May be misunderstanding this, but are renewals for .pn extension domains really $200 a year?

Hi CryptoNames, no not $200 a year.

They are US$100 a year if paid annually, US$10 per month if paid monthly.

Not US$5-10/year type domains, so not suited for use with really low value keywords. For the better keywords which are more likely to attract a premium then it's at a price point that works for anyone delivering a decent value service via the domain.

That's why I've only got what I think are high value crypto domains that I feel have multiple potential development options. Examples of which I outlined in the OP. So if a planned development doesn't work out there are other reasonable uses that the same domain can be put to. So not the type of domain you register just to camp out, you have to have some confidence that there are decent development options which is what I've done.

For reference, some of the bigger domains through there are using it as a url shortener for their brand as well; ESPN (es.pn) and GroupOn (gr.pn) as a couple of examples.

The .pn usage for the Panem (THG) relationship is something that is in live use for their associated fan site. Interestingly, 'coins' appears to be the only reference to currency made in the books from what my limited research time has allowed.  So for any fan related project these may work well around that theme in addition to it being the surname of one of the major characters.  Third film in the trilogy is yet to be release so there will be some continued buzz around that for a while to come in addition to the book fan base.

Unless someone decides to make me a decent offer for the lot then I'm hoping to get something for one or more of the domains and use what I get to help fund development of the remaining ones.

Thanks Cryptonames.  Reworked OP and given some specific ideas for development potential.

Your post is ambiguous.. The crypto-crowd tends to favor things that are straight to the point, with no fluff.

Post the names along with a more concise rephrasing of your question, and you'll likely get some prompt and honest feedback. Hope this helps
