I think the primary result of the "21Inc Bitcoin Computer" will be hype that will enable the current Venture Capital companies to make money when they try and take 21Inc public.

That's where the real money is this adventure.

the 21 Bitcoin Computer , is perhaps best considered a prototype of what’s to come. A mining chip with a Raspberry Pi attached (and some other bells and whistles), it invites developers to build products and services that make use of its ability to provide a steady stream of bitcoin to owners, and demand bitcoin from others.
It’s easy to conceive how such a product could be powerful at scale should consumer devices come to be embedded with bitcoin, as common as other protocols like Bluetooth and near-field communication (NFC).

what do you think will be built with the 21 Bitcoin Computer?

no

Yeah those things are just to appeal to newbies and people who don't know any better, IMO.I'd rather just save $365 by doing it this way instead.

Ha! I remember that post, I kek'd pretty hard at it. 21co wasn't too amused, I imagine they don't want the people that funded that horseshit to find out how horribly misspent their funds were.

Just don't set that expensive little toy that has no case on any metal surface, or bye-bye! It seems that getting millions in V.C. money doesn't buy you engineers smart enough to develop a case for the thing.

Amazon feedback for this thing reads like a reddit circlejerk thread too. I wouldn't buy one based on what I see there.

it's a niche thing, too expensive, and far less useful than a trezor for example, which is also a niche thing

i like more their projet about making everything a miner, like bulbs etc...
