to account closure and balance forfeited.

Were you able to access betonline.com live or was this from a saved webpage or some sort? I can't seem to access the website even after trying with several locations lmao. Third party website checkers like urlscan do not work too.

Another interesting thing is, the last archived date on the wayback machine for this domain was on 2020, see: https://web.archive.org/web/20240000000000*/betonline.com

Do you mean do they send an OTP to your phone number? No, they don't but they will send you an activation link to your email address which you need to click to activate your account.
If your intention is to bypass the geo-restrixtion then my advice is to forget about it and look for another casino where your country is not restricted.

Domain Name
BetOnline has switched to the Betonline.ag domain name. Their Betonline.com domain is still active but they told their partners that the Betonline.ag domain will be their primary address starting on April 4, 2012.[7][8]

I tried to click the registration link and it asked a phone number, so probably they employ an SMS verification.

Some online betting platforms also use SMS for verification during the signup process as part of their security measures.

You should review the terms of service of the platform you're using, they typically outline their policies on VPN usage. Many platforms prohibit VPN usage due to concerns about fraud, compliance with regional regulations, and ensuring fair play. Violating these terms could result in penalties, including the forfeiture of funds. Always ensure you're complying with the platform's terms and conditions to avoid any issues.

I think the best way is to reach out directly to their customer support for clarification.

Didn't heard about that casino but you could able to try to sign up there and see what are the requirements before you can sign up and after that read the necessary details like their TOS so that you will know what is forbidden on their casino and what are they allowed to do.

You can also check if the casino is entertaining to play or not. But in that case where you are not sure of everything better try to experience for yourself first also much better not to use VPN so that you can avoid any potential issue and can gamble without anything to worry. And since you are here you could able to try those casino who have their own thread since you can find more quiet reliable casino than that casino you have been asked since lots of people are not familiar with it so the reputation of it is so questionable for now.

In some casinos, when registering, what is only required is your email alone, but lately, some require numbers as an option for you to choose from, but if any casino makes it compulsory, then it is not right.

With respect to  using vpn, it is not advisable to do so at early stage. You should read the terms and conditions of the service before engaging. It is good that you do so that you know if your country is among the names of restricted nations so that you do not  waste your time and resources with the casino; otherwise, you will have yourself to blame. Lastly, that casino name sounds strange and I have not seen them here before. You can correct me if I am wrong; this is the first time such a name appears here. I hope they will come here for better publicity and engagement.

Are you sure the domain name is correct? I tried to visit it with a VPN and DNS encryption but it shows a name server error. Are you sure it is not .ag instead? I found them on social media and most search engine shows that if you search 'betonline'. If that's what you're referring to, my country gets filtered so it is very likely that using a VPN will result in some punishment including losing your money after you deposit it.

Don't waste your time gambling in any site that has restricted your country from playing with them. Worse of is if you use VPN to bypass their restrictions and win big, you can't do verification,  it will be painful to you because you can't get your money since you have violated their rules.
If some gambling site know that someone is accessing their site from a restricted country, they will not care but the person may continue to lose. But if the person win and want to withdraw money, that will be when the gambling site will do thorough checking and if the person is know to be from a banned country, the person may not be given the money and the person will lose. But some gambling sites can be lenient and give the person back his money but his winning or profit will not be given.

On point explanation. Casino usually doesn’t care to any account as long as money is not going out. This is always the common argument made by the affected users which until now we don’t find justice as players since casino doesn’t investigate an account without any withdrawal involved.

I believe the Anti Money Laundering policy makes them very strict on withdrawal while the are saving resources to investigate to all their account so that they minimize it to the one that initiated withdrawal only besides some casino do this so that they can get more profit from players that keeps deposit without any withdrawal committed due to frequent losses which is not new on gambling industry.

I think you are asking because you are from banned country because like what @cointrader say there seems to be countries that banned from accessing that site since I also cannot find them.
and if that is your main reason then better to never use VPN in gambling site that does not allow you so because if you are being caught then your funds and account will be in vain.

If you are able to access it, just make sure you follow the ToS of the gambling site. If your country is restricted, do not use VPN to bypass the restriction because the betting site can block your account and not give you the money that you won.

I’m not a player of betonline.com and it’s my first time hearing this but sms notifications is based on your account setup when you register like if you use mobile number to register in the casino or you check “receive sms notif” then you will receive it via your sms.

Always read the ToS but in general it depends on you use VPN. If you are using it to bypass your country restrictions then they have the right to seize your money because you are illegally playing in their casino but just like what I’ve said, always check the ToS to play safe. Don’t be lazy on doing that.
