I think that Huawei(and this lady in particular)) is from Taiwan.OP,you should distinguish China and Taiwan.
That news has nothing to do with the USA/China trade wars.On the other had,I don't like that Trump policy about sanctions against everyone, who doesn't obey to the USA.It looks like dictatorship to me.

But Huawei is a Chinese company, they're based in Guangdong. So even though she may be Taiwanese the knock on of her arrest is that Huawei suffer and that can be said as an attack on China. I don't believe that's the case but just explaining.

This problem must be complicated. I think this must be a trade war. Both the US and the federal government are afraid of the revival of the giants of the East. This high-tech activity shows that free trade is only applicable to developing countries. Developed countries usually want them to always develop, which is usually a normal person's idea. But fair competition is a virtual existence in the world. The arrest of women in Canada is alarming and some are opposed to free trade. If the world enters protectionism, then humanity will have a devastating war. Only cooperation and win-win is the future of mankind. The so-called state is only the language of politicians. In fact, human beings are themselves a family. Politicians who oppose free trade are stupid.

We are looking at things at a major plot point because media makes things so much worse and bigger than what they are but we are missing out on small stuff. Do we know why she was arrested ? It suppose to be about selling things to Iran which is illegal in USA because of sanctions. Hence, it means if the Chinese wanted to make money by selling stuff to Iran and and not care about the sanctions that USA put into place than they were willing to do something illegal.

I understand Huawei is a big company and china doesn't want any of its citizens to be prisoned in there but in a normal case if a regular boring citizen of china went to USA and killed someone they would be jailed too, both illegal both dangerous, bot have consequences. Just because it is not murder but breaking of sanctions doesn't mean its less illegal.

I am fairly sure I read in the news this morning that she's being charged in Iran so I doubt it has anything to do with the US. Especially given their fractured relationship with Iran. Also considering how this news contributed to the downfall of many stocks, including major US stocks it would have backfired pretty spectacularly if the US were behind it.

Huawei CFO Wanzhou Meng also deputy chairwoman and the daughter of Huawei’s founder  was arrested on December 1,

Meng's arrest will immediately heighten tensions between Washington and Beijing just days after the world’s two largest economies agreed on a truce in their growing trade conflict. It will, or at least should, also prompt any US execs currently in China to think long and hard if that's where they want to be, say, tomorrow when Xi decides to retaliate in kind.

Somebody get mad in USA
If all that will be not clarify very fast we will see war between China and USA
USA stock are going further down
it will be also real test for bitcoin
Will be bitcoin neutral to all that rumor
