So much thread about Doge coin already. I wonder if this bunch of Dogecoin shill thread is made by signal group that enter today or just a coincidence. Dogecoin already has established exchange. Coinbase listing is obviously not there priority. Doge coin need a serious adaption by company. Right now. Most of the holders are whales that waiting for the big opportunity to dump their bags. I highly suggest to be cautious on entering on dogecoin especially if you buy just because you FOMO.

Lol, you calling me a shill or part of a signal group?

I don't think you have use Dogecoin in your life as crypto enthusiast that's why you sad blah blah blah... What serious adoption of company? Is bitcoin need to be adopted by a serious company as well? Of all the people who commented on my thread, you are the only one who really don't understand where Dogecoin come from and what is it right now.

DOGE is one of my favorite coins that I still hold today. DOGE is not just a "meme" coin, but DOGE is widely used to arbitrate between exchanges, because of low fees and not too fast price movements. if DOGE listing on Coinbase will be good news, I am sure it will be listing soon, because DOGE is one of the best coins in my opinion.

I'm a gambler and love Dogecoin as another alternatives, specially if bitcoin tx fees are soaring.
Yep, that's exactly why doge has advantages over bitcoin, not to mention that since the price is so cheap you can deal with whole coins.  That's a psychological thing and not a practical one, but I bet there are a lot of people who would rather bet 50,000 doge than 0.0003BTC, not to mention that depositing a small amount of doge doesn't cost you nearly as much as sending bitcoin to a casino (or anywhere else).

I've always liked dogecoin but have rarely owned a significant amount of it, because it just isn't a good investment, and I don't gamble much.  In my opinion it's very underrated.  The devs really ought to give it a good rebranding and get away from its meme origins, but otherwise it's a great coin.

Even if we would reach the mass adoption, what place would take Doge? I can understand that cryptos like ETH, EOS or NEO would be used for payments, other altcoins for other industries like real estate, travelling and so on, but in my opinion there is no place for Doge in the real world.

for now many people have used doge as an alternative to sending funds. and there are several online gambling sites using doge, this is one of the many cases of using doge. maybe not a mass adoption, but doge still has hope for it. doge cannot be compared to the Dapps project because they both have different goals. but try to compare with similar projects, you will see doge by being active and having users and fans every in the crypto community.

Seeing the development of the doge, I came to think of the coins that people say as "meme" coins actually have active developers. but why do many altcoins have more important goals but are not very focused on their development. isn't this reversed, those who make new projects today only want money from investors, and don't want to survive in the crypto market. doges are not like that, they are consistent in their development. so I really like this coin, and I'm also one of the users of dogecoin. for the doge development team, continue your hard work. you are on the right path.
These 2 developers are not very active in developing Doge, the reason why Dogecoin survives because of its community, cheap, fast and distributed not because they have active developers. It always has been like this, there is no right path for Dogecoin because it is created as a meme. Do not overestimate it but also do not underestimate it.

I don't expect much growth in price and adoption for this coin but they've some a long way from being just a meme coin. I'm surprised that they're still around to be honest and kudos to them for outlasting many other early cryptos. I guess many people still finds value in them like the faster confirmation and cheaper transaction fees compared to bitcoin as you mentioned.

You are right. Doge has hang around for quite a lomg time and has never dropped a quality one bit. One of the best Coins with the cheapest transfer fees out there. Its the largest community coin i know and i wont be surprised if coinbase chooses to list it based on this merit just like Binance did. I do hope they can be more than a meme coin though and advance technologically too

Exactly, they've grown so well that gamblers prefer dogecoin because fees are low and faster as well. So they can still exists in this market and won't simply disappear. As far as listing though, probably we will see them listed Coinbase. I mean they are still in the radar for some investors and we don't know, maybe it can also enjoy the support later when go on a bull run next year. But I'm glad that dogecoin still has the reputation now as not just a meme coin.

It's because of the community always building the hype of this coin and it still survive until now even the coin itself is doesn't have anything special compared to other coins. I think many crypto people love dogs so they use dogecoin for like tipping purpose or just for collecting. I'm sure the growth of this coin won't big and just like you said it's just meme coin. But if the community build the hype and the whales are supporting this coin this coin's price could be booming even it's a just so so coin

There's no more hype is this coin, I mean they have been in the market, withstand their initial released and as the OP have said, they used to be the "Meme coin" here. They have grown so much already, crypto enthusiast knows what this coin is and now taking advantage of it. Dogecoin might not be big, but they will definitely stay in the market thru ups and down and will still have a purpose as compare to the almost 2000 altcoins that we have.

most exchange listing (specially the big decent exchanges) is not up to the developer!  the only thing that will would make these exchanges list these coins is if they can see their high volume and be sure that they can keep that volume up. otherwise they will never add it no matter how much they beg them.

Dogecoin isn't going to be the next "big thing"(top coin/altcoin)in the cryptocurrency network, but that doesn't mean they should not try to grow and develop, at least for those who are already holders of the coin and those who use it for day trading.

There are people who use and hold Dogecoin, as well as enjoy whatever benefits(advantages) they gain from it, it would only be comforting for them, if the developers of the coin have plans for it, plans to get listed on better exchanges, plans that would reflect on the price of the coin. There are so many altcoins, and yes Dogecoin may not hold any admirable position among them, but if they are trying then it's a good sign.

The team behind the project is really doing well to make sure this token doesn't die off and that's applaudable. Overly, dogecoin has been seen in many places from casino games to faucets and lotteries. If they can ensure dogecoin being listed on coinbase, that will do well for the token and as well boost the confidence of holders and the project in general.

Doge coin have one practical usebility, they are fast and cheap for transferring money. It is good to hear that the developers are still working on the project. Recently I have seen many Bitcoin casinos accepting Doge coins, which is a good sign.

No one minds loosing 1000 doge 😀😜

Dogecoin Interview: Discussing Updates, Exchange Listings, and Future Plans With DOGE Core Devs

Blokt spoke with two leading Dogecoin developers, Ross Nicoll and Max Keilier, in an exclusive interview to get the details on the latest developments occurring in the DOGE ecosystem.

Quote
Dogecoin was listed on Binance this year, do you see a Coinbase listing on the horizon?

We’ve gone through the Coinbase listing documents, and they require a lot of structure we don’t have, so at the moment, it’s not on our roadmap. It’s an unfortunate situation that despite cryptocurrencies being designed to be decentralized, being an actually decentralized project seems to confuse a lot of companies in the space.

That said, it would be great to see Dogecoin listed, and if we can help Coinbase with this, I’d love to hear from them. Obviously, Dogecoin is in the Coinbase Wallet app, and I’m hoping that’s a good sign.

Dogecoin has a fixed inflation rate of 5.256 billion newly created coins each year. What are your thoughts on this, as many cryptocurrencies are promoted as being deflationary?

I know there’s a vocal group that dislikes this, but to me, this is fundamentally core to Dogecoin. I think many people miss that we’re not founders, and Dogecoin had no pre-mine, so the current developers have had no better opportunity than anyone else to stockpile. What I mean is if we were in this to make money, it would be much easier to work on a cryptocurrency that already has a profit model, than try reinventing Dogecoin.

So currently, Coinbase listing is not on their priority but I think it will be listed soon. We all know that Dogecoin was used to be a 'meme' coin.

But it seems that developers are still active behind the scene and keeps on rolling new releases and fixing bugs. I'm a gambler and love Dogecoin as another alternatives, specially if bitcoin tx fees are soaring. So let's see how it goes, I think they will remain in the cryptosphere no matter what.
