I have heard some people suggest the Edge iOS Wallet. But if I remember correctly, it's a custodial wallet. If that is not a concern to you, give it a look.
https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/mobile/ios/edgewallet/
The above site also has a link to the source code on GitHub.

I don't remember seeing any scam accusations against this wallet. Does anyone know of such cases?
The wallet features a 2FA option and a KYC free crypto > fiat exchange.

I personally haven't seen a single scam accusation of that wallet, but I know a person that was previously a user of that wallet and he complained of a good number of instances where Edge wallet was sort of "down" or something, with him being unable to view transactions through the app. Not sure if it was a problem on his side or Edge's side, but yea.

With that said, if you're on iOS then BlueWallet[1] is probably the best I've used. I've also tried a few wallets and BlueWallet was what I ended up sticking with for hot wallet usage.

I had it installed already. But what I missed out was that BlueWallet is not a multi-coin wallet. But, regardless, I think I'm keeping this one.

Yea it's Bitcoin-only. I just assumed that you only needed BTC because the topic was only focused on BTC.  Grin

You can just continue using BRD if you needed the altcoin support though, haven't had any problems with it as far as I remember.

To those who have been using BRD wallet on their iPhone, am I missing something? Where can I find my SegWit address? Or are they still supporting it?

they have supported bech32 since 2018. go to preferences > bitcoin settings and toggle from legacy to segwit.

Finally! Thank you for this. Already enabled.

Somehow, BRD made it look like it is a big deal to enable SegWit, or something which users will have to deal with a certain amount of caution. Well, it is still in Beta but apart from making SegWit just an option for users to switch on or not, they are also giving out some kind of warnings and an additional button to confirm that you have really decided to enable it and that you're informed of its irreversibility.

With that said, if you're on iOS then BlueWallet[1] is probably the best I've used. I've also tried a few wallets and BlueWallet was what I ended up sticking with for hot wallet usage.

Why are you using this wallet? I never heard of it.

it's recommended on bitcoin.org---high scores on all counts. i tested it on my iphone recently and i think it has very good UI. as mentioned above, BRD is a rebrand of bread wallet, which has been well reputed for years. i would recommend it, especially to those looking for a secure mobile multi-coin wallet.

I appreciate BRD's sending options but nothing can beat a customized fee.

yes, depending on your needs. i have found that simple priority fees are crucial for p2p trading and BRD's fee estimation is top notch, better than other mobile wallets i've used. when i'm on my mobile, my transactions are urgent. when i'm at home i use PC, so electrum + custom fee based on https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/ is optimal.

Yeap, they sure have been existing for a while now hence their good reputation and why their wallet has been recommended a lot throughout the years.

Also, good news, iOS is about to have a privacy-focused Bitcoin wallet. It's basically Wasabi Wallet for mobile  Smiley (though still in early Alpha) https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5291798

Thank you very much for this!

Just had a quick scan over the wallet's features. I might go for BlueWallet instead of BRD. I appreciate BRD's sending options but nothing can beat a customized fee. And I've also read that they are currently offering, while further developing, Lightning wallets. It seems interesting. I'm looking forward to a little experimentation on the Lightning Network.

As to your good news, I'll leave it up to the future. It sounds really interesting for iOS users but I'll probably wait for it to get past the testing stage.

But I'm sure you've already heard of Bread wallet? This is them rebranding. They've been in the business for more than half a decade. I've often seen them ranked among the most trusted mobile wallets on iOS. I guess they've pretty much maintained a good record overall.

Anyway, Electrum is not on iOS. Samourai is only a Bitcoin wallet. I'm also considering Coinomi.

But I was interested with BRD's economy, regular, and priority options in sending Bitcoin. The fees these days are horrible.

You can still get confirmations using 1 sat/byte if you are not in hurry.
It is almost free but they take about 5 days to get confirmed. I made one last week and it worked.

I dont know if brd wallet has the option to customize fees, I think this is very important.

I like coinomi, and it allows you to customize fees and also select which utxo to spend (coin control)

Why are you using this wallet? I never heard of it. And in 2021, 4  years after segwit activation they are still in beta.?
I went to their website and could not find even a llist of supported currencies.

Why don't you use a more secure and known wallet?
There are many good options for segwit in mobile.
A few suggestions:

Electrum, Samourai, Coinomi.

Edit: IF they support segwit, segwit are the addresses starting with 3 or bc1

I have just installed a BRD wallet on my iPhone. Before I did it, I made a little research whether their mobile wallet on iOS is supporting SegWit. From what I've read, BRD is supporting it although still in Beta. However, I cannot find it. When I click receive, I am only provided with a legacy address.

To those who have been using BRD wallet on their iPhone, am I missing something? Where can I find my SegWit address? Or are they still supporting it?

Thank you in advance!
