470 with 8gb vs 570 with 4gb?

Which would you choose?

470 with 8 gb for sure. Got few of them.. ( Sapphire ), flashed and all are still working great (knock knock on the wood). The best card in my opinion for mining is still RX 480 8gb (red devil). Before the DAG increase it did 30 mh/s on ETH, with this DAG it's still doing 27,6.. On other coins with lower DAG it does 30-31 mh/s with 90W from the wall.

What about dual mining? Does the 5xx series pull ahead?

To the best of my knowledge they should be more or less dead even if both are tweaked and modded. If anything the 500 series just uses more power at default settings and is a bigger pain in the arse to get 6+ GPUs working on Windows with drivers etc.... I'd buy Rx 470s every single time if I could get equal access to both of them at a similar price.

I think it depends on how you use RX470 for mining. If you would do the mining only with ethereum and won't add troops to mining was certainly everything will be destroyed. Because POW is derived from the system of the higher, or competition to do mining higher so that if we don't add it is definitely not going to have a future. But if you are using rx470 for the purposes of mining at some coin that still has things pretty much I think it still has a very good future

The RX 470 has a future - for now. If you intend to mine Ethereum keep in mind that 470's with 4 GB will become obsolete for ETH as soon as the DAG size crosses the 4 GB barrier which is bound to happen around September 2019.

^ yes it's very good at that price if you can find them. Prices and availability do seem to be getting better bit by bit and hopefully will continue on that route as we approach the fall months.

The RX 570 4GB at less than $250 is the most profitable (new) GPU, with the quickest ROI, you can buy.

Yes it still has a purpose and future. They are hard to find (new anyways) since the current gen is now 570 (although they are basically the same GPU). If the prices on them were not 50% higher then they should be we would probably have another rig or two running them, but with the crazy markups that most places sell them for it makes other GPUs look more attractive most of the time.
