Just download any lite client like electrum. Simple and quick to instal and you don't need to download the blockchain so just import your wallet and you're good to go.

I wonder whether you resolve your issues! Using blockchain.info is the most quickest way to access your coins. Do you use blockchain.info in the same IP or computer? Probably you can change the browser  to try to connect blockchain.info or another IP address ? Once you connect to it and access your coins, you can send the coins to a paper wallet for the security reasons! But I have to say blockchain.info wallet is great, you can keep small amounts of Bitcoin there for daily spending!

Can't seem to understand what you meant by "tried with blockchain.info" , this should fix your problem https://blockchain.info/wallet/import-wallet
you don't need an account , it will create after you import

I tried that very same address. I put in the captcha, I imput the password, it "loads" for a moment and always responds with "connection rejected", or something like that. So now I'm stuck.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/35ohpn/trying_to_import_a_dat_wallet_onto_blockchain/ so you should either try contact the blockchain support like they said , or try also what someone suggested , download Bitcoin Core , put the wallet.dat on the right directory while it's sync with the network , dump the private keys using commands on console and you can import them to Electrum or any other wallet later (you can do it for blockchain.info too but if you do that , don't keep them for too long , not secure to keep coins online)

That could work but you shouldn't do that. When you give your private keys to a 3rd party website that means you lose all security. Your private keys could be hacked/stolen/seen by random people.
You never know who else can control your keys.

I lost my computer's charger, and I need my bitcoin. I have my file backed up, but I want a more immediate solution than downloading all of the blockchain. I tried with Blockchain.info, but all I get is "connection denied". Then I tried leading some bitcoin, resulting in a moralizing person placing negative trust on my account, hence I have no collateral...

So I really need to know which program to download to be able to import my btc (currently in the wallet.dat file) there, and buy a charger with them.
