Online wallets are bad (lost my doge at Dogemas).

As far as I know, syncing the wallet is the only way right now.

No IT IS a lite wallet.  Was released a few days ago....   It's a port of Multibit from Bitcoin

The OP seemed to want to get away from having spending many hours downloading the blockchain, not offline storage of doge coins.

Thanks

There was a zipped blockchain download available from the link below until recently

http://doge.rstreefland.com/

However, the page recently stated the service would be suspended for two weeks. Unfortunately, the link to the page does not work now, but maybe it will be working again soon.

I'm not sure if the zipped blockchain download was safe. I tried asking here but never got an answer. Do some research on it's safety before using it if you find a download.

^ this is not a lite wallet. putting coins in there is very risky. look into what is called a paper wallet if you want to keep funds safe

Is there a possibility of downloading files instead of synchronise this for ages? I noticed there are only 2 files getting bigger, blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat so maybe downloading would work, but if yes then where can i download those synchronised files? Thanks in advance.
