of course its price might decrease after the last growth as nearly everything is possible in my opinion, though i dont think it will happen

It depends on the extent of the price rise. If the price rises too fast, the price will drop a lot after the peak.

I can't say it will decrease to that price, bitcoin price is so unpredictable.
But I'm sure bitcoin price will go down after halving because people dump their bitcoin when the price reach it's high.

Do you thing bitcoin price will be back to 480€ theses days ?
Good decision to post bitcoin pricein Euro currency, and its need some effort to take calculationinto US dolar or local currency. i think there are some possibilities that bitcoin price will fall down, again. back into 480€ or down under 450€. buti'm sure bitcoin price will not touch under $500 again.

there is no reason for the price to go down unless another massive FUD comes out from a well known bitcoiner. but even then i wouldn't expect price to go down so much, and in the worst case scenario it will only go down to $500 level and nothing more before it begins rising up again.

As long as the price does not get pumped too much, there will be no big dump. The $500 will be the bottom.

Nothing can be predictable at the moment. What if everyone at halving sell their coins and there is a high panic in the bitcoin community . Only such a situation can lead to high price value loss. Otherwise there is no way that the bitcoin price can fall down.

I think it will happened someday and maybe after the halving hype is done, the price of bitcoin will decrease. But for now, i think the price will keep increasing until the halving come.
but I guess for now prices remain stable and I hope it stays this way. I do not know when else bitcoin prices will rise, but I think the current price of bitcoin is excellent. and I also felt that a time of bitcoin prices will go down, but it may still be very long

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
Well its normal coz bitcoin is not stable related in its price, it will going up and down but we are not sure if it dump too low, but that is the time buyer of bitcoin will come out sell it or trade in high price because its the good timing. But we really dont know if when will it happen. Just hoping that it will stay in the range of $500-$550 after the halving . Grin

yeah the sudden rises are the ones that cause a pump and pumps are leading to high prices that are never stable. so as long as the price is rising like now and rising slowly the chance of falling back is pretty low.
Do you think the price today it will not decrease again? we are just seeing pump and dump price of bitcoin until now the value of bitcoin is hardly to place in 600 value.. because some holders are gradually dumping their bitcoins instead the price will continue to increase some traders are dumping to make some profit.. and buy again when the price is low.. this is a nature of trading..

Impossible to predict where bitcoin price will go. Everyone can speculate, but it's really all about demand. If people will know more about bitcoin, price will go up. But because governments don't like bitcoin, people are afraid to use it. It's too much about scam, illegal activites, terorism and other crap. None reports about good stuff.

No it will not decrease now, as more and more people are getting involved in this currency and also a number of online stores are opening with purchase with bitcoin, so people will not leave this currency easily and with that bitcoin will not drop down and will continue to rise and one day it will be the global currency.

You can already even see that the value of Bitcoin is now rising already and that is really nice because many people wants to make some profit with Bitcoin.
But it will be really hard to know what will happen later with Bitcoin and what is going to happen with the value.

I think bitcoin price could drop briefly, but the short term trend is up, correction and then up again.

As always is an obligation tell - no one can know because with bitcoin everything can happen - but telling this I think that the answer to the question made from the OP is no. Bitcoin is near the halving and who is interested know that halving must bring increase of price. This condition and the time until halving (very short) goes in favor of not decrease of the price but at further increase of it.

Jack of all trades 💯
There will always be a price dip here and there, it cannot just go in one direction. It might go sideways for a while before it pulls back because of different factors that affect how the way the price behaves. Corrections are inevitable to balance between supply and demand and what the market thinks should be the price.

Yeah i agree there was always price fall back since their many bitcoin users thinks the price is enough and they will sell their coin but it can retain to upward since for today many people waiting for halving event even though there was backwards there are many people pulling the price up thats why we can see an continous rally today.

I think for me.yes it may drop untill $480 again just like what happened last halvin when its almost at $600 mark and suddenly drop to$200 and then a big pump from $200 to $1200 mark on halving day and so on.Maybe it may happen again due to massive selling of bitcoins before halving.Maybe theres a bigger dump than what  you expecting.

There will always be another drop in price, be it big or small. The quesion is just when. I believe the bitcoin price will go up to 1000 USD, drop down to 800 after a market correction, then steadily rise up to 1.2k.

probably, because as we look at the past, after high price, it would be low price. it's natural. the thing is, we don't really know how long the high price will be and how long the low price will be. and 480€ it's not exact number of decreasing price. it could be higher or lower.

We are in economics forum, you can know one thing for sure, and that is , the price of a single product cannot go indefinitely up without some correction down the way (some intervals where the price go down) however in economics is used what is called fundamental analysis to determine the price of a trading pair like EUR/USD for example and is all based on major central banks politics. Bitcoin have not such authority therefore is much more volatile than EUR/USD pair, but even bitcoin is not immune to some corrections down the way, so yeah we may se the price decrease in few intervals, but definitely go up in the long run, especially after the halving there is large speculation it will go up.

Yeah, nothing can go up without a feel small dumps along the way. Thus the adjustments that we always have when the price is going up by too much. However, the general trend is bullish.

OP, I believe that bitcoin will keep on rising in the long term. These details simply do not matter to me. They sometimes happen, and sometimes the price stays stables for a while before rising again.

No one can say for sure what will happen to the price because everything depends on the market movements. If we take into consideration the supply and demand principle the price of Bitcoin will continue to raise as long as the users don't start cashing out their coins for fiat tempted by the big value they see on the exchanges. If people stay calm and keep on hoarding these Bitcoins the price could very well surpass the $1000 threshold even before Christmas. However if the speculators stop buying in Bitcoin and move onto other alt coins due to higher profit margins the price will go down. I am trying to learn how the stock markets work because Bitcoin is acting like a commodity now more than ever and whoever has knowledge about the market movements will make a lot of money.
No one ca ensure about it, however I am thinking that current (let's say) inflation of prices is a result of increasing demand of people who expect halving happens. So it may decrease.

always bet on it returning to lower levels and buying before it goes up. The last time I bought really big, were when it was $250+ and I am glad I did. You will not see $400 for some time... The

Nothing can rise endlessly. Of course there will be a dump era. Every new high we see can be the last. Obviously there is a huge interest in bitcoin right now but that also can be someone's/some company's manipulation. You never know. I think that the bitcoin is gonna rise to a high amount this year with the halving that is incoming so I do not think that it will not decrease.
Assuming that there will be no mega dump happening at the time of the halving, then yes. There will be nearly no long-term negative movement to the value of bitcoin but I kind of doubt it. I'm pretty sure that there will be some people who will dump their coins by the time the value rises.

A lot will depend on the reaction from China. The Chinese authorities fucked up the Bitcoin rally in 2013 December, when they suddenly banned banks from dealing with businesses related to Bitcoin. And in February 2014, the Mt Gox scandal was uncovered, which sank the crypto-currency to rock bottom. Just hoping that things will be better this time around.

Now prices in € are 493€, i don't see any problem moving to 480€ its an small change (last 24 low its 475€). With halving in few weeks some users expect that bitcoin will increase its price every day, but reality its that bitcoin prices moves up and down, if it has a big increase its normal to have an small pull back.
