I'm guessing the revenue generated from gambling has a higher marketing value than that of a Forex exchange
Once a campaign finds its targeted userbase it can abandon the task since it has a presence out
With a gambling site it goes a lot longer since new people will always come to gamble with Forex the smarter interested users will see it after a few weeks time, so maybe FX will come back again in a few months to get more users hopefully Smiley.

I've often wondered this myself and the "primedice quality thread"  was recently highjacked to this topic as well.  I think the recent limits that are imposed on numbers of members and maximum payouts suggest that they can work really well if the posters do not abuse the campaign.

As far as Primedice goes the cost to Stunna seems favorable to the costs and coverage he would get if he purchased official ads on this site via the ongoing auctions.  After all, those only appear once per 20 posts and his ads can appear in every post in the thread.

An equally interesting question is why does the forum allow signature ads, since they are essentially competition for them?  I'm very glad they do, but it is interesting.

Primedice was giving upto 2.4btc a month for posts and you wonder how much money he must be making through his campaign?

I am damn sad for FXOpen to end their signature-campaign so soon. Meanwhile I was wondering if the sig-ad work for their owner?

1,My answer is "Yes", But why so many advertiser quit the sig-ad? I think it's because they haven't participants, maybe advertising with 30+ members is not enough ,PD is the longest running sig campaign because they have more than 100 members, even signature will cost much money.

2,I don't think advertiser will get a lot of user registered from "clicking the sig link" if they are running a sig campaign, what will sig campaign bring to a company is people will know the company or their product and sig campaign will keep their name on the people's sight.

This is my views ,how about you?
