I'll like to host a signature campaign for my company on bitcointalk, but I don't know if as a new user on the platform,it can be done. I've read the guidelines and there is an option of hiring a manager. What if my company has a manager to oversee the campaign? Can a newbie host one?
If you want to lunch a campaign, I think that you're free to launch your campaign in bitcointalk, ranks doesn't guarantee for launching of campaign, only think is that, for you to post images to this platform, you need to purchase a copper member, so that it can enable you to post images, because it's people or users that ascertain the position of member and full members above is authorised to post images, but a process whereby you are not familiar of managing campaign by yourself, you can hire people who manages campaign to assist you or you entrust the campaign to them to manage for you, until you understand the community very well, but as of your position or rank you are now, it doesn't disqualify you not to host campaign.

...I remember a newbie running a signature campaign before, and it lasted over four years, one of the longest on the forum! Now, that account’s legendary...what a journey for him and his company!

I participated in this campaign from the first week to the last day, but you are obviously confusing something, since the manager of the BestChange Signature Campaign was not new to the forum at the time of the launch of this campaign. The account of the Best_Change manager was registered on the forum on July 19, 2017, and the Signature Campaign began on January 13, 2020.

First of, there’s no rule that restricts newbies from Hosting or managing a signature campaign, but the reason why it’s advisable to hire a manager on the forum rather than handling the campaign yourself or bringing along your own manager is because you may not have the experience to manage a campaign here, you’ll need someone who really have experience in the forum and who knows his way around the forum too to be able to professionally manage the campaign.

Again, you or your manager needs to fully understand the rules guiding the forum before managing a campaign, as a default ( knowingly or unknowingly) by the manager could affect the campaign as well as your brand or company’s image in the community, thereby defeating your purpose for initial hosting the campaign. Hence the reason why you need a professional hand to do it for you because they understand the rules and thereby minimizes the chances of errors.

There have been and there are current campaigns managed by newbies in the bounty section. As long as the newbie knows how to operate a signature campaign, he can launch one. There are disadvantages if newbies are the ones running a campaign; one of these is familiarity with various sections and members of the community; some members are good at branding what they are promoting.
Second is trust issue on payment; people will have second thoughts about joining your campaign if the funds is not on escrow so you have to pay for escrow.
A signature campaign is branding a service or a product, and it should be handled by a seasoned campaign manager, but if you trust your team, you can proceed as long as the in house manager keeps learning how to run a campaign.

Newbies are allowed to launch a campaign; you can get a copper account to help you manage your campaign as long as your project is legit and not dubious, like a HYIP or Ponzi scheme.
The problem with newbie running a campaign is trust so you need to get an escrow for payout, Managers here in Bitcointalk make it easy for you to run a campaign; just send them what your goal and the managers will give you a lot of options to reach that goal.
Hiring a campaign manager here minimizes your work load. I recommend Hhampuz for your campaign; I believe he is the best manager here.

Irrespective of your rank, you can definitely host a signature campaign here, your company might decide to manage the campaign, but there are also experienced managers on the forum here, which will be better if you can hire them, at least most of them have been on the forum for some time now, and they know things to do so that your company will be properly promoted here, they know the participants that they will be selecting to promote your company for maximum impact.

But if you choose to promote your company yourself, it’s not a bad idea. We have seen companies that decided to manage their signature campaigns, and they really did well, so it’s just left to you to decide on what you want.

They can as long as newbies knows how everything works here, from creating an announcement thread from knowledge of the ranking and grading here, like trust feedback.
Stake.com's manager is in house, and there are some campaigns in the past where the managers were in house, but its better to have a trusted manager and a long time manager to manage their campaign because they are familiar with the posters here and they can make a necessary adjustment when the need arises.

rank doesn't matter if you want to run a signature campaign, what matters is if you can pay for the campaign and if the company you are running a campaign for is not a scam.

to be honest you can oversee it yourself but it is always better to have someone with experience manage the signature campaign so they can hire competent participants and run the campaign smoothly.

A campaign manager will have more credibility, however, there is nothing wrong with an official representative running a campaign as long as the funds are escrowed to gain the trust of the community and to give participants no reason to think that they might not get paid for the promotion they will carry out.

You can check this thread to find trusted escrow services on the forum and use the services of one of the users from there:

Few Trusted Escrow Providers
There was when much credibility was needed to launch a signature campaign. That period, new accounts get little/no attention when they launch a campaign and may even risk of being tagged when they refuse to use escrow.

But today, it's no longer a big deal because there are too many people willing to promote any project for a peanut. So, if a newbie launches a campaign without using an escrow, it is just a one week risk by people who will apply to see whether or not they will be paid at the end of the week.

You and your company can run a signature campaign in this forum. You guys are highly welcome. There are no restrictions for new users to run camping; they need an account in this forum to be able to do that. According to the forum features, a newbie account cannot add an image, so you will need to buy a copper membership to permit you to add an image to your thread.
The reason why the reason for option of hiring a manager is because the managers are used to the forum, and they have run several campaigns in the forum, so they have experience and they will know how to select the right members for your campaign promotion. But if you have manger, your manager can still come and run the campaign, he just need to follow rules and regulation governing the forum.

(since Dms are restricted)
Not all dms are restricted here. There are users who restrict newbies from sending them private messages but I will not think those promoting a service here will have that enabled as their clients can be from any forum rank.

To answer your initial question, you can host your signature campaign if you feel you have enough experience to do so and plan to escrow the funds. As a newbie, users will not be interested to join your campaign except you proof you hold funds for payment and escrow that with a reputable member.

You can definitely do that. It’s a better choice to hire a manager if you are new to the forum’s rules, as these managers can ease and ensure everything runs smoother. also if you want to run it yourself, make sure that all tasks, like paying the participants are handled in a timely way. Besides that, it's important to choose good and reliable members for the campaign and setting clear rules to avoid spammers.

The platform does not hold or restrict  newbie account from doing a signature campaign but what is the guarantee that the newbie would do a signature campaign without having issues with platform members as they have no expertise and experience how campaigns are being managed on this platform. There was an incidence few months ago which occurred in this platform were a company created an account and decided to conduct a campaign themselves but it didn't go down well with them as they got it very tough due to the unprofessional conduct of the team member who managed the campaign.

I would advise you up Se this thread as an announcement thread then contact a signature campaign manager to run your campaign for your organisation as they would handle it professionally without any issues. There are many managers here who can do that for your organisation. But if you insist on running it yourself and your ways, it would be nice you seek for an escrow to hold the funds as that would give members the confidence to participate in your campaign otherwise you would find it very difficult here to to cope.

As a newbie, you can do just about anything like the regular folks except, there are certain restrictions that exists due to your rank and that has got nothing to do with signature campaigns. Such restrictions includes but not limited to;

• Wearing signatures and avatars, you don’t have that space open for you
• posting of pictures which isn’t readily available until your of the member rank (you would need that to give your thread a face and better look for appreciation)
• Sending of pm (private messages) which has a limited number and most users don’t allow newbie pms
• You have a time limit in between posting
And a few more.

This along with the reputation of your account of which, a newbie obviously have none as reputation are built over time, accounts for some of the reasons why hiring managers becomes necessary. Projects are given importance due to the credibility of its management team. Some of the reputable managers of the forum remains; Icopress, CryptopreneurBrainboss, Hhampuz, Little Mouse, Upgrade00, AB de Royse777 and a good number of others too, I don’t exclude me though, could give you some canceling or even aid you in the management if you want. With that on the side, you could check out the managers above for guidance if you ain’t sure of how to go about it.

Alternatively, to by pass some of the restrictions as above, you could get a Corper membership by following the instructions from this post.

By popular demand, newbies can now pay to have some of their restrictions lifted. If you pay the fee, you become a Copper Member, and you can post images. That's the main point of this: allowing newbies to post images. Additionally (and these might change depending on how things go), Copper Members currently have these bonuses:

- Some of the same permissions as Member-rank members, such as reduced signature styling restrictions. (But none of the PM-related restrictions are currently lifted, such as the style limit or per-hour PM limit.)
- Your "you must wait ____ seconds between ___" counter is reduced by 75%. So if you're naturally of Newbie rank, you only have to wait 360-75% = 90 seconds.

If you paid an "evil IP" registration fee, then whatever you paid (in BTC terms) is subtracted from the upgrade fee. If you paid a registration fee a long time ago, you might even get a free Copper Membership due to the increase in BTC price. Just visit the link at the bottom of this post to check whether you have it already.

I am aware that for most people the benefits of this membership are pretty lame. This membership is only intended to fill a specific niche; if you don't need it, don't buy it. It is not intended to be the lower-cost Donator/VIP alternative which I've talked about before as a possibility.

I wrote the system so that I can easily add additional paid memberships in the future, but I might not ever do so. Not sure.

You can buy it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

there's nothing wrong bringing a service like a signature campign on the forum. The only issue is with respect to how you want to go about selecting the kind of users that are eligible for the promotion of your campaign such that they wouldn't do so against the forum rule which will downgrade the reputation of your company on the forum.

Campaign managers have experience with other project they've managed and can easily recruit the right set of people that can help promote your product effectively. If maybe your budget for the promotion is not much and you're trying to cut down expenses at the start, you can do thorough research on how to run a campaign on the forum before you officially get started. we wish you good luck on your promotion.

You as a newbie is good to go. Since you've earlier said you've read the guidelines that's cool as though but escrow members including credibility and reputability of handling the campaign is very essential for a well organized project. Be aware.

Any rank can create a signature campaign in forum if everything is according to forum rules with allowed services.
However, it is better to have copper membership to be able to show full image previews in topics.

Yes, a newbie account can host a signature, here's three things you can do to make it easier for you
1. Get a cooper membership account, check here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote and follow the instructions. Copper membership gives you a privilege to post images as a newbie account is not able to..
2. If you have a manager, get someone to help you design your signatures and avater. You can check the service boards..
3. You can get a good manager with skills and experience to help you promote your campaign and manage it very well... Also check the service board.

There is no rank restriction on users who can launch a campaign. If the company believes that the newbie can get the job done, then they can go ahead, but the newbie may have to buy a copper membership rank, to be able to post images if necessary.

However, take note that if the newbie fumbles, the reputation of the service could be in question and even if they decide to change manager then, the damage may already be done, so it may be wise to choose a reputable manager from the off.

Yes, you can host, but it’s always better to use escrow for the funds. There have been too many cases where non-reputable users run signature campaigns, and participants end up not getting paid. Starting with escrow shows you’re serious, and over time, you can manage the funds yourself and pay the participants directly.
