Hey all, I'm having a problem with my wallet in windows 7.
Installed it a couple days ago, sync'd it and it was all good but
then it stopped showing on screen.
Basically, it's running, I can see it in the system tray.
If you right click the icon in the system tray you get a menu:
Show/Hide is the first option, but it won't show. All other options
do work but the wallet itself wont show.
It's like stuck in permanent Hide mode.
I did reboot. I did uninstall and re-install wallet.
My .conf file is as above posts suggest.
How Bizarre... How Bizarre..

Can't remember where I saw this.
Copy/paste this code into dogecoin.conf file in the wallets' folder.

rpcuser=doge
rpcpassword=wow
addnode=67.205.20.10
addnode=162.243.113.110
rpcport=22555
server=1
daemon=1

Good job shibe!

OP, make a new text file called dogecoin.txt in C>Users>PC Name>App DATA>Roaming>Dogecoin folder

Paste this code above inside it.

Save the file as dogecoin.conf

I've just downloaded the 1.4.1 wallet (Windows), deleted the old blockchain, have added the above entries to dogecoin.conf file, but only have a single active connection - with 38900 blocks remaining.

Does anyone have some other/better nodes that I could add?

I downloaded the whole weekly block chain, and it seems to be syncing now.

Please help I want to buy dogecoin but the coinedup exchange does not load, so slow.
Wallet is not syncing for me either, this is bad

In the folder containing your wallet application, copy the dogecoin.conf file paste it into

Code:
C:\Users\{USER}\AppData\Roaming\DogeCoin

If you don't have one, you can make one.  Open notepad and enter the following:

Code:
rpcuser=doge

rpcpassword=wow

rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.*.*
addnode=67.205.20.10

addnode=95.85.29.144

addnode=162.243.113.110

addnode=146.185.181.114

rpcport=22555

server=1

daemon=1

Then restart the wallet.

C>Users>PC Name>App DATA>Roaming>Dogecoin folder
Do not see an App DATA section in my users to PC name section.

You have to enable viewing of hidden files.  View > Folder Options > Show Hidden Files

My wallet is synced without any additional help from me, but I made a deposit about 6 hours ago and it's still not received in the wallet. Anyone else experiencing such delays ?

Try finding some more nodes at their thread.
Always remember to disable firewall, Nothing was syncing when I had it on xD Tongue

EDIT - add the nodes in the .conf in %appdata%

I already have the conf file, could it be because windows 8 has an "upgraded version" of microsoft essentials installed on my computer?  It doesn't look like it's running in the programs/... :/

C>Users>PC Name>App DATA>Roaming>Dogecoin folder
Do not see an App DATA section in my users to PC name section.

A bit pissed off, as for I opened it, waiting 30 minutes, then disabled firewall, and waited another 30.  No syncing at all; no connections available.  I can sync all the other wallets, bitcoin, litecoin, and other altcoins but why not this one?  I already have the dogecoin.conf file like they said, and I am running windows 8.  Help?
