If I were you, I would tell a friend that you previously took a risk and bought a certain amount of bitcoin. Since you made your own decision, you cannot force your friend to act in a way that mirrors your actions. But by showing by example that sometimes you need to make decisions on your own, since it is personal money and only the owner is responsible, your friend needs to learn from you.
But as for the price, I don't think you made much money considering you're a recent investor. However, it is always nice to receive some bonuses. However, your interest in investing should guide you to explore further and profit.

You have done what you must do so move on , your friend has His own life to work with
same as you so let two of you have ways in making money and making your future promising ,
maybe you don't know that your friend is doing the same thing with you?how did you know
that he did not invested as well and just fooling you like  what you are doing to him now?

I'm not going to be judgemental here but it's seems so odd for me reading through the post, like how you feel after lying to your so called friend? I'm wondering if I should call this an act of wickedness or selfishness at least one should go for it. perhaps I know the importance of keeping your financial decisions to oneself but does it make sense to pretend to your friend while you already have some stash of Bitcoin. perhaps if you have told your friend that you bought already as at $55kish to 60kish price and he took the stand and courage from you to buy and you both are in profit what would have happened to you?. For me it's a very bad act period. there is no two ways about it.

From my perspective, Bitcoin is not yet done with it's increments so even with the current I believe it will still surge more and more, I'm part of the 100k push-ups challenge by (@OgNasty) and that has given a courage to believe that Bitcoin will hit a 100kish price and for that reason I would say if anyone is convinced enough to take the action of buying at the current price I will encourage the to buy because it will surely yield some profit within the speculated 100kish price touch.

It’s a great security or privacy thing to actually hide your Personal finances from just anybody, this protects you against unwanted questions and  security concerns. Concerning what to do with your friend it will be bad to not allow him benefit from this, so you might as well disguise and tell him that you have been reading about the bitcoin and use that chance to tell him that he can as well buy at just any price but the best method is to DCA and hold for long term. Also advice him that the articles you have been looking into suggests the use of money one can afford to lose.

With that Been said my advice to you and your friend is don’t see bitcoin as a get rich quick scheme and invest just any amount, it has its bears and the bull period so go in with an amount you can afford to lose

With my low mentality in this bitcoin industry, I feel only Investors who has got experiences in this bitcoin industry can uphold the pressures to buy more of bitcoin at this time and not beginners because they could be at some disappointed of not making enough interests as others does due to their time of investing. Although I'm not saying it's late for buying more of bitcoins but it's hard to encourage beginner to buy their first bitcoin at now considering they've not gotten confident knowledges about the bitcoin industry.

Just remember this, everyone here started with 0 knowledge in Bitcoin, we are all beginners at some point. But we are still here after numerous cycles, bear/bulls, lowest low/all time high. So don't think about that you have low mentality, just be positive and just invest what you can afford to lose.

And in no time, you will gain that needed experience to stay in the market, make sound decision with your investment, do DCA and be a long term holder. There is no secret formula here, everyone has shared their experiences. You just have to be mentality tough as Bitcoin investment has it's cycle. So just continue what you are doing, even at this price, you can still invest a little and then see how it grows next year or at least when we hit 6 digit as our top price for this bull cycle.

I had many similar situations. I noticed for myself that there is a category of people who often only dream and do not do it. I have a friend who considers it his duty to tell me about the increase in the price of Bitcoin although he does not own it and every time I I hear him saying that he should have bought it a year, two or five ago. And does he buy after that? Of course not Grin And I’m sure that he will never buy but will continue to dream and count imaginary profits.

Should've told him the half truth at the least my guy, maybe you being quiet about your investment is for the best though, what I've recommended could only be done if you're a close friend though.

I guess that's a testament to the fact that once you decide to invest in bitcoin, just go for it and never doubt, look at you, you've got the money and the profit and you never doubted and look at your friend, now he's imagining the things that could've been, that's not how it should've been if you ask me but your friend doubled back on the decisions and you can't really force them to invest even if you've both planned to do it because then, you're going to shoulder the responsibility when he panic sells and losses a chunk of his investment.

I know that you're venting out OP and let me assure that you've done nothing wrong, what we invest into is a private matter after all, it's on your own volition that you'd want to divulge that information.

It is hard for me to understand that people have the need to share such things as personal finances with other people who are not even family members. It should still be a personal thing, because other people shouldn't know about such things, not only because we can get them to do the same thing as us, but also for personal safety.

@AVE5, $55 000 or even $60 000 is not much cheaper than the current price, so if both of you didn't intend to buy significant amounts of BTC, you can't really talk about a missed opportunity. If you had talked about it 1-2 years ago and you bought it then, you might feel some guilt, but it actually turned out well for you.

I suggest you let your friend do what he wants with his money, and you do the same with your money without anyone else knowing about it.

I may not support lying or deception in this with your friend, it could have been something plain and straights forward that you would have told him right from the first day that you already knew about bitcoin and you have invested, also that he should learn to do that individually and not under a collaborative effort, maybe by then, he might have also been encouraged to invest and have some holdings just as you've done already, because i don't want to believe that your friend was having a bad intention when he first introduced it to you to both benefit in it together.

Good job , because mostly the more talk you are having is the chance of not doing action at all because you will keep yourself from having barricade so what you did here shows that you are a true investor and your friend is just another type of person that most likely an Engineer , who keeps planning but not acting on it lol  Grin Grin

Sometimes ago I and a friend discussed about how we could invest on bitcoin due to how much lucrative we've been hearing about the industry but meanwhile I've already invested before those times. I wasn't so interested about going in further discussion about it again because I already have a decision and already take action in investing on it already. I only played along with the discussion when that my friend brought it up. But time goes by and it died off.
This morning he sent me a text that says GUY, WE FUCKED UP, YOU REMEMBERED WHEN WE DISCUSSED ABOUT INVESTING ON BITCOIN WHEN IT WAS AROUND $55,000 - $60,000? TO GET IT SHORT THE MARKET HAS SUMMED UP TO $73,000 TODAY. THIS WASN'T THAT I DONT HAVE THIS MONEY TO INVEST, ONLY THAT I FEEL I WAS GOING TO INVEST AT MY READINESS AND NOW IM REGRETTING IT. DO YOU THINK IT'S LATE IF WE'VE TO INVEST NOW?

And I replied him that I'm not interested about it for now because I've other things I'm concentrating on.
I don't just want him to know that I've already invested in the bitcoin even before we had the discussion and because I'm not a bitcoin analyst, I couldn't encourage him to invest at this time due to the increment rates in the market.
With my low mentality in this bitcoin industry, I feel only Investors who has got experiences in this bitcoin industry can uphold the pressures to buy more of bitcoin at this time and not beginners because they could be at some disappointed of not making enough interests as others does due to their time of investing.
