Donal Trump has valid reasons. Muslim countries are not welcoming their so-called Muslim refugees brothers, so why must non-Muslim countries accept them. Moreover these Muslim countries must respect and abide their hosts countries norms.

These muslims living in their host countries must be seen to really condemn such heinous and wicked activities, and really do something about them. Host countries need to exercise their prerogatives.

perfectly agreed... muslim immigrants are doomed to migrate western countiries because of their inhospitable muslim fellas.. but these muslim refrugees must integrate in this western countiries  immediately

Your demand is not enforceable.

But to ban someone based on the religion goes against what America was founded on. Unfortunately, a dumbed down America just wants someone to blame for their hardships other than themselves. The real reason is that Americans are overpaid and lazy.
As a Supreme Court justice once said.  "The Constitution is not a suicide pact."

The real reason is common sense.

Agreed. Could you name a single non-white nation, which is ready to accept massive number of (permanent) immigrants who are not culturally similar to the native population? There are none. Look at Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico. They are not accepting millions of Muslims and Sub-Saharans as the European nations do.

I quite agree with Trump on that issue...

Anyone with an IQ of more than 60 would agree. If you disagree with this, then please name a single country (out of the 250+ United Nations members) which has positive experience with the immigration of Muslims. I could name none. In every single country, they are committing a disproportionate number of crimes, indulging in terrorism, and draining the government treasury by exploiting the welfare loopholes.

Nuke every port in the US, nuke Donald trump, nuke all Muslims
But the way things are going, Trump would eat the nuke and just get stronger...

If he eats the nuke and gets stronger, soon he will get blasted as his activities were more against human feelings.

It's true that they come out with their proposals only after trump does. But I don't know if it's about courage. They are probably waiting for him to go too far. And when he does they take his place. They can say they have the same policies. But are more sophisticated and can present them without sounding too extreme like trump.

Well... if this is their strategy, then I am afraid that it is not working very well. I am following the opinion polls, and according to the latest ones, the support level for Trump among the Republicans has jumped to the highest ever level for the past 12 months time period (mostly at the expense of Jeb Bush, Ben Carson and Fiorina).

It's the type of thing that an unthinking moron would agree with knowing that it would never be permitted to happen. I wonder how they'd feel if they actually saw him attempt to put it into effect. It would suddenly seem a lot less funny.
You mean except for all the times it has been permitted to happen in the past?

Like when Jimmie Carter banned Iranians?

Or with the internment of japanese in ww2, etc. But because it was done in the past isn't an excuse to do it now. It should never have happened. And don't know if the comparison with carter is good. Carter did it in a specific situation as sanctions against iran. And he had specific requirements to stop the sanctions. But trump wants to ban every muslim. Including americans abroad apparently. And he is very vague about how temporary the ban is. Or how it will be lifted. Don't see this coming true nowadays.
Doesn't really sound like you have even a clue as to his specific proposals.

"excuse to do it now?"

So YOU have some kind of higher moral ground, eh?

What if in response, all those Muslim countries ban all US citizens and all Christians from entering their countries? Sounds like Trump's idea could cause a world wide economic meltdown--of course for which he would blame President Obama.

My issue with Muslims is that bringing their laws with them wherever country they enter and they want that country to accept their law.

Now the main difference between Trump and Carson / Cruz is that Trump is very outspoken while the other two doesn't have the courage to speak out whatever they want.

For example don't ted cruz or ben carson agree with much of what trump says? Maybe they just don't want to be left behind in the polls. But that changes the discourse more to the extreme.

Similar to Ted Cruz and Ben Carson, Donald Trump is also an anti-establishment candidate, which puts him at odds with the candidates from the establishment wing such as Chris Christie, Marco Rubio, and Jeb Bush. I don't think Trump will still be relevant in April 2016. Republicans are not that dumb try to put him in the White House. Let him enjoy his time right now. He won't run for president next year.

Don't know about that. Many are tired of the same politicians in power. And now want something new. Maybe fascists like trump. Or maybe socialists or something else. But trump may look different to the other republican candidates but I don't know if he is that much. For example don't ted cruz or ben carson agree with much of what trump says? Maybe they just don't want to be left behind in the polls. But that changes the discourse more to the extreme.

And didn't he say in an interview american muslims could be restricted from returning to the country if they went abroad too? Even members of the military.

Wrong.  The oil fields around here and many other places in the USA are complete, so the only job is to pull the oil out.  What will happen is the ground leases will be renegotiated, and production will continue.  Exploration and drilling of new wells needs higher prices, yes.

Oil wells being drilled after fracking doesn't last long. New wells needs to be drilled very frequently. And the crude oil extraction is a very labor intensive process. This plays to the disadvantage of the American crude oil producers, as the labor costs there are more than 10 times that in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or Qatar.

This starts economically, and in particular it means getting independanet of foreign oil.  Thanks to the US Fracking industry to get that accomplished, after the Democratic party in the pockets of the Saudis over four decades destroyed the ability of the US to be energy independent through nuclear power.

Fracking is a very expensive process, and with the crude oil prices dipping below the $40 per barrel mark, not many of the American oil producers will be able to survive. In the past 6 months or so, the American crude output has declined by almost 5%. Nuclear energy is a good alternative, but trucks and cars can't run on electricity. They need gasoline.

The best way to fix this problem is not now but in the future. We need to keep our nose out of the Middle East and quit breeding war torn countries where all the people know is misery and hate.

This is just election rhetoric. I don't think that he will put this in to practice, if he ever become the POTUS. He is not going to lose any votes as a result of this. Almost all the American Muslims vote democrat, and they are very loyal to Hillary (especially after it was revealed that her lesbian partner is a Muslim of Pakistani origin).

Oh, let the Muslims come. It will give the cops something to use for target practice rather than us citizens.

Syed Rizwan Farook, the ISIS jhadi who perpetrated the 2015 San Bernardino shooting was an American citizen. And more importantly, he was born in Chicago, Illinois to parents who were naturalized US citizens. This means that even if you place a carpet ban on Muslim immigration to the United States, w.e.f 2016 January, there is still a chance of a terror attack happening.

And Obama has banned surveillance of Mosques.

August 2, 2011- In an interview with Countdown host Keith Olbermann on Tuesday, former vice president and Current TV founder Al Gore said the United States needed an “American spring” like the Arab spring in the Middle East and Northern Africa.

“We need to have an American spring,” he said. “Non-violent change, where people from the grassroots get involved again. Not in the tea party style. There are people who are genuinely upset in the tea party, I understand that, but that movement was funded with seed money from right-wing billionaires, the Koch brothers, and promoted on Fox News and turned into a stalking horse for this right-wing agenda that a lot of people have been trying to push on this country for a long time.”

“This country is in trouble,” Gore added. “Our democracy has been withering on the vine. This has been going on for some time.”

Monday on Countdown, Gore called the U.S. system of government “broken” and “in real trouble.”

Good. Islam must be banned, too. If I were a citizen of the US I'd 100% vote for Trump.

Rather, ban the legal code against any human being that hasn't harmed anyone. Let only the corporations be under the legal code.

Federal authorities have arrested a naturalized U.S. citizen who they say was part of a conspiracy to provide firearm scopes, tactical vests and other supplies to a Syrian rebel group that “frequently fights alongside” al-Qaeda’s affiliate in that country.

Amin al-Baroudi, 50, who also goes by Abu al-Jud, was charged in an indictment unsealed last week with violating U.S. sanctions against Syria and conspiring to defraud the United States. Court records show that Baroudi was formally served with his charges on Thursday at Dulles International Airport. An indictment had been filed against him secretly in federal district court in Alexandria in April.

A burly man with a salt-and-pepper beard, Baroudi said nothing Monday at a brief court appearance at which a federal magistrate judge ordered him detained pending further legal proceedings. His attorney, Anthony Capozzolo, said in court that Baroudi had been to Saudi Arabia and suffered a heart attack there but offered no other details about the case or Baroudi’s background.

Well, its hard being a politician sometimes making calls that don't favour a portion of the population, but surely it's always in the best interest of the majority.

It certainly would have garnered support among the hardliners.
However, most people would find his views extreme. It isn't "politically correct".

At first I thought that The Donald was trying to make himself unelectable so as not to threaten the darling of nutcases from Wall St. through Madison Avenue to Neocon City, namely Mrs. Crazy herself. But Cheney is someone you tend to be 180 degrees from - automatically - so maybe there´s more to it.

Donald Trump urges ban on Muslims coming to US

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-35035190

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has called for a halt to Muslims entering the US, in the wake of the deadly California shootings.
He said in a campaign statement the border shutdown should remain "until our country's representatives can figure out" Muslim attitudes to the US.
