Yes, incentivizing posting is totally disallowed in the altcoin sections, and in the other sections it must be confined to Games and Rounds.

Okay, thanks. Just to confirm, that means signature campaigns that require a post in the site's ANN thread (that is not in the Games and Rounds section) to get paid are not allowed, correct?

Well I think it was just because it fell under the alt coin giveaway rule, but personally I don't think it should be permitted to make people post in a specific thread because it's a violation of the one bump per 24 hours rule. It's also essentially forcing many users to make a post they probably have absolutely no interest in making thus increasing the chances of a hollow shitpost.

Theymos has this post in the Altcoin Discussion section, stating you cannot give people any incentive to post in your threads, and I'm wondering if that applies to Bitcoin sections. One of my altcoin campaigns had it's thread trashed as we had something that broke that rule, and for now I've removed the requirement for the bitcoin paying campaigns I manage. I'd like to get clarification to whether it's against the rules or not.

Most giveaway threads are no longer allowed in the Alternate cryptocurrencies sections. From now on, posting or replying to such threads could result in being banned. Existing threads will be locked.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.

Seems like paying Bitcoin to post in an altcoin thread isn't allowed, and paying altcoins to post in an altcoin thread isn't allowed. Nothing has happened for paying Bitcoin to post in a Bitcoin thread yet, but I'd prefer not to risk it.
