i got a lag sometimes too when trying to place an order. The order got placed after a few seconds though.

and oh no I think i just discovered that binance have an desktop app lol, will try it.
Most of the trades I have placed on Binance has been getting filled within 1 second ever since I created an account with them and I have never experienced such.

I guess it must be a very short issue for many of its user not to have noticed or complain about it or probably a problem with your internet connection, and for the desktop app, I  was never aware of their desktop application ever since I have been with Binance, how did I manage to miss this, I guess I will just join you too in trying it out provided is an application I can find on their website and not just any site claiming to hold an application for Binance.

I already posted in this thread, stating that Binance always worked well for me--and that remains true, but I just did a trade after not having used the site for several months at least, and man....it's slow.  It didn't freeze like how OP experienced, but on my computer at least it takes forever to load.

The login process is just ridiculous as well, and I've always hated it.  I guess I had the 2FA activated, and you have to type in your username and password, then you have to solve that stupid little puzzle, then they send you a text message--and because I hadn't logged in in so long, they also had me verify all of this shit with an e-mail.  Just to log in.

However, once I was logged in and had everything loaded, I did my trade and was able to withdraw the coins with no problem.  No glitches or anything.  Binance might not be perfect by any means, but they're the exchange I'm going to use until something better comes along.  They've got tons of coins to trade, and I found what I needed (PIVX).  I would have used Changelly if they offered that particular coin, but they don't.

I use their mobile application, android for more than a year now and what you have written has never happened to me. I have also used their website frequently and the interface is good there too. Have you checked your internet connection.? One of my friends had similar issue because his internet was not stable.

I never had any issues like this on binance before but I wouldn't be shocked to find out neither. I mean they have like a zillion customers now and their data storage could go as high as they can implement it whereas customer number keeps rising a lot faster.

After a certain point I expected the numbers to slow down but its obviously not. Volume is at great heights compared to their competition as well so they do have a lot on their plate about it.

Right now, all I can say is that if you are having those sort of issues maybe try it on another computer, I know browser and even same browser but incognito usually solves these issues but if not than the problem could be the computer, try it on another PC and see if it happens again, I mean we are all using and not having that issue so it could be the PC.

I use it when I need. Honestly, I do not remember having big problems until now. Just, a few months ago there was a little problem with the API. Anyway, being number 1 is the proof of usefulness.

Hi,
First up - I now have the desktop app. And it just works. No nonesense such as coins you bought not showing up till refreshed e.t.c.
It's also very 'snappy/responsive. No hangs or lags/freezes.

My rig is; i7-4790k, plenty of ram.
I didn't have a dedicated GPU at the time of writing and I have not tested the website since upgrading GPU as the website was annoying me.
I had this issue on both chrome and firefox.
Although seeing as a few others have the same problem - I would guess it's some sort of software/hardware compatibility bug..

If your experiencing these issues - I'd recommend getting the desktop app. .(I'd recommend it either way.)
Feels and looks very professional, whereas the website looks terrible in my opinion - that colour scheme for starters. and maybe the mobile app if you like.

My major gripe with Binance is the website becomes unresponsive after a while - freezes/crashes regularly.
The only way to get the website working again is to open a new tab and re-enter the address. Simply trying to refresh the page doesn't work..
I'm using google Chrome browser. But I also had the same experience with Firefox.
Is anyone else having this problem?
I've been using Binance for quite sometime now and I never had this experience or had this kind of problem using them. If you could provide a few details like what kind of computer are you using (Laptop or desktop, core i5 or lower specs), speed connection may also play a part of your problem. I don't think browser plays a big part on your issue with Binance.

I am using a core i5 laptop with chrome browser. Sometimes I use Brave browser to eliminate those ads. I don't open a lot of tabs as much as possible when trading to avoid lags.

I do not understand why you are having problems with the exchange Binns, it is stable and crashes happen only during the IEO exchange. In connection with the simultaneous desire to buy tokens, the interface begins to fail in the first 10-15 minutes, but then again the exchange works stably.
Binns controls 51% of the turnover of the cryptocurrency today, and is the largest exchange, try to trade there is the probability of earning it much better, because tokens are liquid.

Binance is my favorite exchange and I recommend it to all my friends.  Never had a technical issue and they are one of the most trustworthy exchanges that handle large volume.  Of course they are a business and sometimes they make unethical decision based on money but that is capitalism for ya.

Binance is really trusted exchange and it is also the most used exchange among all. I also sometimes feel that binance freezes at few times but it can be sometimes the load is too much on the site. Since this freeze of site is only for few seconds so it is negotiable. Overall i think binance is best in terms of support and interface.

I have been trading on Binance for more than a year, but i have never faced problems such as freeze/crash. I think that it has been the best exchange out there for some time.
It is actually the best exchange in the whole world for now and even if they have any issue as the one he reported, it doesn’t even still stop them from being the best exchange still existing because their service is perfect, they might experience little system challenge sometimes which I believe every system does have in one point or the other, just like Facebook had recently,  and almost put the whole world into panic but eventually, it was fixed and system back to normal.

I do see forex exchanges are deploying multiple servers across globe to meet the service requirements. At the same time, I do see no crypto exchanges are doing the same which may be the another level of upgrade binance may need to have to serve us in more convenient way.

Had you tried using their mobile app? I'm using it and don't have any issues though.
Their mobile apps is awesome since i have been using binance mobile almost a year now and remains no issue,so just try to consider with small amount first and if satisfies you then extend the trading

While yeah sometimes the balance didn't show up but it will just like a second and didn't experience this regularly.

I guess this not showing instantly of the balance is depend on your Internet connction because everytime i am on data mode this happens but if im on wifi no issue at all

Likewise, don't have thoughts about stop loss since I don't do that as I get in the order book oftentimes.
Stop loss applies if you are not in monitoring constantly but if you have plenty of time i guess this strategy is not needed

I have been experiencing browser freezes too, but not solely related to Binance. It also happens on Coinbase Pro and Bitstamp. The interesting part is that it happens after like 10 hours of inactivity, while if I refresh the page or interact with the exchange itself these freezes don't happen. It's either related to a not that maxed out PC setup or something within Windows itself. It happens with every popular web browser.

I have my tablets on a stand and have the sites of the aforementioned exchanges open all the time and thus far I haven't experienced one single problem. It's not ideal, but it's ok enough for me since I only track the prices. Most of my trading happens on Bitmex, which doesn't crash on my PC for whatever reason.  Roll Eyes

Hey. OP here.
Thanks for all the suggestions - much appreciated. I've had a lot on my mind so am only just getting back to this.

A desktop app!!! that sounds like it'll eliminate the issue.
I am using a pretty good machine, well - minus a GPU, which I ironically sold to miners... in December 2017..... (such bad timing..)
I do have an i7-4790k so I'm fairly confident that can handle the 'graphics' - i mean i can play games like CSS and L4D1. So I doubt it's that.
I only seem to have issues like this on GDAX and Binance. All other websites work just fine.

I regularly clean the cache on the browsers and they're up to date.
Bit of a mystery.
I'll give the desktop app a whirl, the smartphone app too.
If they both don't work out - I guess I'll contact support.
---

Just today I pressed BUY and it said 'order submitted' - then nothing appeared in my open orders... so i thought it'd bugged out after a min and clicked it again, same thing.
So I refresh the page - and I have two limit orders.
Pretty annoying tbh but hopefully the apps will work out better for me.
Thanks again, I'll update in time with what worked.
Regards
TG

Edit: Wow the desktop app is so much better.
I forgot to mention - I have to run the website in basic mode, Advanced layout crashes the page in seconds.
But the desktop app is the same or very similar to advanced mode layout.
It also runs smoothly!!!! no clunky wtf is this stuff.

I have been making use of binance for my trading activities since 2017 and I have never experienced a down time before or a crash in the website so I think it is from your end, maybe the fault is from your network provider.

I have experienced some crash on different website and once I try to find out the cause of the crash, I always discover that the fault is coming from the network providers I am making use of and not the website.

Never had the same issue as yours but never really tried it too with Google Chrome browser.
Just using the mobile application and all are smooth as always.
Also the buy and sell keeps on updating without even refreshing it.

Try updating your Google Chrome browser or use another. Mozilla might be the best choice, also for security.
Hope it will work.

I am using Binance mobile app and never experienced any problem like freezing or crashing. It is one of the best cryptocurrency exchange I have ever used. I don't use the main website much. I think you should try the mobile app, it is really useful and the interface is so easy to use.The problem might be with the browser. Try clearing cache and cookies.

I have used Binance only about 3-4 times and never faced any kind of problems like crashing or lagging. I dont know if your browser could be a problem since the majority of us are using Chrome, so i am thinking your computer could be a problem. Maybe you dont have the latests updates of your window, maybe you dont have all drivers installed or maybe the problem comes from your browser because it was installed incorrectly.

Hello all.
I'm still searching for an exchange that works, has good order types and is to my liking.
I'm considering Binance again, after losing trust in Bitmex and GDAXs crazy high taker fees.

My major gripe with Binance is the website becomes unresponsive after a while - freezes/crashes regularly.

Second to this is often when you buy some BTC it doesn't show up in your account until you refresh the page. So if you try to place a stop-loss for the coin you just bought - it says your balance is 0.00 buy some coin first.
Refreshing the page losses all the information the page contained. So that includes the stops you had typed in advance. Which knowing bitcoin as we do - that could be disastrous if you were unlucky.
As during the time it takes you to refresh the page, re-type the stops and hit enter... the price could have crashed below your stop. This is why I so want OCO orders, to prevent this occurrence.

Are both these issues commonly experienced at Binance?
The second issue I mentioned; of having to refresh the page for the coin or usd you just bought to register in your account is also happening to me over at GDAX.

I did not face any such issue with Binance yet, pls get your explorer settings checked once, Binance website is working fine everytime I use it, if it freezes at some point in your PC, it may a problem at local end. I would also suggest you to try Binance app for trading, I have used it on my android phone and its working very well even funds deposits and withdrawal can be done easily from app. For tech analysis Binance is providing good chart facility like website on app.

Try to re-install your browser and adobe flash player. Maybe you can also re-install some of your video drivers. Trading platforms may also lag if you don't have enough RAM on your computer but I don't think that it should work the same with online charts.
There might also be some issues related to your location but re-installing your browser should help. In worst case, if your PC is full of viruses then you can re-install the entire Windows (or whatever OS you use).

It is expected to happen and that is why they will keep doing upgrade from time to time according to demands, the rapid growth Binance is witnessing in its community is something really large, just like you have dumped other exchanges for Binance,.

It is the same way we have lots of users that has dumbed other exchanges for Binance too these short period of time they are coming up with lots of strategies that is really pulling so many user/investors to them but with time, those inconveniences and problems you experienced or experiencing will fade away with their upgrading/enhancements.

When I have the desktop app running for days on end, it does end up crashing.
I have around 16 gigs of ram so memory isn't an issue.

So I typically restart the app every 48 hours to avoid this.

Is there a possibility that your internet connection or computer is the one giving you problems with? Aren't you experiencing it on other websites or programs with in your computer? Also check if your browser is the problem here, you should try running it on other browsers to confirm what I am saying. Problems like this one are due to connection issues which is common for people running with an outdated pc which has slow internet connection.

I do not use Binance often, but as most others on this thread, I do not experience any such issues when using their services.
Do you have such crashing or lagging problem on other sites you frequent on that device, as the problem could be from your end.
It is the largest exchange by market cap with millions of dollars in trading volume daily, it's unlikely such an issue goes unnoticed

Try to monitor the situation for several days. I think your case was only at your side because if there's a major (or minor) problems like that, we should see complaints about it and even I should experienced that as I regularly opened my account there to check my stuffs.

Try to logged on other machine in a different ISP. Yes might be at risks at you but there are ways to protect yourself on a public machines. But on the other hand, there are also ways to connect on other ISP with the used of your own machine so you will feel safe. PC specs surely was not the concern here as I believed you are running on a medium built specs or you can correct me if Im wrong here.

If the problem continues, try to send a ticket to Binance support and try their recommendations.

I have had similar issues like freezing of webpage and not refreshing while clicking the refresh button and so had to open a new tab again.
But these issues were only there when I used Binance on my phone's web browser. This might be due to less ram and so I would like to say that if you have less ram (less than 4 GB) then may be this is due to it.
Also, try an updated version of browser and also try the mobile app and check if the issue persists. If the issue still persists after all of these then may be it's time for you to contact Binance.

Nope, never had any crashes or freeze in between trades here in my machine. Perhaps it has something to do with the specifications of what machine you're using? I'm currently looking at their mobile app as I'd like to trade, or at least try to trade on mobile and see whether I can juggle between trading and doing real work at the same time when I'm away of the house.

Anyway, here's the specifications of the machine that I'm currently using for Binance (if this helps, because it could be your system that is the problem):

16GB RAM
GTX 1660TI

I had that kind of issue year ago when I stopped using web interface. Just download their desktop app and trade (it freezes just for milliseconds ONLY during watching pump and dump groups doing spam orders - and that's the one and only situation when it happens). I was using at least 10 exchanges. Binance is best choice.

It does not for me. But I can tell you that platforms will begin to freeze as more people come on board and the system takes in many orders and many commands. It is just like a computer that you load up with many apps and perform many commands.

I experienced this with some exchanges before. Fast when new and slow when popular. So expect Binance one day will become like this. Wait for the bull run, then you will understand.

I use Binance quite frequently, and almost never had a problem besides one time when my deposit was delayed(even though I had 5+ confirmations), but it was immediately credited an hour after.

It looks like the issue is on your side as I don't think I've read of such an issue on Reddit(I'm subscribed to two of Binance's subreddits). Do you have a different device to try Binance on? I was going to suggest that you clear  your browsing data(cache, etc) but you said that it also doesn't work well on Firefox. But try to clear your browsing data, just incase.

Every time I open my Binance website, I don't experience any of your issues. Maybe some of the verification purposes like when you slide the slider, even if you input the correct position, it sometimes didn't read the correct one. It's just a minor glitch maybe, and it could be easily refreshed.

Other exchanges with the balance, I experience too, a first hand like for Bittrex and IDAX. I remember when I check my balance, it shows 0 first but as long as I know how much I have in there, I would be patient in waiting for it.

I would suggest using a trading tool like Gunbot. Setting it up would be easy and would help you not lose an opportunity with the right trades if you are interested, pm me.

I never had any problem with Binance, except miss to place an order buy or sell in the good price. But it's strange if it just happens to you. Did you already use the latest update for Chrome? Did you try with Opera or IE? If in another browser it's fine, then maybe the browser itself has a problem, and you should not use it.

Using your phone will be good, but it depends on the internet connection speed because it will be different if you use your computer, besides that, you will face a limitation when you use your phone. Sometimes, I don't feel good to trade using my phone because I cannot feel free to see the chart or the order.

I'm not exactly a hardcore Binance user, nor a computer expert, but I have used them quite a few times and never had the issues you're talking about.  In  fact, their interface worked pretty damn smoothly for me every time I traded on that exchange.

It doesn't sound like it's your browser, and I don't know what kind of setup you have as far as what hardware you're using, but if I had to guess (and this is with my relative ignorance of tech) I'd say it has something to do with that.  Could be Binance itself, but I've never heard your specific complaint before on this forum and as I said, I've never experienced it myself.

Using the mobile app sounds like a good idea if it's glitching for you.  Trading on your phone is awesome, since you can do it anywhere.
