What really matter isn't the name in real world of crypto, but it's foundation and popularity. The name just follow in contrast with the development of a crypto community that supports the entire system. You'll establish a foundation if you determine those several prospected asset which you think capable of becoming your holdings.
Don't get easily involved with new project that doesn't have legit platforms, because scammers these days is rampantly deceiving us through colorful promises.

In majority, It matters a cool and decent project name will give some first impressions to investors. It gives a positive impact to the projects, but if it sounds like a scam it takes time to build a community and trust but of course facts about the projects is more important. But we have successful projects that started from jokes or meme, like doge coin, It is trading on the most trusted exchange right now binance and has some decent trading volume.

Please there's something I really want to understand about this crypto industry because at times as a newbie in this cryptocurrency industry you might get this wrong by making more mistakes in crypto. Does crypto name really matter before it become successful?
Do you mean the brand of the project "name"? Well, actually it is standard enough. Commonly, the name will not give big influence on the success of the crypto projects. It is more influencing the ideas of the projects, the team, products, and also exchanges, and more also about basic information. More important is how the project can really ensure the people to be interested in their project, then giving proof that they are legit enough by providing the trusted exchange and also still manage the development of the projects even the project has been ended. many failed projects are stopped after the crowdfunding ends and they don't care about what happen to their coins on the market. here, you need to pay attention to it. if you have good project progress and development after listing on exchanges (moreover the real use project), many more people will be more interested in the project, whatever the name. But, it doesn't mean that you can use a very complicated name that is very difficult to remember. Just be normal.

Does crypto name really matter before it become successful?

In my opinion, name of a coin doesn't mean anything and real investors won't bother about the name of the coin. They only bother about the technology behind the coin, that is most important too. Apart that bitcoin, etheruem etc have been popular but the value of the coin, the technology made the names popular. So it is the technology that matters.

I didn't do any calculations of new projects without visiting their websites. Suppose, one project is confirmed that Binance exchange listed confirm. You will like the name of these projects, because of your expectations. Without a strong team, new projects could die with a good name.

I assume that you are referring to the top listed coins in the market whos names are already known in the public just like Bitcoin, ETH, and many others. But if you are looking for projects that have been back-up by know exchanges, well, that it also matters a lot because a chance to succeed is really close to it than for those who have nothing.

Truly it matter a lot and why noobs mostly have their losing ends because they have been trick by those broken promises that mostly we heard from new projects. Of course, it gets attention but looking its market potential, you won't surprise either that it never looks like that.

I don't understand what you mean? Crypto name? First, those crypto that are making good gains or have been in the market for too long obviously established their name already. Ethereum for example, but for those new projects that are popping out, they need to build their reputation first. So for newbies, like you, it's better to invest on altcoin that is in the top 10-20 because they've been confirmed by the community and they are already successful in the crypto space.

the success of a project depends on the team and the project developer itself, so I don't think the name of the project will be a serious problem, usually the name of the token depends on the concept of the project itself, such as the Example HOM Token symbolizing home property. so I guess you can redefine the name of a project.

There's the same thread opened just a couple of days ago. The title and content are exactly the same so I think that's your account too. No need to create another one.

Anyways, if you are looking at some discussion related to that, just head over on that thread and locked this one. It's now composed of several replies.

Yes it does. Bitcoin is the most successful coin on the market and many shitcoins that used it became valuable and allowed dev teams to make money.

Check out how many clones of Bitcoin are there. Coins like Bitcoin gold, diamond, god and similar all had their peaks of popularity and someone made money on that peak.

Dogecoin is another example of a coin that became popular through its name not the protocol or real world use.

name usually matter if you are talking in terms of a project. somehow it dictate the perception that people have towards your project either to be a promising one, scammy or average. but if it were to be for individual members then you can call yourself whatever you like.

In my opinion and experience, the name for the project does not matter, but the quality of the product and if the product is good and meets the vulnerable need is enough for recognition. In relation to brand and marketing, an easy and associated name for some easy and eye-catching word makes a difference in terms of adoption and sales.

It will depend on the strategy of the developer and his team.

I think an eye catchy name is just an added advantage to boost the project not that it is the main reason for a project success, because when you remove a beautiful or sweet name from a shitcoin it will still remain shit, the main drive of a project success is the technical aspect of it, the utility which is being constantly stressed, once a project have the right ingredient to succeed, a good name plays little or no role on it.
There are lot of project with not so good name but they are doing very well as well, name is not a criteria for project success.

I think it’s matter. If not why people buy premium domain for their project? They can try alternative one but they don't, sometimes they buy a premium domain with large amount.

So first you see what type of your project. What is the product actually. Then name should be similar like the product and suitable for all. So crypto or non crypto  world name is the fact in both IMO.

Everything comes from nothing. It means cryptocurrency start without any follower that's why crypto finds a way on how to attract people to engage in crypto. Cryptocurrency  become popular later on during the time that it was recognized by someone and begin to spread to many people.

when you say name, are you talking about names of projects already running or you are talking about projects that are yet to startup and thinking of what name to call their project.
If you are considering name to use as a startup then i do not see the name as having any influence over the project except in rare cases but in terms of names of already running projects i think Yes. the reason is when certain names comes to your ears you already hae a mental picture of what they do and are capable of. e.g. Binance.

I think cryptocurrency has to gain popularity in the community before it can be introduced. However, before getting acquainted with bitcoin crypto currency, there were many problems. Alternative crypto currency shows that there are some cryptos that are popular and took a long time to get acquainted. I don't think you know these things. In order to be any new cryptocurrency, it is important to have Mission, Purpose, Uniqueness, Vision, Development and future development. I don't think there is any other way. But I am much more interested in learning something new. I want to know and understand about everything in the world of cryptocurrency. I think you posted this because I have this kind of desire.
