Have you submitted a ticket to Bitmains support?

Just checking as "This situations was run by dogie, who said to enter a ticket with "Dogie checked, issued one controller card", which I think I've done here." sounds like you just are submitting problem to mining support forum not their support system.

I shall now submit a ticket with bitmain support. Should have asked for further details & clarification on what to do next.

Thanks notlist3d! And if around, dogie, please chime in.

Not a problem! They have some good guys who should be able to help Smiley

Waiting on repy, will update with how it is handled / possible a good fix / etc etc. Hope Bitmain / someone takes notice as this machine has been sent back for this before, noticed the fan cable almost disconnected from control board when it arrived back. Almost seems/feels lke the machine was setup to work as long as X Y and Z remained or didn't come up.

Long story short... downtime. If constantly flying home for visits there is no mining going on. And even Todd Hoffman knows if your wash plant ain't running you aren't making money. And that good old fashioned feeling like you might have a lemon waiting to go bad around the next corner is settling in. Do not want. Bitmain have been rocks thus far.

Are you 100 percent sure you flashed with S5 firmware?

yes

after flashing the latest firmware that is installed on the machines sitting next to it

Checked and double checked that I had the latest firmware from Bitmain for the S5. I flashed the machine after it began screwing the pooch and was uncontrollable/unreliable/etc. This machine is fresh from Bitmain after having the same issues (no 4 chain config was seen) resulting in the board being replaced, miner tested (?), then shipped.

This situations was run by dogie, who said to enter a ticket with "Dogie checked, issued one controller card", which I think I've done here.

Hope to hear back soon, please. Any additional info let me know.

Thank you!

Sent this to dogie regarding an S5 that is acting a fool. Seems machine has gone back to Bitmain once and was returned with a new/fixed contrrol board.

(may as well go all out, happy to edit as necessary)

Machine arrived good to go, but a little bit dusty. Could tell it had been wiped down. The nice bubble wrap bag was folded over on top of the machine which was in the proper foam casing. Wire to the fan was almost disconnected. But clean overall, and fired right up.

Then, the hashing dropped off some, no issues with heat, tried different pools, issue progressed negatively. Eventually had to Power / Reboot / Flash, seems to work fine but is very picky about changing pools. Not stable enough to go pool hopping!

Odd item, after flashing the latest firmware that is installed on the machines sitting next to it, my special guy shows 4 chains rather than 2. Odd!

Screen Capture. Hoping this leads to a new control board and instructions.... and a little something for the effort and to help out our impoverished BTCGuild mining consortium cavrtel corporation Inc. L.L.C. DBA 501(c)3 well...
