You need a motherboard with PCI-E slots for mining. That board is so old it only has PCI slots which is NOT compatible with PCI-E GPU's. The cheapest new motherboard for up to 6 cards is the Biostar TB85 or H81. The board with a LGA 1150 CPU and 4GB DDR3 should be <$200. Or you can read this thread for other ideas.

No Pcie slots and a max of 2Gb ram...

Personally I would not do anything with this... just my .02

Hello guys
I had this old system in my home for a long time, was wondering if I can install gpu in it and start mining.
Mobo : Intel desktop board d845epi/d845gvsr
RAM : Currently 512mB, but till how much can it be upgraded?
GPU : Will any GPU work with this mobo?
CPU : Intel pentium 4 2.40 ghz/1m/533 sl88f
