I am a Tor user. I logged into BitcoinTalk with Tor by choosing 'always stay logged in'. Then, by mistake, before I log out, I did a Tor restart for a new Tor identity. This killed the tab with BitcoinTalk session. Now, I have created another session to log in through Tor. When I'll log out from here, will I be logged out from the other session as well? If not, then how do I kill that session, on which I have lost control?

I will share you my personal experience here. I usually log in bitcointalk on my laptop. Once i logged in through my mobile chrome browser as i need to check some thing important. I then logged out from my mobile browser. Later when i reached to my laptop i came to know that my account was logged out on my laptop too and i had to login again.

Remember that i logged on one in my laptop and it kept login in forever unless i logout out myself. So as per my experience, if you log out your bitcointalk anywhere, it will logout you out on all the open sessions.

Once you didn't click the stay loggin there's a designated time that you will get time out, next is if you clear your cache and history in the browser you are using you will automatically log out too, the session will not log out once you login into different devices so you don't need to get worried about, its good too if there another feature for the forum that identify the stay login accounts in that particular device and we can terminate the activity.

I think your question has been answered and maybe the problem is solved.
My experience is exactly the same as most people, when I logout from one of the two devices then all sessions on the other device are also logout. The same thing happens when I'm login via incognito tab, when I logout the other session also logout. TOR or any browser should also be the same, there is no difference.

But what is your problem, do you feel something is wrong or are you just asking because curiosity?

Closing the browser while on incognito or similar only deletes the cookies locally stored on the browser's session. What logs you out of the forum on all other devices is clicking the logout button, since that destroys the cookies on the forum server side (making all your sessions invalid).

But you explicitly said: "logging in and out on one device does not affect login on another device". That's not true. As we mentioned above, when you log out on one device, your session will be terminated on all other devices as well.

You guys are absolutely right.
When I asked if I just closed the browser or if they logged off.

Different ways of working, different results. Each one of us ends up reporting their experience, based on their way of working.

But do you log off or just close the browser?

If you just close your browser window, you haven't actually logged out of your account.

I'm currently on a PC via chrome in incognito mode (as happens almost every day), and I can assure you that when I get home and open my browser it keeps the forum section on.

I usually just close the browser and don't log off.

Same here , FatFork and hosseinimr93 ar right as i tried that also a few times long ago with logging out on my phone effects my PC also.
Thats why i mostly logged in on both devices , but when i login again i have to login on the other device again.
Just closing the Browser and Tab without logging out keeps you normal logged in.

Try it now in any browser, or activate the privacy mode (do not activate cookies). When you log out of any session, this will cause the automatic exit of all browsers that you were entering.
Or is your question about deleting cookies in one of the browsers (Tor) without logging out?

I normally use 3 different devices to access the forum, and logging in and out on one device does not affect login on another device. On my home PC, I always have the section open. And even when he entered via mobile phone or another computer, he does not log off on the home PC.

Are you sure about that? Logging in and logging out on another device are not the same thing.

@hosseinimr93 is right. Every time you log out on one device, your session will be terminated on all other devices as well. I've tried it myself many times.

You are probably wrong.
If you logout from your account in one device, you are automatically logged out from your other devices as well. That's how the forum works and your account can't be an exception.

Read the post made by theymos about this before.

- If you logout on one session, all of your sessions are logged out.

It all depends on the cookies on the site and stored in the browser. If that information is deleted, like what happened when you logged out of Tor, the login to the site also disappears. So you don't need to do anything.

If you are using normal browser and you logout, your Bitcointalk account would be automatically logout of other devices. When you use Tor and you logout, you will be logged out of other devices as well.

The benefit Tor browser can offer you is that if you did not logout your account, Tor browser do not keep logs and you will have to login again anytime you want to use Tor, which means it will not log you out of other devices, but you will need to always login again when using Tor.

Yes, whether you are using TOR or not, soon as you hit the logout button.

If I got your question right, you want to log out of browsing on the other device while logging in on a different device? The easiest thing to do  (from my own perspective) would be to change your password on the new device and it will render the other log in inaccessible. It will turn invalid password or username.
The easiest way to do is, logged in only in a private window tab, because when you close this tab, your current bitcointalk session on that browser will be destroyed without destroying the other session on your other device thus you will still be logged. If this is what OP is trying to ask.

When you log out anywhere from your bitcointalk, all of your session will be logged out too. You don't have to do anything else to kill that session. I have my account logged in my pc where I don't usually log out but when I log in from mobile, I make sure log out when I ended the forum usage. It logged out me from PC too.
Did I get your question right?
