I don't understand it, that's why I am asking and hoping people who do will educate me. I am not here to bash, if I was I would've left the pool. I just want to make sure.

well it's been asked about a bajillion times in his thread and it's been answered a Bajillion times.

oh well, i guess making a new thread would get you answered asap though

The speed displayed in the your miner is the amount of hashes your GPUs are computing per seconds. Some of these hashes turn out to be low difficulty solutions to the block, and are sent back to your pool. Your speed displayed on the pool is established upon that later part. The frequency at which you find and submit these solutions is subject to fluctuations, so your effective speed on the pool will be within a certain bracket, technically could expect that speed to fluctuate anywhere between +/- 20% your hashing speed, but rest assured, it evens out in the long term.

From the title I was expecting more like "What does Tycho does with the 1.5 BTC he gets at EVERY block found by the pool ?".

Since the pool finds a new block every ~25 minutes…

Bingo. No offense, but the high profit potential of mining bitcoins these days has brought in a lot of non-technical users to this particular part of the forums.

i see a lot of mistrust in the forum, in various threads!
show some trust people, if you don't understand something it doesn't mean that you are robbed or something!

the number showed on deepbit is an average derived from the number of shares you turn in. its an estimate and your sensationalist title for the thread is vile.

I am currently mining with GUIMiner on windows 7. Im running a 6990 at 955mhz gpu clock, 1250 memory clock, power control at +20, temperature is set at 69degrees Celsius.

Gui miner shows me I am mining between 710-780mhash/s

On deepbit, it's constantly showing me my average is between 575-650 mhash/s

Am I being ripped off?
