You can just use minerd miner to mine DOGE, it supports scrypt and you'll have no problems.

There's no specialist hardware for mining dogecoin as such. Because dogecoin is a Scrypt based coin it can be mined effectively using GPU's like ati 280x. You can use this same hardware for any other scrypt based coin mining.

Here's a website that compares different hashrates over different ati cards.

Thank you, odolvlobo. Just because something is a joke doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed! ^_^

Doge is big joke.

People pay a lot of money to listen to comedians tell jokes, too.

Dogecoin was MADE to be a joke. Honestly, that's the main reason I like it! I understand money is serious, but I feel that life should be ENJOYED. Money is a big part of people's lives. If it's not fun, then what's the point?

Are graphics cards the only option right now? There's no way to enhance the graphic card you already have?

I understand that dogecoin is different from bitcoin at a very basic level, and I've read up a little on dogecoin mining, but is there mining hardware for dogecoin? I expect that the hardware for bitcoin would be different because it's based off of something else, but I have not found and hardware for Dogecoin mining. Tips, anyone?
